Thanks for the reminder loyal, I completely forgot about it - It will be good to see and perhaps discuss vintage race. More on the classic race front: DVD's on September 27

I watched!
Nice seeing the show's beginnings (and even nicer that I don't know who won, so it's like a whole new season for me).
Victoria Falls was pretty awesome. I wanna go there.

Ah yes, the first season... where everyone was pretty much a virgin to this type of show. It's not quite a shouting match yet as the recent seasons have shown us.

I didn't remember the first season being that boring, I mean everything was just so slow. The music was definitely lacking and the graphics were laughable. Those opening credits are horrible when compared to more recent ones. While the flash is sub par, the racing is much better. Little bunching, actual clues (thunder/smoke), interesting team dynamics. Line of the night, Bill to Frank: "Congratulations guys, that is so amazing!", after Frank and Margarita entered some building 2nd. I think he said it in earnest, but it sounded so sarcastic, so hilarious.

Anyone else still watching?
I'm sticking through it, even though I accidentally found out who won. Urgh.
Every team is likeable, except Guido, who needs to go, and Lenny & Karyn, who never seem like they're having any fun.

Guido wasn't so bad before Gate-Gate, tonight's episode was really when they went from shrewd gameplayers to assholes. I'm a fan of Momily so when Guido implemented their plan I was displeased. Lenny and Karyn are so very annoying, each in their own way. Lenny for seeming aloof for most of the race not really caring what happens one way or another and Karyn for being shirll, nagging and "dis. ap. point. ed."
S2 is my favourite season of classic race, so I'm very glad that will be coming up shortly.

I don't remember Karyn being so annoying the first time I watched Season 1. I wonder if Lenny left her?

I've watched every episode again on GSN. I still love Team Guido, even if they are insane. I didn't remember the teams being so friendly to one another (clapping and hugging all the time). It's almost as if they really care about each other. But again, it's the first season, so everyone is bound to feel a certain kinship.
Whenever I see Lenny work on a challenge, I'm reminded of Of Mice and Men.

Season Two begins tonight, after a thrilling finale to TAR 1 last night. I guess Margarita wasn't so 'golden' after all. So much for home city advantage eh Frank? I'm glad Rob and Brennan took it, they were good racers. Loved the Guido conclusion, out in Alaska getting a slip of paper with the results. Fantastic episode.

It's so strange rewatching teams compete in New Zealand. Shotover Jet, Nevis Bungy, Lost World abseil, I've done it all. And not to win a million dollars.
Oh and Will has mental issues. He second guesses EVERYTHING.

I've never seen such an awful team before (yes, even worse Jonathan and Victoria).
Say what you want about Will's language or how he's bipolar in regards to gameplay, but Will didn't throw the race. Tara gave their 1 Million dollars to the Boston boys. They were 25 seconds away from the mill and she THREW THE RACE.
I don't believe in hitting women. However, he should have knocked her out.
Rewatching these old seasons is very exciting. And maddening.

I don't think she threw the final sprint at the end. She was clearly winded from their running in San Fransisco, to the point of needing her inhaler. Wil was the first to point out that they couldn't beat Chris and Alex in a foot race. Both of them knew they had to have a big lead to beat Team Boston in a race, they didn't and they lost.
It may have seemed like a short time on television, but I'm guessing in actuality that it was a far distance they had to traverse, as pointed out when Tara first sees how far they had to go, she said she was never going to make it, well before Chris and Alex came into view.
I still they think they should have been gone, when they lost the clue and had to tail Chris and Alex in the plane. You shouldn't be able to throw away clues and not get penalized.
Bring on TAR 3...and Flo.

Poo...
I missed the last couple episodes of season one and only caught a couple from season two.
I will commit myself to season three, though. Starts tonight, yes?

I disagree about Tara. She did say she didn't care about the money and complained over and over in the cab. Not to mention her "relationship" with the Boston boys.
She seemed to throw it.

You are right, Tara did say she didn't care about the money. Wil also said that he would have given the clue to Blake and Alex if they had lost theirs, I don't believe either of them.
Wil did he fair share of complaining as well, also mentioning numerous times during the course of this leg, and the entire race that they should just quit. So perhaps, he wasn't fully prepared to win either, after all Chris and Alex passed him as well. It's not like he stopped after Tara shouted that she was passed. Do I believe that Wil didn't try his best? No. I think both Wil and Tara tried their fullest during that final run to the finish.
I don't believe Tara would intentionally give up a chance to win 1,000,000 dollars to spite Wil or to help a team that she liked more than her partner.
I guess I just hate Wil more than Tara.

Yeah, tonight at 9pm EST. I'm looking forward to TAR3 as it's the one I remember the least. I couldn't tell you the order of elimination for the first few legs. I only know the final 2 from this series.

Well, two things.
Those roommates, not cute.
Watching the one with downs syndrome get slingshot out the donkey cart, very funny.

I'm glad I don't remember a lot about this season. Aaron and Arianne? Michael and Kathy? Completely Forgot about them.
Yeah, Heather and Eve were really annoying this episode. Bet that one didn't think they would get more injured riding the donkey's than Skydiving, did she say she didn't like being up in the air? I hope they are gone soon.
Also Tramel bothered me this episode, what with his being better than Jesus attitude and being a bad racer along the way.
Why did Teri and Ian just go to Aero Mexico? Something about directness? They unnecessarily got on the later flight.
Didn't care too much about the elimination, but I don't think I've ever really cared about the first one, we just don't know the teams well enough.

Heather and Eve....Reading is fundamental, morons. WALK! But I shouldn't be too upset, I really didn't like them. But I also don't like Aaron and Arianne so I wouldn't have been sad to see them go either.
I really want every team involved in that ridiculous TwinHunt to just go away. Why waste energy on other people, especially those who seem like nice people, idiots - the lot of them. Especially Flo.

Just watched last night's episode. The one-after-another at the gas station, followed by the 'that's it, we're done' by every team involved was great. (Not Aaron's whining, though.) Too bad about Michael & Kathy. I actually ended up really liking them.
Teri & Ian need to go, though. Every old couple ends up being obnoxious at some point or another during the race, but they've taken it to a whole new level.
Not a fan of Aaron & Arienne either. Whiners. And it seems like Andre & Damon are just skidding by every round without much strategy.
And Flo on the cliff? Hilarious.

I couldn't make up my mind on what was funnier. Aaron crying by the side of the road, or Flo's meltdown on the cliff.
I don't think Don and Mary Jean were obnoxious, neither were Dave and Margaretta. It's just Teri and Ian's uber-obnoxiousness clouding your mind <g>
