 'Raymond' Is Finished
 A truly great show.
Too bad, but I think it's the right time. Better for it to be one with while it's still a good show.
Now let's all give it the applause it deserves. =D>

I hate this show but I'm still watching the finale.
Yet again, I fail to see what's so humorous about it. The actors are good but I just don't find it funny.

I never found it funny, either. Ah, well, farewell Raymond!

One of the greatest comedies in this era. I think the reason is why so many people find this show funny is that somehow they can relate to this show in one aspect of another. I know for my family i got the mom like deborah and the grandparents like the grandparenst in the show

I guess I never really liked the show, but I thought that was a great way to end a finale.
Just show life continues like it always will.

Loved the finale. It was touching, funny, and a very nice last scene. Sure, they fight, argue, drive eachother insane, but in the end, they are just another family living together who will always, always love eachother, like so many families. Well ended.
I didn't ever watch the show regularly, but it had a lot of funny moments, and is one of the best comedies I can remember. There are a lot of terribly bad comedies out there, but Raymond is not one of them.
Congrats to the wonderful cast, crew and writers.
PEACE, Mike

Great, great, great finale. It wasn't over the top and it didn't say "Look! We're ending!!" like Friends did last year. It just showed life going on like it always has. I'm going to miss this show, that's for sure. And another thing I have to say: Peter Boyle better get a damn Emmy this year!!

Great finale! Nothing too over the top! I'll miss this show greatly, because now I have no comedy to watch.

Haven't watched the show in awhile but it was an OK or good show.
*************************************************************
On most show, it all depends if you are into the characters / situations.
- On the lead - Raymond - he was involved but also the show revolved around him - was Seinfeld the funniest guy on the show - no far from it.
*************************************************************
Anyway on the characters - best characters are bolded
- Ray - good as he was on a very good show
- Wife / Debra - the supposely the voice of reason - always points out what a jerk / idiot others are.
- Grandmother - one of the most in you face characters ever - think she has won lots of Emmies
- Grandfather - Peter Boyle - just crazy and off the wall
- Brother - Robert - always gets dissed by parents over the favorite son Raymond - as in everyone loves Raymond.
Also had another set of grandparents - Katherine Helmond ( Soap, Whose the Boss ) and Robert Culp
******************************************************************
One other fun characters was the brother of Roberts grandfather - forget their names
but the brother was played by
Pee Wee Herman - one episode
and then Chris Elliot - just to annoy the brothers.
*******************************************************************
In ending, it just was an situation comedy of everyday family life.
Either you got it or you didn't
*******************************************************************

Raymond is definitely the epitome of overrated. Glad to see it go, to be honest. I did usually find the parents to be funny, and yes, I could relate to them being my grandparents. Never what it could have been, but still a passable comedy that somehow became a smash hit.

It think the key is that it's not really meant to be a smash hit. This is not Dead Housewives or anything like that. It's easygoing and simply.
And, the last episode was wonderful.

Disagree as the above is a drama - you know drama or dramatic
Raymond was a comedy so it didn't go down that dramatic route but the comedy can't be considered easy-going.
Different genres you can't compare.

At it going away.
Ugh. Raymond is one the most annoying tv characters...EVER.
But I did watch it every once in a while for Patricia Heaton, Doris Roberts, and Brad Garret.
So I'll probably be watching the fnale tonight.

I liked it a lot. Especially the pre-thingy.
Raymond has never been one of my favorite shows (I used to think it was crap, before I started watching it pretty regularly, that is), but I've grown to like it after the past couple years, as it's on every night after Friends re-runs.
I guess I'm kinda sad to see it go, but then again, I never watched it in primetime anyway, so yanno...
Into syndication heaven it goes.

I rarely ever watch this show at its time.
I usually only catch some reruns.
I did watch the last episode last night though.
I must say I was very impressed. It was a great episode and a very nice way to end it.
Also, is it just me or was Patricia Heaton's 30 second breakdown astonishingly amazing acting? I think it was VERY noteworthy.

I saw part of it.
Missed like that last 5 minutes and the first 10...so I missed the Raymond dying thing I guess:(
But what I did see was actually really good. Even Raymond was kinda funny.

So, I decided to watch the finale. The one thing it did right was the finale. Sure, it bordered a bit on feeling way too "series finale", for a show that was supposedly going to just end, and not have any big finale, but it never crossed the line. Aside from the part where Ray almost died, the episode felt like any other episode: simple. I do give the show that, it always stuck by what it was supposed to be, nothing more and nothing less. And the ending wasn't over the top, either. For once, a show ends right, even if I didn't like it that much.
