Re: 'The Amazing Race 13' Thread
Very excited, even with the amount of couples in various stages of testing their relationship teams.
Also TAR: Asia is on again, and just had an awesome challenge where teams had to find something in the jungle while being shot at with paintball guns by snipers in camouflage.

Re: 'The Amazing Race 13' Thread
Yay TAR
I actually liked last season's winners (and in fact, the top three were all good teams, something that rarely happens). So I hope that happens again.
Despite, as AgentX said, the number of couples this season who are on the show to determine if their relationship is going to work out. Which I always hate.

Re: 'The Amazing Race 13' Thread
I'm leery on the "couples-in-danger" thing. Sounds more like CBS adding unneeded interest for the show.
"Honey, I don't think this is working." "Fine, we'll go on The Amazing Race to see if it brings us together."
Couples should know by now that the new leading cause of broken relationships in the United States is The Amazing Race.

I have TAR, Desperate, and B&S all in a row tonight. AKA I have no life and love it.
I love it when my shows come back.

Sadly not on my CBS station. I forgot that CTV always comes through though.
C'mon robotic head turns in the credits...
I guess no one will match Teri and Ian.

I guess no one will match Teri and Ian. Hahaha it never fails. I've always found them so creepy yet they leave them in there season after season. Part of the opening credits' charm, though. [bomp]

Re: 'The Amazing Race 13' Thread
As is usually the case, a solid premiere. Looks like a good collection of teams so far.
Terence and Sarah (the guy who freaked about her talking to other people and the woman who complained the other team ignored her, respectively) have nabbed first prize in the "we're already annoying!" category, though.
I was sad to see the hippie beekeepers (Anita and Arthur?) already leave. They seemed really sweet.

Re: 'The Amazing Race 13' Thread
Now they even mark what line you have to get into at the airport? Would it be so awful to have these teams figures things out for themselves? Lots of annoying teams, Andrew and Dan probably top that list so far.

Re: 'The Amazing Race 13' Thread
lol, any time Stephanie talked about getting married or having children in the diary room confessional thingys, Anthony looked so miserable. That's a couple that's gonna last.

Re: 'The Amazing Race 13' Thread
Boring episode. Hate Terrence.
Stupid 'Clock Game' like roadblock. Write everything down and hope it's the right one. Maybe if they ever get out of Brazil it will get more interesting, and amazing.

Re: 'The Amazing Race 13' Thread
It's the season of stupid reality contestants. First Survivor, but compared to these guys the Survivor ones came out like geniuses.
Such a boring episode. I don't like even a single team.

Re: 'The Amazing Race 13' Thread
I actually thought the episode was rather good.
But, yeah, Terrence and Sarah need to GET OUT, especially him. So irritating.
Anthony and Stephanie were such non-entities in the editing, I was not surprised they got the boot.
My favorite team at this point is Toni and Dallas.

Re: 'The Amazing Race 13' Thread
Aw. Mark and Bill fell victim to the dreaded Failure to Read the Clue. They were nice guys, too bad.
Of the current teams, here's how I rank them in order of how much I like/enjoy them: 1. Toni and Dallas (they're really cute and functional and nice) 2. Marisa and Brooke (They're not geniuses, but they seem like sweethearts and their enjoyment on this leg was contagious) 3. Aja and Ty (they seem like generally nice people) 4. Ken and Tina (considering how much I hate their whole shtick, they're not that bad, although her pencil eyebrows are intensely creepy) 5. Kelly and Christy (they're kind of bitchy and it's moderately endearing) 6. Nick and Starr (I lost respect for them tonight, trying to get someone to U-Turn someone else is just playing dirty) 7. Andrew and Dan (obnoxious and annoying) 8. Terrence and Sarah (gahhhhh)
Toni and Dallas are the only team I actively like a lot, which is kind of ominous. I hope they make it far.
