As I suspected in another thread, it looks like "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" was not in fact the lead single off her forthcoming album, but rather it is the title track "I Look to You" which has leaked (in LQ versions) over the past few days.

From Clive's "Showcase" Announcement, here is the leak of the single. While I didn't hate "I Didn't Know My Own Strength", there is no doubt, "I Look to You" is ... miles above it.

Still seems to be playing it safe, it isn't the soaring ballad I had hoped for, but it is still a good song. A few repeat listens will be required before I can decide how much I like it or not.

On Amazon.com "I Look to You" is currently #24 and is second among all pre-sales (with only The Beatles Ultimate Collection ranking above it). Of note, the Top 25 contains 12 titles from Michael Jackson/Jackson 5.

This still hasn't been officially confirmed as the lead single. Many sources have stated (and have yet to retract) that "Million Dollar Bill" will be the lead single, and is to debut at the end of the month.

Who knows.

I'm more inclined to believe this will be the lead single because it is already getting significant airplay from what I hear, while IDKMOS has not gotten much (if any) since it leaked, which is rather unusual.

Is this album going to be a mess of piano-driven ballads?

Pretty much from what I hear. Though they promised some more like her "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" days but from the clips that have leaked I don't see that happening.

This single will probably do well on the AC charts.

Milli Dollar Bill or whatever is the lead single, from what I've heard as well. It was also written by Alicia Keys.

The album has moved up to #18 on Amazon's overall Music sales chart. It should hit #1 before the album officially releases.

What a shit song. Sounds exactly like every other R&B ballad.

some of the other songs have leaked and whilst theres nothing there as good as her "Your Love Is My Love" CD there are a few surprises that arent just ballads.

Ordinary album filled with mediocre songs. Nothing really stands out, it's not that it's crap or anything, it's just doesn't take you anywhere and felt really well boring in some ways.

The voice has definately gone as well....and you don't hear people bagging it the same way as Mariah, a definate double standard here. Mariah at least has shade and can bring it with the vocal runs and high notes.....Whitney's voice now is just sad.....she can't do her signature vocal runs anymore.

BTW - they are already advertising this the "greatest comback" ever....Puh-lease....the album is not even out yet and already 2 singles have flopped......greatest, yeah right.

She'll do well in the album sales as people haven't heard from here for so long but I think musically, she didn't bring it with this one.

Did anyone catch the GMA performances. OMG, talk about no voice....aren't these people suppose to be professionals?....she couldn't even make it pass the first song.

There's obviously dubbing here...especially on I'm Every Women.

Bought the album yesterday and scanned through most of the songs.

There's maybe 3 or 4 that I think I can listen to most of the time. It's an okay album overall and I'm just glad she's come out with new stuff.

Anyone got any idea how it's doing??
