Christmas on October 22nd... people are not ready.
It will be lucky to make $12 million this weekend.
And with the reviews being as bad as they are...

The fact that they are releasing this now annoys me. So i don't care about the movie anyway. I like christina applegate though. But she's had a hit with Anchorman this year so..... whatever.

Opening: $6.8
Total: $30.0
I'm sure they'll expand it closer to Christmas, but right now, nobody wants to see it.

If they let Kevin Smith write this movie, and have Ben Affleck in it...the movie would have been great. But instead, it looks like it will horrible to watch, which really sucks.

With almost 2 screens and 8-10 showings per theater, a PTA of 3700 shouldn't be difficult to achieve. 10M weekend.

Hey, even Gigli had 2 screens releases. A 3000 PTA is not garenteed.

How come you predict a multiplier of 3.5 despite the horrible reviews?

Looks terrible. And what a bad release date for a Christmas themed movie.

Ben Affleck in a role that nowadays people see him as in general. It doesn't look funny and should be closer, In the End Christmas with the Kranks will make close to 100 million while this will struggle to 30 million.

I've changed my opening weekend prediction to 9.5, after seeing all the bad reviews.
maybe $35 million total, due to a christmas weekend increase.
