good thing I forgot to post my derby predictions at BOM, Elekra disapoints me bleh CC did awesome as expected In Good Company I think will increase over 50% today causing it to have a ROBUST wknd well over my 12.95m prediction atleast  and Fockers is now garanteed to have 4 strait wknds over 20m  my prediction for it is 21.64m  and who cares about the others lol
Oh and by the way looks like In Good company is going to smash Elektra while in near half the theaters =D> Elektra underperformed big time, but I should have seen the signs as all the people that I thought had lowballed it did

Stinky number for "Elektra" - especially with such great marketing. Oh well, Garner can cushion back on "Alias" with minimal impact to her career [she usually locks her next project before her latest one is in production, a movie a year for good cheer or in this case...not] Im surprisingly OK with Elektra undperforming, even if it dosent do great numbers its still not as big a tank as Catwoman due to a much smaller budget. The fact that "Alias" has performed well this year makes up for it [Although damn american idol for moving]
Actually good number from Coach Carter, lower than the whole reviews thing would have indicated, but still excellent.
As i had predicted [http://naturalflux7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1457] "In Good Company" is doing great. This film has the appeal to older audiences that "Spanglish" should have had, whilst its young and respected stars are pulling in those pre 25 year old crowds. Good marketing and a glossy sheen found in Meyers and Brooks films usually makes this one a critically loved film for the mainstream.
No House of Flying Daggers!? Bad news.... and also not great results from Racing Stripes, although a high multplier is ensured.

As BJ has said before this film will score the highest multiplyer of 05 and go on to be one of the films that cross 100m this year its got a great opening wknd along with awesome WOM to support that  the only thing the film will have to worry about is Hitch but that will be quite a while from now and by then it will have expanded enough for 100m to be posible.

Yes, CATWOMAN beat ELEKTRA on day 1.
Catwoman: $6,092,823 pta: $1,955
Elektra: $4,500,000 pta: $1,401
Catwoman rose 2.2% on the saturday, lets see if Elektra can beat that!
Plus, i think COACH CARTER did AWESOME.

Reviews were only 4% over fresh.

Ehrm, what? Im guessing you totally misunderstood what i just said. For many reasons. I said COACH CARTER did a smidgen lower than expected from its large amount of YAHOO REVIEWS. Nothing about Elektra's stifled freshometer rating.
And lets not forget Catwoman cost over $100m to make, and a further $35m to advertise. Elektras figure is supposed to be around $45-55m - with Garner getting a $5m+ chunk of that. That said theres no dobut that Elektra is a dissapointment, but after those bad reviews starting rolling in, im not terribly surprised.

The Yahoo reviews don't actually mean ALL that much.
So elektra is like; $45M-$55M, + $25M ads, Around $70M.
It will cover that worldwide easy.
And remember, Catwoman's budget was between $85M-$90M.
Elektra will end up grossing more than catwoman in america anyway. It doesnt' have the early killer buzz, it just as worse reviews.
Although if it makes something like $13,000,000 for the 3 day, then....it will finish under $40M.

Sorry folks, Elektra cost closer to 65-70 million, and I'd guess it's at least a 30 million marketing campaign. I knew it'd be a big dissapointment, but I wouldn't have guessed it would be THIS dead!
Great for Carter and In Good Company though. Props to Libs for calling In Good Company last night.

Looks like a broad audience is propelling In Good Company (teens and adults, women and men).
:points and laughs at Elektra:
(I still love you, though, Jennifer)

I got to admit, Elektra's number is bad. There has no opening number that has been this bad since Alexander's opening. I really dont know how much Elektra cost to make since they dont wont post its budget. I did hear one person who hated Elektra at RT say that the movie cost $30 million to make
