The New Adventures of Old Christine (Season 3)
So, yeah, CBS' Julia Louis-Dreyfus-led sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine (finally) returns for a third season this evening, at 9:30 pm ET.
Does anyone else here sort of love it? It used to have nothing going for it other than Louis-Dreyfus (who has already won a deserved Emmy), but it actually got really funny last season. The writing got a lot sharper, the supporting cast began to click better, and Louis-Dreyfus helped to make Christine one of the more endearing characters on TV.
Since nothing much else is on, y'all should watch if you've never seen it.

I've watched it here and there and I do love Wanda Sykes so I might tune in.

Im a fan. Its generally a really generic show but they write Christine well, and the cast are actually likable rather than hollow as with many new sitcoms.
Not the best show on tv, but worth watching.

Just got caught up on the whole first season and starting the second soon. Fantastic show. It is generic but Julia makes Christine so adorable and likeable. And it's quite well written.

This show is hilarious. I hope CBS renews it for a fourth season (or that it gets picked up by ABC).

They keep botching up the season schedule, I think it got like 10 episodes this season that just finished? Come on CBS.

I'm of the opinion that Julia Louis-Dreyfus should win another Emmy for this season. She is completely fantastic.

Just finished all of season 2, hilarious. The show isn't great, but its consistently very good. Julia makes this show. My favorite episode has to be My Big Fat Sober Wedding. I love drunk Christine.

Re: The New Adventures of Old Christine (Season 3)
I just started watching Season 1 today and was really enjoying it but now I’m sooooooo PISSED! I just watched the episode where she broke it off with Burton. What the hell was she thinking? She’s insane! He was so PERFECT and adorable! How could she let him go? What an idiot. It’s almost enough to make me not want to watch anymore.

Its Christine, she's too psychotic or as she says, "lonely" for him. She would have made a disaster later on in the relationship anyways.

You are right. She's definitely insane. I'm not sure she could be with anyone. He's too good for her, yet I love him and still want them to be together . Anyway, I watched the first season and have Disc 1 of the second from Netflix. I hope to get around to that on Saturday since I work tomorrow night.
