Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
There are so many incredible scenes in this episode, especially the entire battle sequence, but Bronn making his way through the battlefield inferno (from the grounds-eye view) is one of my favorite scenes the show has done.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
I agree, the show is so good, it's winning Grammys. Maybe some Tonys and Oscars too. Can't spell EGOT without GOT.
Honestly, the shows competing this year better hope they win some shit. No way GOT doesn't clean up next year. I'm just curious if they'll finally break the acting drought (minus Dinklage) with some deserving wins.
I really hope no more episodes are leaked. I waited to watch it live, but I'll be scared of spoilers.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
Great episode. Burrrnnn it down!!! Drogon better be OK though. I'd be fine with Jaime dying though. We haven't had a shocking death in awhile, there's no valonquar prophecy on the show and quite frankly he made his choice. Rather than surrendering he charges right at the dragon and that type of decision should be a life ender.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
I feel like Tyrion won't let him die like that. His allegiance has changed (for now), but he's still a Lannister and Jaime has been good to him.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
Some reddit comments I enjoyed Quote: sansa: arya... bran's home too. arya: (big smile) sansa: arya: (smile fades) sansa: he's weird as fuck now
Arya, he's going through a PHASE
IT'S NOT A PHASE, SANSA! THIS IS WHO I AM!!
BRAN ISNT EVEN MY REAL NAME ANYMORE ITS THREE-EYED RAVEN ITS LIKE YOU DONT EVEN CARE
Quote: Jon: Your Grace, there's something else you should see. Daenerys: What are these? Jon: Drawings, made by the Children of the Forest, thousands of years ago. And look, here's our enemy. Daenerys: Oh, this cartoon man with angry eyes? Jon: The Night King. Daenerys: And spikes on his head. Jon: Commander of the dead. Daenerys: All he's missing is the devil wings. Jon: If we don't fight him together, we don't stand a chance. Daenerys: Mhm. Jon: I need your dragons and your army, your grace. Daenerys: Right, right. So did you- Jon: You're the only person who can save us. Daenerys: So did you, like, draw this yourself? Jon: Your grace, I- Daenerys: It's just super convenient that there are these century-old drawings in this cave on my family's island of the evil guy you told me about last week. Jon: Together, your grace- Daenerys: Yeah I'm still gonna need you to bend the knee. Quote: Pans to drawing of the Children of the Forest Jon: They fought with the first men... Pans to drawing of the White Walkers Jon: To fight our common foe. But it turns out that we could not destroy them unless... Pans to crude, hastily-drawn artwork of a brooding man getting a blowjob from a hot blonde Jon: Oh man how wacky, what are the odds?

This episode had the series' highest rating yet with 10.17 million. I don't think leaks hurt much.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
They leaked the script for episode 5? I can't imagine a worse experience for a GOT fan than reading what happens before watching it. Especially if they're waiting for George to finish the books.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
Reminds me of Kevin Smith's story about a fan asking George at an event what happens if he dies before the books are finished, to which George replied "Fuck you!". A valid response, but an even more valid question. He's not the picture of health.

If George would start a kickstarter campaign to finish the book, the comment section would be fun to read with an endless delay.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
He obviously has a game plan the show producers know of as the stuff happening in the show still has GRRM written all over it, so I don't see why Winds of Winter has been gestating for so long.

He will eventually publish book 6, but book 7 will be finished by someone else or not at all, let alone the supposed book 8 that might happen.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
I'm not so sure, he's maybe like 100 pages or so out of finishing the book and with the success of the show he couldn't have a much more comfortable life without doing anything. He might have once had a passion for writing and his GOT story, but that seems to have completely sailed.
And S7, sure the back story is all GRRM, but in a way it feels different too. It's much more decisive, where in the past there was a lot more lingering. The hound has been noticeably absent since episode one though.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
I'm not giving him more excuses, but it makes alot more sense if George waits until after the series is over to put out the next book. I'm hoping he's not only almost done with Winds but a good chunk of Dream as well.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
He's definitely not done much on Dream as he's said so himself. We'll be lucky if he releases Winds next year. That's a 7 year gap since Dragons!! Then there will be another 5-7 year gap to Spring. Sadly - it's doubtful he'll finish it.
I'm glad the show will be able to to complete the story. Its been firing on all cylinders lately so its a joy to watch.
This last episode was stunning!!
Plenty of questions left - is Drogon OK or has he been poisoned?? How will The Hound and Co. feature in the story going forward? What ever happened to the Horn of Joramun and will it be used?

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
Episode was just setup! Lame! We could have at least gotten to see what was in the fucking scroll?
How the hell are they going to wrap up everything and set up season 8 in 2 episodes?

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
The scroll was signed by Sansa, so I'm guessing its the one she/Cersei sent to Robb back in season 1. Littlefinger is just starting shit for the sake of it. Chaos is a ladder after all.
