Another decline for 24....hmmm. It was alot weaker in the ratings last season when American Idol wasnt pre-empting it, so i guess thats still quite good with 11.5 million viewers, beaten by Las Vegas on NBC with 12.4 million. Great marketing for both "24" and "Alias" this season has seen a ratings revival for both shows.

Although American Idol hits Alias' timeslot tomorrow.... and 24 will be getting that pre-empt again soon - but its contention hasnt been great in the past. Still, going head to head with the biggest behemoth in television is hardly a good thing for Alias, i hope it can hold up though.

21.7 Million for CSI: Miami is good stuff. Medium feloff somewhat from previous showings to 14.5 Million viewers,

Although that is a decline, I do not recall 24 hitting that mark, even with American Idol's lead-in last season. I think it finally has hit a good stride with audiences, which is good, because it deserves it. Even better, check out how well it built from Trading Spouses.

Mr X, if 24 has less post "Idol" than 11.5 Million viewers, i think its very lucky to have lasted any great length - for dropping over 60% of your pre-empt is not good.... But it finally looks to be establishing a base of its own. I always thought 24 had around 13 million viewers in its post "Idol" slot, even then thats nothing to brag about considering Idol has around 27m+ viewers an ep.

Its off-season from "American Idol" is ALOT better than last year though, when it pulled in very weak ratings in the 6/7 million range. Good promotional campaign and a witty double pairing of its first episodes have assured that. "24" like its infinately compared counterpart on ABC has always been a bit of a package deal i think, the shows have always performed in the vital ads demographics moreso than the viewership really should let them, and the dvds & merchandise subseqently sell like hotcakes to a dedicated fanbase = more profit than you can expect for some big budget films.

I saw Medium for the first time this monday and you know, I wanted to like it, I really did, but I thought it was disgusting and unlikeable and pretty crappy.
