The "Heroes" Thread: Season 3
Well, it can never be too early for a show like this. After a rather mixed bag that Season 2 was (I'm sure others will find harsher words for that, but I didn't dislike it as much as most did), S3 definitely needs to imrpove on a lot of things. Some thing known about S3 already: - Tom Kring on S3: "“We’ve introduced a cadre of villains over the course of the show and we’re going to see them rise up,†Kring says. “Just as the heroes have found each other to save the world, the villains will do the same with the opposite intent.†And their numbers may be legion. “The Company has catalogued many of these people over the years. There may be more of them down in that basement than we have alluded to so far.â€Â"- Heroes: Season 3 returns on September 15th with a 3-hours Heroes-night (first hour consisting of a clip show showing what happened thus far and then a two-hours-premiere) - Heroes: Origins is officially dead ( http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.ph ... 0&id=51591) - Kristen Bell will be back as Elle ___________________________________________________________________________ Things that need to happen, IMO: - More focus and not too many new supporting characters - Bring back Adam Munroe and let him team up with Sylar - Leave Nikki dead!!

Leave Nikki alone. She just needs to go psycho and kill a lot of the supporting cast.
Season 2 was very shit, nothing happened.

Here's what it can do.
Kill Hayden off the show. Or get canceled.

Re: The "Heroes" Thread: Season 3
How well do you think the premiere is gonna do in regard to the amount of viewers who tune in. The Season 2 Premiere was seen by 14.1 million people. The finale was seen by 11.06 million people. So, I'm guessing between 12-13 million?

I would have Adam the leader of a super Villain society. He works better as a Lex Luthor figure who manipulates others. Not sure why Sylar would join unless it was in his best interest.

Is Kristen Bell returning as a main series star or just a recurring character?

Re: The "Heroes" Thread: Season 3
I haven't decided if I'm going to drop Heroes next season.
I have less and less time to watch TV, and the show didn't really hold my interest much (other than the welcome addition of Kristen Bell) during the second season.

Re: The "Heroes" Thread: Season 3
Kristen Bell was awesome and the best part of Season 2 by far.
Otherwise, the bulk of the season was very, very lame. Although I liked the new characters in the New Orleans subplot, the characters of Maya and Alejandro were two of the worst creations ever - and none of the storylines with the returning characters were interesting at all with the exception of Claire and her family (I still maintain that the best episode of the series ever was "Company Man," which focused exclusively on them.
NBC just needs to realize that this is still not the "massive hit" series they keep trying to make it. Sure, it has a solid audience, but it's never going to be a 20+ Million show.
I'll definitely watch the third season though. Should be an improvement since the creators have basically admitted that they screwed up.

Re: The "Heroes" Thread: Season 3
I'll definitely start watching the third season. But if it continues in the same lame way season two was I won't watch Heroes anymore.
It's good Kristin is staying, but I read somewhere she's in a new ABC pilot that's being helmed by Rob Thomas. Frankly if the pilot gets picked up I'd rather see her in that show than Heroes.
Thing they need to do ASAP: Kill off (or just write out) as much people as they can. In the first season they had a nice balance between a lot of characters and the story because they were all intertwined. But they introduced a large number of characters while keeping almost all of the characters from the first season. Most of the characters (new or old) never really did anything but that didn't stop the crew to waste a lot of time on them. And they blew potentially most interesting storyline about the nightmare man.

In other news: Adam is supposed to appear in at least one of the first six episodes of S3. Also, Zachary Quinto said that current plans are for him to team up with other baddies.

It needs to find better comic books to rip off. Legacy Virus was the early nineties, considered a nadir by many X-Men afficinados.

Re: The "Heroes" Thread: Season 3
Fairly major spoiler:Sylar slices open the head of the person you may consider the show's biggest star! That happens within the first two episodes and we also learn exactly what he does once Sy-baby pops the lid on our heroic pals, so let's just say that there is plenty to look forward to early on in season three. Hmmmmmm, sounds very interesting...

Events like the ones in Lecter's spoiler don't really touch me on Heroes. When you have "special powers" you can always find a way to undo it.
