I say 37 million for the opening week. I think it has a chance now to crawl to 100 million mark.

It would be awesome if it were the next The Matrix, but that's probably unlikely. It needs to have a big opening with incredible legs and WOM to get to the level of The Matrix. However, I still believe it'll be a hit.

I think It will pass speed, I also have another prediction that i call the insane prediction with the film having a multiplyer a little over 5.0 with the 40m, I dont think it will pass the matrix, unless it can pull some great legs as my insane prediction points out. I thin a multiplyer over 3.0 is almost a garantee its just a matter of how much the film opens with, as my prediction shows Im aiming in the 40m area

I hope it can match the matrix and speed in terms of quality though.

You think it's a guarantee?

Why? I mean, if it does have good WOM (which so far, it does), it's still not really the type of movie to get over 3x multiplier, let alone a 4x multiplier. A 3x multiplier is achievable, yes, but certainly not a guarantee, in my opinion.

the thing is I dont think a lot of people think of this film as a horror/thriller film, even i dont for some reason :???: anyway BOM doesnt realy think so also in there similar films bracket The Matrix, Spawn, Hellboy, the Devil's Advocate, and Exorcist: The Beggining are the films they compare it to only E: TB is a horror/thriller film out of all those IMO. So I dont thing the usual 2.0-2.5 mulatiplyer is going to apply well to this film considering how good everyone is saying it is, and looking at the performance of most extemely well receieved films of Constatine's nature.
Hellboy and E: TB were nothing but money milking films for the distributors that made them, and Spawn was just flat out horibly recieved but the other two movies which also star Reeves are considered awesome by most and did awesome both gross wise and mutiplyer wise so I put this film in the line of The Devil's Advocate and The Matrix. I expect this film to be very supprising in both its run and how good most people will find it to be so I expect great things. I cant wait to see waht this film can do

The House of Wax trailer is crap.

Oh no. From the wannabe Texas Chainsaw Massacre opening, to the listing of every single actor in the movie as though they were A-list (and I'd only heard of two of them), and finally the fact that the trailer is basically a series of clips of people running with laughable dialogue (and people were indeed laughing as the trailer ran), it's just utterly, utterly terrible.

Let's put it this way -- the trailer's 'money shot/concept reveal' is a wax dog snapping to life. Hardly terrifying or exhilerating.

Maybe some people dont see it so much as an action horror pic but some may be intrigued by the fantasy heaven & hell theme

I thought the movie was really more horror than fantasy action (unlike Blade).

Also, Constantine will be playing in 3,006 theaters this weekend. :D

My predictions:

Opening: $26.5 million ($30.4 million 4-day)

That's not my final prediction, probably.

Yes,.
I think that House of Wax trailer isn't crap, but it is far from great.

Pretty "normal" (biside one died scene.)

However, "A Scanner Darkly" trailer is attractive. I smell Oscar nomination for this one
