Post The Big Bang Theory - Season 4
First sitcom that I'll be following live religiously each week. Love all the seasons so far after catching them on computer.

Pretty good first episode. Sheldon/Penny interaction is still the highlight of the show though.

Yes. Sheldon obviously makes the show what it is. And Penny offcourse is hot and plays off the guys brilliantly.

Cant wait for it as well.

The first episode was the bare minimum I've come to expect from this show. Lots of fun, but it didn't provide a single really great moment which I was hoping for. Still probably the best half hour I've seen this week (and I've seen every bar Two and a Half Men and The Office).

come on ... all about Sheldon is all these shows needs to be very good.

Anyway, I thought is was great....and who would have guessed what a great team Sheldon and Penny are.

Sheldon and Penny have been a great team ever since they went grocery shopping together and he suggested Manganese to colour her urine (I suppose the moment loses something when written).

I enjoyed the premiere, there was no knockout lines like there was last premiere, but I've already watched the episode again and it holds up well.

Good to have it back.

This show makes me laugh out loud more than anything else on TV. Sheldon's "date" with Amy (how perfect is Mayam Bialik, btw?) and Penny as the third wheel was hysterical.

Oh wow, had no idea that was MB. Nice touch considering they referenced her earlier in the series.

Honestly I thought the episode was the weakest episode of the whole series thus far. I really hope the season comes into as it goes on, as it is my favorite live action sitcom of all time.

Yeah, episode 2 was good too, but I was hoping they would kinda step it up more. A lot of rehashed jokes in this one. They were still funny, but... Though the car ride with robo-Sheldon is definitely the highlight of the season so far. Awesome stuff.

CTV in Canada is airing the show weeknights and I've been catching up here and there. I had caught it a few times before and wasn't impressed, but everytime I watch it now, I laugh/smile quite a few times per show. It is pretty great.

It's also on The Comedy Network at 9.30PM (repeated at Midnight at 5.30PM next day) and Midnight, Monday-Thursday. I try and catch it every time it's on.

As for the second episode of season 4, I was disappointed. Dogtopus had its moments, but a lot of the humour was predictable (Sheldon falling down the stairs, problem with flatulence...) I did laugh out loud at the Bazinga in the car, but that was about it.

Here's hoping for episode 3.

So far these three episodes make for a pretty underwhelming season of TBBT.

The show still makes me laugh, but I agree this season seems to be losing a little sparks. A lot of rehashed jokes, and there are some predictable patterns for the characters and their interactions. I enjoy seeing Bernadette again though. She brings something different to the table, unlike say Amy.

This episode was the best since the premiere for me, I liked that they utilized all the characters, and it wasn't Sheldon-centric.

The second and third seasons had slow starts as well, but eventually kicked into gear. As long as I don't see Kripke, and Blossom is used sparingly I'll be pleased.

Some of the funniest episodes are when it's mostly about Howard & Raj.

Yeah, glad to see the season seems to be getting into the swing of things - no coincidence that Amy wasn't in it and everyone else actually was.

Four episodes in and I'm still having for TBBT to kick into gear. Maybe it's just me but so far I'm not having nearly as much fun as with previous seasons.

Ummmmm, yeah... The last episode was very meh (one of the most boring episodes of TBBT which is a feat). I never liked Amy and the more she's on, her character is more annoying to me. I just don't think the whole female version of Sheldon turned out well. What Parsons does with Sheldon is lightyears ahead of what Bialik does with Amy. Hopefully they cut her soon and completely forget she ever existed.

Yeah, I've only felt the need to rewatch two of the five episodes this season. The premiere still gets rewatched every now and then, but last weeks won't. I really didn't like Leonard and his date and hopefully that goes nowhere. I do like seeing Bernadette back, and didn't realize Penny wasn't in the episode until someone mentioned it.

Well, not having Penny available certainly hurt. That extreme contrast in personality where they could play off each other is gone now; instead, the rest of the cast basically consists of different variation or degree of nerds, but they are still just nerds.

I'm looking forward to see how they will write her injury into the story.

I heard they were going to, but from this article, look like they will indeed not do that and just shoot her from waist up instead.
