So the first two episodes have been alright. Still not nearly at the show's promise it had in Season 2 but some of the changes so far help.

Felicity is still by far the worst part of the show.

This past week's episode was Arrow at its best. Just a great hour of television and Blackthorne put together one of his best performances over the entire series thus far.

I've enjoyed this season a lot. Wednesday's episode was great. I do think both this and "The Flash" are leaning a little too heavily on the setup for "Legends of Tomorrow" but since I generally like the characters involved it's not bothering me too much.

The latest episode with the "Constantine" crossover just leaked online today.

I'm still enjoying Flash more but the direction Arrow is taking is the right one. It's at least at end of Season 1/beginning of Season 2 goodness.

This show needs more Barrowman and Barrowman walking in at random moments.

It really feels weird how Arrow finally killed off Laurel years after many flans were clamoring for it, and a while after they much redeemed her character.

I don't really know how to feel about it right now. I do think Katie Cassidy deserved better than the wildly uneven characterization she had to go through for the last 4 seasons.

She will appear on "The Flash" in May, BTW.

Just caught up on the last episode and boy it made no sense to kill Laurel at this point. Was it due to contractual obligation or something?

No.

This episode was so frustrating because they put n the grave scene at the beginning of the season with no plan of who would be in it and then it's just decided alright let's kill off Laurel even when the general perception from a majority of people watching the show is that Felicity should have been the one to go.

Guggenheim is messing with this show too much now and he insists he doesn't care what fans think but he responds so positively to any questions made about Olicity.

The first 30 minutes of the episode was the best the show has had in a long time because it actually had strong choreography, an actual thrilling plot, oh and a concentration on the core group instead of being Felicity and Friends. It actually gave a strong look at how the show would have been if Berlanti still had a strong presence over the show.

Even if Laurel's death is a fake out, which seems likely (even though Guggie says it isn't but he's always told the truth with this show) it is still dumb because they have spent so much time messing with Detective Lance losing daughters and not dealing with Canary head on. Hopefully Earth-2 Laurel joins Season 3 of Flash as a regular.

Olicity is definitely ruining the show and at this point don't be surprised if Felicity becomes Black Canary. I'll stick with the show just for the link to the other universe shows but this is going to be hard to come back from.

I actually agree, and this is coming from someone who used to love Felicity.

The fact that Laurel's last words were basically affirmation of the Olicity relationship was ridiculous.

Is Guggenheim a genuine Olicity fan or is he just giving in to the rapid shippers?

I think so or he goes for old school CW as much as possible (see last week's Legends of Tomorrow which he wrote).

The 100 and Arrow did the complete opposites of one another this season with their controversial deaths. The 100 didn't care what Tumblr shipped, Arrow really cares. Thing is those mega Olicity fans are such a small minority and a lot of them are bots. They are also raising money for Guggenheim after this episode as like a thank you. Seriously.

The acting in the latest episode was HORRENDOUS from anyone involved in Diggle's plotline.

The latest episode was a snoozefest. I'm not going to drop this but can they get new writers for season 5 please?

Also, I legit fast forward through the flashback scenes now. So useless.

I donno. Guggenheim may not want to lose the organicness as he has put it.

More intense family drama on Felicity & Friends this week!

This season is awful.

Just watched/fast-forwarded through the finale. It's great fast-forwarding through the useless flashback scenes since you can basically fit this show in a half-hour block.

I 100% agree. 16 episodes should be the max amount for an hour show.

I've only seen a handful, MAYBE, of Arrow episodes. I thought their crossover was good I guess.
