That number is just a static representation. I forgot to change it, will do so now.

I think You took my originally suggested formula where it punishes players more for under-predicting comparing to BOM's, probably too severely. We could use the BOM one for now until we come up with a better thought-out one.

I haven't looked at the results, other than to see they were off, but when I coded it, I used BOM's formula.

Looks like it's scores are correct, it's just comparing mis-matched numbers. I'll hopefully fix this Wednesday.

I re-worked the code for adding actuals, running the script to update scores, and the 'My Results' page.

As far as I can tell, all is now working fine. Your scores should be totally correct, everything should be correct.

Please check, and let me know if you see anything not correct. Otherwise, START PREDICTING! YOU CAN ALWAYS EDIT LATER! So far there is only 1 prediction for this week, and it's mine.

To be honest, I am washing my hands of promoting this. I just have way too much work to get done, and not enough time to do it!

With school starting again, it just makes it that much harder.

Here is a list of some things on my to-do list:

- Make everyone's name 'clickable'. When clicked, it will take you to their results. The page it takes you too will be exactly like the 'My Results' page, except it will be for the person's name you clicked.

- Re-code the calculator. I need to update the admin page, and re-do the code the users see. I am also going to integrate the new calculator with the "This Weeks Entry" page. Thus every time the calculator is updated, the "This Week's Entry" page will automatically update so that it shows: What your current predicted score is for each movie, and what your overall score is predicted to be.

- Tracking for openers and holdovers. I am working on this now, and hope to have it done later today. This will allow tracking for Openers / Holdovers, giving each user an average % for each over all their predictions. It will also show how they did for each the last week played on the 'My Results' page.

- Hall of fame page will show many results ... who's has the most wins, who has the most top 10s, top 20s, who is the best at predicting holdovers, openers for all time, who is the best for each in a single week, single year, single month, etc, etc. I will likely show the top 10 for everything above.

- Results page, this page will allow you to choose any two dates, and it will pull the results for all predictions within those dates. So if you want to see who was the best between March and June 2008, it will show you the list, etc, etc.

There are a few more things, but these are the ones I'm focusing on as of now.

Been a long day of work, but the game should now track your scores for holdovers and openers.

It will track how you do on them each week, and overall. The results will show up on the 'My Results' page, and eventually, the rankings page.

Also, we have already matched the number of participants from last week, thanks to Loyal's PM. Yay.

Is the deadline midnight or 4:00am EST? I thought the latter (it says it on the prediction page) and I kinda wanted to update one thing really quickly.

It worked when I tested it, not sure why it didn't work now. I'll do a test and see if I can't figure it out. Apologies to everyone who wanted to change predictions.

Is there a reason not to set the due date a bit later? Friday movies don't start until at least 10am EST, so maybe an 8am cut off so people have a bit extra time? Or is this for when there are movies with midnight showings on Thursday? Or am I not understanding it at all?

I was given 4:01 am ET as a valid deadline. From what I understand, BOM uses the same deadline. I think it makes sense, because: it gives West coast and International people a bit more time, while not being TOO late. If you wait till 8am, then your pushing the limit with Midnight showings and the like.

In any case, I believe I have fixed the problem (of course I thought I did last time too).

Oh, and we had 25 Entrants this week, up from the 14 last week.
