The number of trans-gender members of this forum should make no difference. Your comments were derogatory and offensive towards a particular group of people, and the number of trans-genders around to hear it, be it none or 50, is completely irrelevant.

If you're in a room full of white men like yourself, does it become OK to spew racist filth since no one from the offended group is around to hear? From the little I know of you over the years, you are not like that at all, so your comments are a bit confusing to me. Maybe I took your post for something it wasn't, but to me, it seemed an opinion veiled as an insult.

It's not like this forum isn't filled with derogatory and offensive comments directed at groups all the time, but when I do it, the hypocrites like box and zack, who are about as offensive and insulting as it gets, get on their soapbox and make a big deal out of nothing. It was a serious question and thread. Overlysensitive types were clearly warned off from that thread to avoid offending them. I don't have any sympathy for anybody who sticks their hand in the fire and then blames the fire. I especially don't have sympathy when those people are offensive jerks.

You make a few valid points, and a fair number of invalid points. I don't want to discuss the issue at any length, so all I'm going to say is this:

Regardless how many people on this forum go about making derogatory and offensive comments directed at groups, it does not make it acceptable for you to do the same. I'm not saying you are the only one ever to make an offensive comment, far from it, but you still made an offensive comment.

Be a part of the solution, not the problem.

Let us not forget that picking on a single individual is just as bad as picking on a whole group - just not as many people feel the pain when directed at one poor soul.

You mean like how it's okay for Shack to make an insulting and offensive comment toward me in this thread, and none of the hypocrites cared?

Double standards are not the way to make it look like you guys actually aren't just singling out which members are allowed to insult.

Actually there was a time when Shack's and Chips' comments were more offensive and crude, I did tell them cut down on personal attacks and language. They did heed the words but I really cant control a person's action over following people as long as there were no personal attacks involved. I believe my PM did specify this about how you cant control people following others. As I said I wish they would stop following you but it would seem silly to warn someone just for responding to another persons post even if the post was mild. Mav, its just like you have every right to gloat and flaunt someone's bad prediction in their face as long as you arent making the attacks way too personal. But at the same time, you cant blame individuals for responding back. At the same time you cant ask to warn people for following if the comments werent personal and downright insulting and yet let yourself have free reign to criticize individuals who didnt enjoy the Hulk movie or your views. Anyhow I wish most posters will learn the most from MG Casey's example, he had alot of personal attacks directed at him because of beliefs yet his responses are the most mature and non provoking. He even makes fun of himself

That was another reason that I felt that the thread should have been locked because there were alot of attacks directed I believe at a poster named Goldie and in doing so it was actually going to help out that said individual. Im sorry people took it the wrong way and I have unlocked the thread

Because, in my opinion, I don't think Roid is doing an especially good job so far. I'm sorry if that offends, but it's what I think. He's too inflexible and sometimes unable to see things from perspectives other than his own.

I know this post will probably make me unpopular, but I felt like saying it, since it is The Site forum after all.

I don't mean this as an attack, but hopefully constructive criticism. I don't think it's a secret I've never really been Roid's best friend on here, but leaving that all aside, I think he has the capacity/capability to do better.

I feel the need to back you up on this. I like Roid. No issues personally. But I'm not sure how much I like Roid the admin. For the reasons Libs mentioned, as well as some other things. Like the snakebite issue. It seemed like you were backing him up just to spite getluv. Even if you weren't, the way you were treating getluv in the thread definitely came across as siding with the one who was obviously in the wrong just because you don't like who was voicing the complaint.

And in that thread about Snakebite, I've seen him patiently respond with posts I really don't see as biased at all. Nevermind now that after that thread Snakebite still failed to follow the forum rules, so Roid banned him.

you obviously need to check your dictionary definitions of great and biased. and ur not exactly free of bias either. ur another mod who would push me in front of a bus.

and Roid hardly responded. you can even see it in this very thread. if someone was to argue point A, b & C, he argues D, E and F. then when someone argues his point he moves onto something else. WTF!?!?!?! it's like arguing with Mav.
