Wow, a bit harsh, don't you think? There's nothing wrong about turning to TV these days - why do you think so many high-profile actors are signing on to shows now? It's a very different and more respected medium than it once was.
Her last few films haven't done that well (although I enjoyed
The Return and
Suburban Girl and LOVED
Southland Tales), but she's always good or great in them (see
The Air I Breathe for a perfect example - mediocre film that is totally elevated by her performance). Anyone who has watched
"Buffy The Vampire Slayer" or even seen her performance in
Cruel Intentions can easily see that she has a great deal of talent. And she's still relevant. Being the star of one of the most influential and acclaimed television shows ever will ensure that for some time to come
