Big Bang Theory - Season 2
The awesomely hilarious show begins its second season tonight @ 8/7 Central. I'll be recording it and watching after I watch Terminator and Prison Break.

Anyone know where I can find the first episode of season 2 for viewing online? CBS.com doesn't have it for some reason.

This show is highly underrated and doesn't get the attention it rightfully deserves around here.. I wonder how this show would do without the guy who plays Sheldon???

It's a hilarious show. Much better than the annoyingly precious How I Met Your Mother, a show I used to watch but now can't stand.

And for a show that's as popular as "How I Met Your Mother" around here, "The Big Bang Theory" beats it in the ratings every week, even if it isn't by much, but still.. No love for this show around here..

Re: Big Bang Theory - Season 2
So, how was the most recent episode in comparison to the rest of the series? I'm stuck in a motel in Washington so I figured if I was ever going to watch an episode then the Summer Glau one might as well be it.
I have to say, I really wasn't amused. Laughtrack shows already aren't for me in the first place (It's funny, YOU LAUGH NOW!!!!) and I found the whole thing to be far too sitcom-ish. The only character who I found amusing was Leonard while the other ones--especially Sheldon--seemed like the actors were trying way, way too hard to be nerdy.
It wasn't horrible or anything, just not funny.

Re: Big Bang Theory - Season 2
Big Bang Theory is filmed in front of a live studio audience, a friend of mine went to a taping last fall and later could hear his own laughter on the show.
I agree that it's not always funny though.

Last night's episode was pretty true to the series, maybe not as funny but it still has some great lines (when they were on the train talking to Penny on the phone).

I loved Penny and Sheldon getting time together finally and being able to be friendly and catty against everyone else for not singing their working song

Re: Big Bang Theory - Season 2
I just saw the entire first season on DVD... it took me a few shows to get past the girl that ruined the 8th season of Charmed, but I really liked the show in the end. Now I want to see season 2, but am too far behind to start watching it live, so I have to wait for DVD.

Re: Big Bang Theory - Season 2
BUMP.. This show is hands down 1 of CBS's best shows on right now.. This thread needed to be bumped cause this show doesn't get the appreciation it so rightfully deserves.. The fact that the ratings for this show are higher than "How I Met Your Mother" speaks volumes.. The only other show that's higher than both is the much overrated "Two an a Half Men".. Seeing Charlie Harper womanize in every episode grows very tiresome and boring after awhile.. The show really needs a cast makeover and more creativity..

How I Met Your Mother gets better ratings in the demo. That's what matters.
