I know the Olympics are providing tough competition, but there's no reason why CSI and Without A Trace should be in reruns during the sweeps.

I'm wondering if it has to do with the Olympics. TheFutonCritic isn't reporting late night numbers, so... that's not the same at all, but it's the best explanation I got.

Haha, I'm pretty sure they're doing that for the next three weeks, except The O.C. won't even be on so it won't benefit.

Yup, the three results shows will air on Thursdays.
And I think The O.C. will only get a chance to air after one of them, lol.

If they air the 23rd, 2nd, and 9th The O.C. will benefit from the last American Idol result show on Thursday. The O.C. returns March 9.
