What I'm getting at is that your last mod log is dated August 19th, which was a user comment about yourself. And most of your posts have been in drama related chats for the past several months.

When you become the Admin of these forums, this will be your problem to worry about. Until then, I'm left wondering why you felt compelled to snoop into the issue as much as you did.

As a user, it's concerning.

Anyone here will tell you the site lacks proper updating. Calculator hasn't been updated since Oct 25th, users asking for threads to be sticked/unsticked days and days before they actually are, all sorts of little problems that shouldn't be problems at all on forums, Eagle. Especially a smaller forum like KJ.

Not about too many mods, but about how much one actually does.

Well, she's likely feeling frustrated about being passed over for a modship.

Wrong, I am not asking anymore.

For the Month of Novemeber I did more than almost all the mods/admins combined, and on one day more than Snrub has the entire time he's been a mod. It's not worth it in the slightest. I'll continue doing what I do as long as I can or whatever, I really like a forum that is updated.

The calculator can be updated anytime. I think you have access, if someone else wants to do it, then they can. If no one wants to do it, then it must not be important enough anyways. The calculator functions without the need to be updated, it can be updated by each user who uses it, having it updated each week is an added bonus only.

As for mods, I haven't seen that many threads going untouched. Do you have examples? Is something PM'ing these mods?

It's very annoying Eagle to manually update that calculator every week.

If you go ask the Derby Players in the Bash right now, ask them if they are satisfied with it, most will say "No." One person, whoever it is, taking 5 minutes to update it on the weekend is very helpful. I decided not to updated it months and months ago because I eventually became the sole person doing it and had too much going on at the time to deal with it.

The Box Office Games Forum was a huge problem a few months back. Anyone who had a game running at that time will tell you it took forever to get the old threads unsticked and the new ones sticked. Christian wasn't able to handle the Water Cooler and updating the BO Games Forum every other day, too much for one person to do period. I don't think users should have to PM a mod to sticky something for them two, three, or more days later, do you? I remember Chip even posting that someone should sticky the threads weekly. I'm not being a bitch here, but really, think about it. Is something like that not supposed to be a very basic thing?

xiayun is great, but he's clearly not on enough to keep things updated as often as a forum like the BO Games Forum is supposed to me. Snrub, I'm not sure how often he's on, but he barley has a log history. MadGez is solid, and I remember very clearly when he became a mod asking if he could perhaps keep an eye on the BO Games Forum because it wasn't being updated very often. He did at first, but it went back to normal shortly after. Not going to blame him because he's the only mod left who is on and does things regularly. Christian was awesome. He didn't like doing it too much, but he was doing his duty very, very well.

I don't want to sound all "Im the best ever!!!", but if I wasn't able to update that forum like I have been for months now, especially with Christian gone, it'd be a complete mess every single week. I have offered to help out anywhere I can, and if one leaves out the forum chats or whatever, I don't see how it's not more clear I really wanted to help the forum out, badly. I could care less if my name was blue. I like working for things, I don't want any special gifts if I know I couldn't do the job or if I knew there would be others who could do it better than me. I'm not like that. The times I have asked have been purely because I notice the lack of mod activity, etc. I'm not going to ask anymore because apparently how I'm viewed on the forum is more important than the job I do already. If asked, dunno.

So you complain it's not getting done, but refuse to update it yourself. Complain about the state of the forums, then praise yourself for holding everything together. Sounds about right.

Oh Gulli is 100% correct Corpse, you've been in and responsible for the 2nd most drama blow ups of anyone here and have spread lies and bullshit to everyone (such as this weekend by letting Zep post that picture and pretending you were surprised when he did... that really helped, honestly). It's Maverikk and then you. Except he does this for shits and giggles. The fact that you nearly match him in quantity of disruption despite him trying to be the evil bastard of KJ, says a fucking lot.

Let's play a game.

Name one lie I've spread. One lie that is without a doubt is a lie.

What about the one in my quote. After Zep posted the picture you said "wat", an exclamation of surprise that was clear and utter bullshit.

I'm not 100% up to date on the skype thing but I'm taking Gulli/Ripper/etc.'s word that you spread shit around in PMs. If I misinterpreted their posts then whoops. But from what I gathered from the Water Cooler posts much of the "evil skype group" drahamaz was spread around without any proof of the matter at all.

For the record though, even if you didn't lie, it's clear forum shitfests follow you around like flies. So please don't give us this Mother Teresa and victim act of fighting against cyber bullying and being mature.

My honest opinion is that despite the shit that comes up, I like having you, Mav, Korrgan, getluv, Chip here. KJ is entertainment. You guys bring the entertainment. As long as you're not 100% trolling like Zep or clearly breaking the rules, then I want everyone in. I only dislike Goldie... what a waste of oxygen. Loyal needs to travel to his house and smash his computer (and face) for the benefit of the world.

It is not my job to update that calculator anymore. I told you myself I wasn't going to do it anymore many months ago. I'm not praising myself, I think it's a little I guess sad I have to do it and notice things that need to be done? The "powers" I have are in the BO Games Form alone, I can't do anything outside of it. I dunno.

The point Eagle is that things are not being done, and something needs to. Really. I dunno.

Corpse, I did assign Christian when he said he will do it. I havent really gotten any complaints about the BO games not being stickied enough save for maybe 2 messages which was like 3 months back. When I asked Christian and Madgez if it was too much to do because like you said Christian at times had to do some of the cooler modding and Madgez had to stuff like creating more movie lists at the critics forum etc. They do work hard at it so to alleviate some of the chores I asked the mods if they would be fine with handing some of the stickying to you citizens similiar to what Groucho has. We agreed on it but havent seen any complaints about Quiz forum for the past month or so. If its too much of a hassle, I could try to maybe give one or two more people similiar powers for stickying/unstickying at the quiz forum

The reason, Royd, no one has complained about the BO Games forum in the past 3 months is because that is when I was given mod powers in it. I think I missed my first day not doing the usual work just last week, one time not being on that same day the threads are changed in three months. I want to update it. I was hoping it'd kind of show I know what I'm doing, and if people look beyond the drama, which I've been involved in very little the past several months, the situation would be the only thing close to drama I've been involved in. No, it's not a hassle at all. I ENJOY doing it. It's why I'm even going to help Korrgan with the Inferno because I don't want to see that game ruined for the players. If anything I wish I could do MORE. But I can't, and I know asking if I can help out elsewhere is out of the question because of my forum presence. Fair? I have mixed feelings. I think I've made it clear I want to do this, and I'm willing to do much more over the past several months. It really, really sucks you know, wanting to do more, wanting to help out, but know you can't because people will throw a fit over issues not even related to the job itself.

There, shack is offering to update that calculator. Why not let him? It'd really be appreciated by many derby players I'm sure.

To be honest, again I don't know how much extra modding is needed outside the BO forum and calculator. There's stickies in the Critics and Box-Office forums every week but I can't remember the last time someone forgot to do those. I always consider the modding mostly as a police force, putting their authority in when things get out of hand and etc. I agree with kypade that there is too many already, especially with a relatively tame and mature forum like KJ that doesn't get new asshead trolls and spambots every day. I suppose when you have that many one can be online all the time when trouble starts, or so in theory. Modding is essential to assert authority and put shitmakers in their place, but I dunno how much extra work needs to be done on KJ right now, it looks a-ok to me.

I'll toss that idea around in the mod forums about giving restrictive ops for updating the calculator. I'm not sure if I have access to the calculator anymore, I haven't checked in ages.
I have mod powers over the BO Games Forum and I know I have access to the Main Site Predictions now with Omni.

I'm not sure how Royd/Nebs and the Mods handle the forum, but from what I can tell they assign different parts of the forum to each mod. MadGez seems to be the mod for the more movie related forums, same with xiayun, while Snrub I'm guessing mainly looks after the Water Cooler, but I'm not sure what he does. I don't want to sound mean, but he doesn't have a history to go by. Christian was the main mod over the Water Cooler and the smaller forums below it, but he's gone now of course, so I don't know who keeps up with the Water Cooler or the Music/Video Games/etc, the less active forums below. I could be completely wrong about all this, but that's how I think it works right now. Which forums would I like to mod beyond the BO Games Forum? The Water Cooler for one, and really, if I was to ever cause a problem it'd be so easy to get rid of me. I wouldn't case a problem, as far as I know it's a group decision with most issues in there. And the other smaller forums, Video Games, Music, the less active ones since I don't think they are payed much attention to, not sure though. That would be what I would like to do anyway.

Yep, IMO modding should be more about maturity and level headed ness and respect among the group of regular posters than activity, and thus Snrub and Madgez were great choices.

I would turn down modding if it was offered. That job turns posters into Jack from the Shining and I've had enough of dealing with forum shit from the old BOF gig.

What was the criteria for Snrub OTHER than he's tight with the admins? Just curious, as it was an odd choice.
