 Bionic Woman Season 1
Umm.. Didn't see it, could be wrong. I'm pumped after the buzz it's been getting, anyone else?

 Re: Bionic Woman Season 1
So I'm thinking this will be like Mann and Machine, but without the Mann. I'll watch the first episode because nothing else seems to be on.

I think it seems awful, actually, and don't plan on watching.

 Re: Bionic Woman Season 1
Just finished watching the premiere episode. There's no other way to put it, except that it's simply awful. The writing and acting is amateurish, and there is not one original note in the show's body - the show hits on elements from Superman, Spider-Man and The Matrix. The show also doesn't make a whole lot of sense. How did her boyfriend survive the crash with hardly a scratch on him, while she had two third's of her body replaced?
It was just flat out awful. I give it four weeks.

Some of the lines were laughably over the top bad.
Starbuck was good though.

I knew this would be bad from the very first clips I saw of it. It doesn't seem good at all and I don't see it lasting long, especially with competition from Private Practice.

 Re: Bionic Woman Season 1
NBC might have a major problem on their hands. If Life doesn't improve over the next half hour, and I mean really improve, they're going to have two eventual bombs on their hands. It's a shame too because Life had an interesting premise, it's just that the lead is awful and the documentary side-bits, don't work at all. What is it with this guy anyway? He whispers in every goddamn scene he's in.

I think both shows here as they're setup, probably would've worked better as movies rather than TV shows.

I really liked Life. Didn't like Bionic Woman, though.

I also really like the lead, too. Though that could have to do with him being Captain Winters in Band of Brothers, which I absolutely love, and gives me a soft spot for him.

 Re: Bionic Woman Season 1
Well at least if these bomb and suck more than Chuck, they'll think to cancel them, along with Journeyman, before it. Also, it's a total gift to 30 Rock, The Office, Friday Night Lights... I guess. I've been realizing lately that I don't really like any of the major networks. I love tv, but I dunno... CBS is totally uncreative and boring precedurals, Fox are assholes, can't forgive them for cancelling everything, ABC is totally catered to middle-aged women, I don't even get the CW. NBC is the best but they're still a trainwreck a lot of the time.

I know they're going the cheap route right now, but they need something in front of a live audience.

 Re: Bionic Woman Season 1
Ya. I kind of agree, thought Dirty Sexy Money isnt too typical for ABC, even though its been said to be the male version of Housewives. Ihavent seen Money, feel asleep during Bionic Woman and Private Practice lmfao so I missed it. CBS I like, Ghost Whisperer, How I Met Your Mother and maybe one or two other shows. ABC has Brother's and Sisters, Housewives and Grey's. Fox, Til Death, Family Guy, Back To You. CW or whatever we pick up, Gossip Girl and thats it really. NBC a mess but has some good shows.

 Re: Bionic Woman Season 1
NBC is worth watching for Chuck, Heroes, The Office and 30 Rock.
The CW is a mess, but they have a chance at redeeming themselves with Reaper. They better keep it on the air.
FOX...is awful. Not a single show airing on there that I'm interested in, with the exception of American Idol.
CBS is alright, although I'm not a big fan of any of their shows. I've caught a few on occassion though and they aren't bad.
ABC is great though. I already watch Grey's Anatomy, Brothers and Sisters, Lost, Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty, and plan on adding Pushing Daisies, Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money to that list as well.

 Re: Bionic Woman Season 1
I used to be a fan of The Simpsons, but I haven't watched it live in forever.
I've never seen House, and I'm not a fan of Prison Break (watched the first few episodes and didn't find it that interesting). I intend on watching the former eventually on DVD though.
And 24's first season was great, but I haven't gotten around to finishing the other seasons yet.

 Re: Bionic Woman Season 1
I agree it wasn't very good. I am shocked this came from the same people who did Battlestar. I think it Journeyman was loads better and I am not sure if that will survive.

 Re: Bionic Woman Season 1
The show wasnt really that good either. I dont think it will last till december. I mean I vaguely remembered the old episodes of Lindsay Wagner as a kid when they aired reruns during the afternoon.
What happened to the cool bionic sound in the show? I mean the one that goes WHUMP WHOMP WHUMP WHUMP It also doesnt have the grating unmasked androids from the 70s show. They were Creeeeeeeeeeeepppy
