Television's most addicting guilty pleasure starts up again in less than a month. I personally can't wait. After a rocky start this series quickly became one of the most entertaining shows on television, and was probably my favorite new series of the season along with Josh Schwartz's other show "Chuck" (in terms of quality though I'd say "Pushing Daisies" was the best). Leighton Meester is awesome on this show and really makes it worth watching. Anyways, the second season is going to consist of 24 episodes and begins September 1st at 8pm. The first few episodes are taking place in the summer and were filmed on location in The Hamptons a little while ago. The CW has started another ad campaign similar to the "OMFG" ads that ran when it returned after the strike. In addition to the ad seen above, there have been others such as this one:



They've also been airing various promos for the past few weeks promoting the show's return:









I can't wait!

Can't wait for the new season! This show is such a guilty pleasure and one of network TV's most addicting shows. The first season definitely didn't start out the best, but became awesome. The whole reason it all works so well is because of Leighton Meester, who is kickass on the show. It's probably my most anticipated returning fall show.

Yeah, it's better than The O.C. for sure. I'm really looking forward to the next season to start next week.

And in regards to the "Gossip Girl" vs. "The O.C." debate, it's a tough call for me. The latter is one of my favorite shows ever, but I'd say "Gossip Girl" is just as good as "The O.C." was in its first season and probably the most entertaining show on television at the moment.

Apparently this is the cover of the screener DVD for the first few episodes of season 2. It's horrid. I can't stop laughing how bad it is.

Anyway, EW gave the premiere (or however many episodes they watched) an A.

The premiere was fantastic! Such a great start to the season. And Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick have absolutely sensational chemistry - some of the best on television, which was really on display in full force here. I LOVED the scene between Blair and Chuck near the end. And I was really happy that Dan and Serena decided to work things out. Can't wait for next week!

Leighton and Ed have some of the best chemistry on tv. There parts of the premiere were excellent. The rest of it was good as well.

The scene after the lunch as well as the moment after the White Ball were two of the best moments ever in the show so far.

It premiered to good numbers and demo's all around. Almost matched it's series debut las year.

I watched the premiere and it was fantastic. If it keeps this up this will be one awesome season! I think this is the most addictive show on network TV.

Tonight's episode was AWESOME and better than the already fantastic premiere! This is going to be a great season. I loved the Dan-Serena scene on the bus and the scene between Blair and the Duchess in particular. Leighton Meester is so great on this show. I can't wait for next week!

I find it amusing how I hated Blair and Chuck at the beginning of the series and they seem to be the most intriguing part of the show now. Can't wait for next week... hehe.

very solid episode. Of course last season started out great too and ended with a whimper. So we shall see. I do like Dan and Serena though
