 Miss Guided
Is anyone going to try this new single-camera sitcom?
It stars Judy Greer (always playing the best friend, see 27 Dresses, 13 Going on 30, etc.) as a former high school nerd returning to the same high school years later to be a guidance counselor.
It premieres following Dancing With the Stars at 10:30 tonight on ABC. For some bizarre reason, the next several episodes have been scheduled from Thursdays 8-9 (two episodes in an hour).
But anyway. Anyone?

 Re: Miss Guided
Dunno, it looks pretty average to me. I might tune in for a couple minutes if I have nothing else to do.

Premiering a show at 10:30?

 Re: Miss Guided
It was...somewhat funny.
Judy Greer has always been really underrated, and she did a good job carrying the show. But none of the other actors really made much of an impression.

I thought it was awesome and I actually enjoyed it more than "Samantha Who." I laughed out loud several times and Judy Greer was just pitch-perfect.

 Re: Miss Guided
I caught the premiere tonight. I thought it was pretty good. I'm still undecided on the asides to the camera though. It worked pretty well in this episode and they were funny, but I'm not sure how much longer they could could go without those becoming annoying.
Not sure how long the series will last though. ABC is spitting them out rapid fire before their other shows come back. There are two more this Thursday, two more next Thursday and the final two on the Thursday after that. If the next episodes are just as good, I hope ABC will give it another run next year.

 Re: Miss Guided
I really want this to stick around. I was shocked at how much I loved it. Since "Notes From The Underbelly" got a second season pickup despite dismal ratings I have a feeling ABC will stick with this one as well.

I like this show (which likely means it will end up getting canceled).

I dont know why they are airing they way they are. Botched scheduale. I ended up catching the last 10 minutes last night, it wasn't bad.

I'm actually surprised by how good the show is. I hope it sticks, though the ratings are abysmal.

 Re: Miss Guided
Only watched the pilot and hated it. The constant talking to the camera was just annoying. There was very little funny in the show, either.

 Re: Miss Guided
I enjoyed the three episodes that've aired. Too bad it'll be cancelled soon enough.I've noticed ABC really puts out sitcoms I enjoy. I'll be sssooo sad if Notes from the Underbelly never returns.

 Re: Miss Guided
I just watched the first three episodes and enjoyed it a lot. It's very funny and I really hope ABC will pick it up, even though after the first episode ratings dropped quite a bit. Still, with a good lead-in this could do better. They should pair it up with SAMANTHA WHO.

 Re: Miss Guided
"When I was fifteen, I got my ears pierced and my nana called me a whore." I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH. The fourth episode was the best one yet. It was hilarious and very clever, and I loved all the references to the '80s teen movies. Judy Greer is GREAT! I'm watching the fifth now. Oh please please please please let this get a second season! Notes From The Underbelly got one and had bad reviews/lower ratings. This is doing alright and had solid reviews, so it should have a decent chance.

 Re: Miss Guided
Its a pretty good show but its missing something. The characters feel a little disconnected because of the way they tell the story. Theres no personal moments, everything feels very staged to service the plot.
