 "The Mindy Project"
Anyone watch this last night? I'd seen the pilot a few times before it aired and watched it last night as well. It's one of my favorite new shows of the season. Kaling is incredibly charming and funny, and the rest of the supporting cast is great. Seems like it's going to be a real winner.

Re: "The Mindy Project" (Season 1)
It wasn't great (it was, true to its original title, kind of messy), but Kaling has a lot of pluck and I think the show can become something great.

Just watched the pilot and loved it. It was very funny. I hope the ratings pick up.

Re: "The Mindy Project" (Season 1)
I wasn't impressed at all by this. A few funny moments throughout, but nothing that warrants more viewings. If I did give it a second shot, it's because I really like Mindy Kaling. She gives a lot here, but I don't know... I do like Chris Messina and Anna Camp here. But it's not good if I like the supporting characters more than the lead.
It's almost cruel to feature Bill Hader and Ed Helms in guest starring roles that won't lead anywhere.

Re: "The Mindy Project" (Season 1)
I decided to watch this live tonight instead of The New Normal. Didn't like this episode as much as the premiere though. But it was still cute.

Really liked the second episode, even though it wasn't laugh-out-loud hilarious. I just love the cast here - everyone is charming and appealing.

Re: "The Mindy Project" (Season 1)
This show is weird in that I'm not finding it very funny yet but it's appealing and enjoyable to watch. Chris Messina being all sexy and stuff helps too.
They need to fix the Anna Camp problem, though. She is fantastic, and they're not doing anything with her. Utilize her, show!

Re: "The Mindy Project" (Season 1)
Latest episode was another great one. I really wish they'd utilize Anna Camp more though. She's so funny and this show isn't taking advantage of that at all.

Re: "The Mindy Project" (Season 1)
This show NEEDS to use Anna Camp. It's so annoying that she's relegated to one scene that isn't even particularly humorous every episode. Incorporate her more into what is going on!
Otherwise, solid episode, if not particularly hilarious. I love Mindy's assistant.

Re: "The Mindy Project" (Season 1)
http://tvline.com/2012/11/20/the-mindy- ... recurring/Anna Camp has been bumped to recurring and Amanda Setton is leaving. Disappointing, but not entirely shocking. I liked Setton's character. And I'm kind of glad Camp will be recurring. She's still going to be on the show and hopefully they'll use her more (I hear they use her a lot in tonight's episode) and stop making it feel like her scenes are shoehorned in. Plus I'm sure she's in demand now due to the big success of Pitch Perfect, and she's already expressed her desire to return to her recurring role on "The Good Wife." Both of these could have been the reasons she asked to be taken off contract. This could be for the best.

I kinda stopped watching this. There's been no indication yet that was a mistake.

Re: "The Mindy Project" (Season 1)
I'm still watching. It's not terrible, but it's not great television either. It's just kind of entertaining. I won't be terribly upset when it's cancelled at the end of the season though.

I enjoyed last night's episode. Look at them finally kind of using Anna Camp! Also, I really like Chris Messina on this show.

Tonight's episode was HILARIOUS. Easily the best one yet. The scenes at the high school were absolutely hysterical, especially the gay best friend and the scene with the condoms in the gym Also the cold open was amazing. All of the episodes of the show should be like this one.

I hope they realize this show isn't going to get another season and they wrap it up nicely, like with Mindy and Messina's character getting together.

Re: "The Mindy Project" (Season 1)
Allison Williams starts a multi-episode arc next week as a potential love interest for Chris Messina. That's awesome! I love her on "Girls."
Say what you will about this show, but they get great guest stars. Already this season we've had Mark Duplass, Ed Helms, Bill Hader and Ellie Kemper, and then in a few episodes Seth Rogen is coming on.

Re: "The Mindy Project" (Season 1)
This show has really found its footing in the latter half of the season. It's consistently great now. Ellie Kemper came back for another guest spot last night and was hilarious as always. "Don't eat that! It could be like one of those pies from The Help!"
