It still has a chance. A 3x multiplier for a holdover is not that hard, even on Superbowl weekend. Agreed. Without Superbowl, most films have 3.2-3.5 multiplier and 4.0-4.5 for kid movies this time of the year. With Superbowl, it will only cut 0.2 away from the multiplier. Disagreed. Friday: $3.10 (+190%) Saturday: $4.16 (+34%) Sunday: $1.46 (-65%) 3-Day: $8.7 Well, it will be close, but that's about how much White Noise increased on its 2nd Sat and how much The Butterfly Effect dropped on Superbowl Sunday. The problem is that because the movies will drop so hard on Sunday, more people will go to the movies on Saturday, making the increases bigger.
exactly

Actually, after checking out The Butterfly Effect's second weekend, which also fell on the Super Bowl weekend, Micasey does have a point. It only increased 33% on Saturday before dropping 67% on Sunday.

Boogeyman is much lower than the other estimate, so it will be interesting to see what it actually made. Alone in the Dark had a miniscule increase and is down over 70% from last Friday; its weekend-to-weekend drop should be even worse.

Thought I thought The Wedding Date looked awful, I'm very happy it is doing well...for Mulroney and especially Messing.
This proves what great advertising, focusing on a guy's butt, can do

WOO HOO!!! Hey I'm getting better at this box office predicting.. I predicted 25 Million for Boogeyman and looks like it might just do that.. =D> See?? And how stupid the studio was for not having critic screenings and worried too much about whether it sucked or not and looks like maybe it didn't...

$20m will be a stretch, and it will drop terribly.
The Boogeymans reviews are on par with Elektra's
The Wedding Dates are only marginally better,.

great job for Boogeyman, didn't hit my prediction but atleast it'll make $20M. $8M/$9.5M/$4M will give it $21.5M for the weekend. Saturday's # will be a bit inflated from those who wanna see it but can't on Sunday.
