 Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
I'm so excited. Returns September 30.
Things I want to happen this season. Kill Balathazar Getty off. Give them something to really cry about.
Episode 1: Nora keeps a blog on what's happening in Iraq Holly's friend flirts with Kevin, not knowing he's gay Kitty is etiquette trained

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
yeah yeah yeah. can't wait for this. Easily my favorite broadcast network show going into the new season. Also like the only show that didn't end in a traditional cliffhanger last season.

oh no. episode 2: justin returns from Iraq injured and will never be the same again. kevin and nora pretend to be republicans.
episode 3: julia's (is that what her name was) parents come to visit. julia's dad and tommy fight. the parents leave taking julia with them. dammit, i want tommy gone instead.

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
As much as I like the show, there are a few things I hope it works on in season 2:
1. The cheese factor 2. The intrusive music 3. Balthazar Getty
But other than that... yep, very excited!

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
Congrats to Sally Field on her well-deserved Emmy win!
The first season just came out on DVD today and I'm re-watching the entire show before next Sunday. And yes, I'm watching it with the unaired episode (originally meant to be the second episode of the series) in its original place.

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
There is an unaired episode?? Will I have to buy the DVD now?

Raffiki wrote: There is an unaired episode?? Will I have to buy the DVD now? Yes, I'm watching it now. It was supposed to be the second episode of the series, but was left unaired when the creator decided that it didn't really accomplish much in moving the story forward. He says in retrospect though that it's a great episode that has many memorable moments, and he's glad it is finally going to be seen. It's on the sixth disc of the set as a bonus feature. I'm about 15 minutes in and so far most of the footage has been of the family getting ready for the funeral - Kitty talking to Jonathan about how her father would have wanted her to take the job, Sarah looking for her phone, Justin being unable to find his cufflinks and taking a pill, and Nora playing a piece on the piano. A few great scenes so far.

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
I hate the DVD but I HATE the cover. Do they even try anymore? I thought Grey's was bad (pasting up random headshots of the cast). I thought this was "Grey's Anatomy Season 3: Much More Seriously Extended, So Double-Dip this Set, Please!"

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
If I remember that its on at 7 each week, I might just continue to watch it.
The premiere was pretty easy to follow along with, even having missed the first season with the exception of the first two episodes, it also was pretty good.

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
I loved that scene just now with Nora and Kitty.
Kitty: "What do you think of this dress?" Nora: "It's lovely" Kitty: "Mother, what is wrong with you? I think this might be the most hideous dress that ever existed." Nora: "I'm just trying to be nice!" Kitty: "I don't want nice, I want my mother!"
And I really enjoy the relationship between Nora and Holly. It takes chances more than similiar interactions I've seen on other things, and I find it really refreshing that they sort of seem to be becoming friends.

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
Fantastic season premiere! Many hilarious moments, but also quite a few dramatic ones as well that showed off why this series features some of the best performances on television. The end in particular was really sad and showcased how wonderful Sally Field is once again. I'm so happy she won the Emmy. It was well-deserved.

Re: Brothers & Sisters (Season 2)
Fantastic episode, a bit cliched at times (washroom scene, wedding dress from Nora). But it was sweet and sad, and touching..what B&S should be. The most surprising thing is Rebecca has grown on me so much since last season were I hated her character, but I think she has become really sweet and the writers did a great job with her.

I think the best thing about Rebecca is how surprisingly three-dimensional she is (which is one of this show's strengths, these characters who come across more like real people and less like scripted characters). They didn't take any easy ways out with her character. It also helps that Emily VanCamp is very, very good.

Hmm. Shady how the writers (and ABC) are going with Kevin and his relationship. God forbid there be a functional, loving gay relationship on prime time. Noo. They have to send off the guy half way across the world. AND THEN.. have Kevin commit to him. That way they don't have to worry about writing in dates or gay kisses. Just keep Kevin busy working and referring to his long-ddistance relationship. How safe. How rude!

They killed the storyline because Eric Winter (the actor who plays Jason) is a cast member on Viva Loughlin. Maybe you should...research...before you whine indignantly next time.

He'll be back soon, since Viva Laughlin won't make it past the third episode ;)
