I cant tell you who will win. But I can tell you this:

by January 20th when the Pres is sworn in.

Gas will still be $2.50/per gal
You will still pay the same amount of taxes or more
We will still have many, many troops in Iraq
More jobs will have been outsourced to Bangalore
Healthcare costs will have risen
Social Security will still be an empty bank account

The French will still be a country of assholes.

Yes. But depending on who gets elected:

1. Women will develop new relationships with coat hangers
2. Gays will not be recognized by the government as being married even if the particular religious institution they are part of supports it
3. Iran?
4. North Korea?
5. Your phone will be allowed to be tapped into and all your email read
6. You may (not) here alot more interesting facts about dogs sniffing out armadillos in Bush's back yard in his ranch down in Texas

No evidence of that coming from the Bush campaign.

Not up to Bush to decide whatsoever.

Will still be a part of Axis of Evil and will still be trying to arm themselves.

This is already a reality and has been for the past 70 years or so (except ofr email of course)

Post FINAL Predictions
Okay, it's that time. Start casting you're final electoral college predictions. We'll see who's closest.

Me: Kerry - 287
Bush - 251

It'll all come down to Florida, Ohio, and, in the event of Kerry and Bush splitting the two, New Hampshire, Maine, and New Mexico.

Kerry will win the popular vote, but with less than 50%. He will win Florida, but lose New Hampshire and Ohio.

Those numbers look familiar.

I'm not sure about the actual number each will receive, but I do think Bush will win.

If we're going to predict the electoral college can we have a cut off date of one week before the election and the thread starter (Amer) compile the guesses into one post.

Assuming there is real interest in doing that by enough people.

As you can see, even they have Bush winning. ;)

Kerry will NOT win Florida. Not even the liberals can sue for those electoral votes.

And the constitutional amendment Bush keeps trying to push through would be what then? I humble gesture toward equal representation under the law?

And what Makeshift just posted too.

There are highly contentious issues, but they don't mean that Bush is going to outlaw abortion itself.

And need I remind you that John Kerry support partial birth abortion ban?

You know that for amendment to pass it has to be approved by two thirds of the Congress and three quarters of the states, right? Bush supports it, but it doesn't mean he has any say in it passing.

I played around with my little presidential calculator, and came to one of two scenarios. I don't think FL is going democrat. They know who their governor is and they need federal dough to dig out of four hurricanes. That is, those of them that have a permanent address left by the time Jeanne hit land.

I think Ohio is going Kerry. They've never been swing before, but are turning around, and he had a solid debate victory there.

Oregon and New Mexico go Kerry, Colorado, Iowa, and Minnesota go Bush.

IMO, it doesn't come down to Florida in this election...

It comes down to Wisconsin. There current governor, Jim Doyle, is a Democrat.

If they go democrat:

Kerry: 272
Bush: 266

If they go republican:

Kerry: 262
Bsuh: 276

Anyone from the area have a general sense of the sentiments of the state? I have no idea.

The fact that he's even proposing it is offensive and should be indicative of what he would love to have happen. Just cause my man Kennedy is voting no, doesn't shift the responsibility away from Bush for announcing such a preposterous resolution over national airwaves.

No it doesn't.

But that doesn't mean that Bush's cause will prevail if he is re-elected, like you have indicated.
