Post Re: "Gossip Girl" (Season 2)
I finally watched both season two eps... And what can I say? For a groundbraking show CW makes it out to be it's cliched to the max. They broke everyone up, just to make a way (though for some couples surprisingly interesting) with some obstacles to get them back together?!?! Oh, please. It has been done to death in various teeny bopper shows. I hope they find some fresher storylines in the future eps.

But - I must say that the Duchess and the Lord are quite an intriguing addition (though Marcus' introduction and how he got with Blair is more than unbelieveable - it's preposterous - but then again it's GG. Writers have proved they're not the smartest ones in the business). I just hope they won't blow it as they totally blew "OMG I killed a man!" storyline (I mean how stupid can you be to think that you killed a man that overdosed by himself in front of you????).

Thank God Georgina isn't even mentioned. I hope it stays that way until the show ends. What a lousy addition to the cast she was. She basically singlehandedly made GG crap in the second half of the season.

No Lily???? I'm hoping she comes back soon from her honey moon. Rufus and Lily have great chemistry and it's good to see them together on screen.

Jenny isn't such an annyoing brat. I think she had a few acting lessons.

It's a better show than it was. Which wasn't so hard because second half of the first season sucked hard. But it has a long way to go to become a really good show.

Another fantastic episode. The Dan-Serena scenes felt very believable and the resolution was actually quite sad and touching. And the Blair-Chuck scenes were obviously the highlights - I loved the scene with them in the bedroom for obvious reasons. And the Duchess is an absolute bitch, I hope she leaves soon.

Can't wait for next week! :)

I actually like Marcus now, after tonight's episode. I still want Blair and Chuck together, I luved them so much last season, but Marcus' scenes were nice tonight. He was awful in the first two episodes. Next week looks fun.

The most fun episode of GG in... ever!

Blair-Marcus-Chuck triangle is fun but I hope that now Chuck is out so Blair and Marcus have a clear road.

Nate-Duchess-Vanessa triangle is little less fun, but fun nevertheless. Duchess is a mean machine every soapy series should have. I want her to stay, so hush thompsoncory. ;-) She's a bitch Blair aspires to be and Georgina was supposed to be, but they didn't manage to pull that one off.

Dan and Serena's relationship was handled pretty good. They were a good couple but I hope they won't get back together. I want them to become best friends and have relationships with some new people. BTW Those little girls in the park were funny.

Ummmm, Jenny... Her storyline sucks as usual.

Rufus is dating... Hmmmm, another triangle is shaping up once Lily comes back... Or maybe there will be more angles with Chuck's dad and Dan and Jenny's mom...

GREAT episode. My opinion best so far of the season. Leighton Meester killed it tonight. KILLED IT. Also loving Serena Vs Dan. It had to happen and I'm happy it is.

Tonight's episode was absolutely fantastic, and I'd definitely agree that it's the best so far in this already great season. The Dan-Serena rivalry is awesome and their storyline is now incredibly entertaining to watch. I LOVED the final few scenes with Serena both de-throning Blair and the moment at the end with Dan. I also didn't see the twists with the Duchess and Amanda coming at all. Leighton Meester was great tonight too, as always - and continues to make Blair one of the best characters on television.

Great episode. Serena proves she can be a complete bitch by dethroning Blair and taking down Dan.

I almost forgot, I LOVED the scene where Blair and the others were "interviewing" the other girls. It was absolutely classic :hahaha:

I'll concur. The best episode of the season so far.

My only problem was the last scene. Blake Lively can't pull a Queen act if her life depended on it. Her symbolic "dethroning" of B and her last walk were so underwhelming.

EDIT: Oh, and Vanessa acted pretty stupid. What did she expect Blair to do? Solve everything in two seconds? She told her late in the evening and waited for her in the morning at school to confront her why she ddn't do anything?!?!? WTF?!?!?

Seriously? I thought that scene was awesome and brought some much needed life into her storyline.

And yes, Vanessa was an idiot. She didn't trust Blair, but she literally gave her no time to even remedy the situation.

On a side note, I'm really enjoying Jenny this season. She's quickly become one of the show's most likable characters.

I can't wait for Jenny to get her revenge. You know it's coming.

Blair is getting a taste of her own medicine with Serena dethroning her and Chuck planning it all.

Wasn't Georgina supposed to come back this season?

It takes one to give a birth to one. It's more of a genetic thing I've come to realize. You can't just become one.

I can't stand Dan. Hope Serena stays far away from him.

Words hurt.

But it was the best episode of this season so far.

I like Dan. I hope they get a new love interest for him since Serena has become a total bitch and they probably won't be getting back together anytime soon.

To think of it Georgina would be a perfect way for Blair to get back her throne as Queen Bee from Serena.
