30 Rock was good not great last night [although Aniston was excellent]. Last week's episode is still the highlight of the season.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
watched the office, frame Toby...seriously were there any jokes in this.....didn't find one scene funny ....and all the scenes with Michael were so lame and unfunny and basically stupid.
also, forgetting that Michael should have known, how did Dwight not know Toby was back for a week....
and no mention of Toby loving Pam....
and surprised no mention of the end that Pam didn't really like the house.
and Ryan.....is he going?
etc, etc, etc.
guess we need more Dwight and Andy for starters...

Last Office was by far my fav of the season so far. Jim and Pam's conflict resolution and Michael's consistent ability to be a terrible manager. The security guard too lol!!

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
The last episode was REALLY good. Maybe the best this season. I had a smile on my face the whole time and actually laughed at certain points, something I rarely do when watching the Office nowadays. They need to resolve this Dwight/Angelina thing. They have dragged it on for wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too long. Angela has really lost some of the luster that made her a gem of a character back in the day. I don't like how the 3 main storylines (Jam, Dwight/Angela, and Michael) have sort of taken over the show. Before, those storylines used to feed into the week to week happenings. Now, they define them. Well, this past episode was an exception.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
I think Dwight doing what he did pushed Angela finally back to Andy for good.
Hopefully it will end that drama. But the Jim/Pam storyline could have run stale quickly, but they are keeping it fresh, it's nice.
I love Oscar and want more of Creed.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
Great Christmas episode for 30 Rock, one of their funniest episodes ever.
The Office Christmas episode was a contender for worst episode of the series, just boring and stupid. And as a side note, not just about this episode, I don't like how they have changed Pam. She's like a completely different character now, not one I like very much.

"30 Rock" has been on a roll lately after the somewhat mediocre Steve Martin ep. I absolutely LOVED the reunion episode in particular.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
30 Rock was freakin awesome. One of its best episodes. And Alec Baldwin was fantastic.
The Office wasn't that bad. Actually the first half was really funny. Phyllis is one of my favorite characters, so her acting like a biotch to Angela was hysterical. Then the whole intervention thing was kinda lame but Meredith was pretty funny this episode. I wonder what's going to happen with Angela and Andy. Do you guys think Phyllis or Angela came off as a bitch at the end? I couldn't tell who the other characters were supposed to be shocked at.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
I thought everyone came across badly other than Michael and Andy. It was a tossup between Phyllis and Angela, I didn't see either one as being nicer. By the way if you go to nbc.com there are some deleted scenes which are (in my opinion) better than what aired.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
sounds funny Quote: MULTITALENTED COMEDY ACTOR JACK BLACK TO GUEST-STAR IN NBC’S SPECIAL POST SUPERBOWL EPISODE OF EMMY-WINNING “THE OFFICE†EPISODE OF EMMY-WINNING “THE OFFICEâ€Â
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – December 15, 2008 – Multitalented actor Jack Black ("Kung Fu Panda," "Tropic Thunder,") is set to guest-star in the upcoming post Super Bowl episode of "The Office." The announcement was made by Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios.
In one plot of the special post Super Bowl episode of "The Office," some of the office workers try to secretly watch a bootlegged Hollywood movie during the workday. The movie stars Jack Black and other notable Hollywood actors.
The special hour-long episode titled "Stress Relief" will premiere immediately following "Super Bowl XLIII," Sunday, February 1 (10:30-11:30 p.m. ET; simultaneously to all time zones) on NBC. Season five of the Emmy-Award winning series will continue airing in its regular time slot; Thursdays (9-9:30 p.m. ET/PT) on NBC.
"The Office" is executive-produced by Ben Silverman, Greg Daniels, who developed the series for American audiences, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein and Paul Lieberstein and Jennifer Celotta and produced by Reveille LLC, Deedle Dee Productions and Universal Media Studios.
This year has been very busy for Jack Black, starting with lending his voice to the lead animated character of "Po" in Paramount Pictures' Kung Fu Panda. The film has earned more than $626 million worldwide, making it DreamWorks Animation's most successful non-sequel film to date. So it comes as no surprise that DreamWorks has signed Black for the sequel scheduled to release in summer of 2011.
Black was back on top of the box office charts in August for the Paramount release of "Tropic Thunder." Directed and written by Ben Stiller, who also starred in the film, Black was joined by the star-studded cast of Robert Downey Jr., Tom Cruise and Matthew McConaughey. The film was #1 in the box office for two straight weeks and has earned over $100 million domestically.
Black recently wrapped filming his next feature film, "The Year One," starring opposite of Michael Cera ("Juno"). Produced by Judd Apatow ("Pineapple Express") and directed by Harold Ramis ("Knocked Up"), Black plays "Zed" a lazy hunter-gatherer who is banished from his primitive village and set off on an epic journey through the ancient world. This adventure comedy is set to release in June of 2009.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
Cloris Leachman and Jessica Alba will also be in the episode - I would guess in that movie they download but who knows. I don't like Leachman, if I had a top ten list of all time most repulsive tv personalities she'd be on it.
The whole thing seems like a strange choice, not just with the stunt casting but why put the office in that slot anyway? It's already a hit. They'd be smarter to put Chuck or 30 Rock or even Kath and Kim which I don't like but it would make more sense. It's a rare chance to really get people to sample a show.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
Finally watched the Christmas episode of "The Office." I thought the first half was hysterical, then it started going downhill with the intervention - and picked back up again with Michael taking Meredith to rehab and then Phyllis revealing Angela's secret at the end. Overall, very solid episode - this show is still not in the same league as "30 Rock" but this season is so much better than the mediocre fourth season.

30 Rock was in fine form last night, from Jack:
"It's 7 o'clock, why is my mother not yelling 'Go Home' at the Asian contestant on Jeopardy?"

Last night was hilarious. Jenna was great as Janis Joplin, and Kenneth's line about living under the bridge had me in tears

Yeah, last night was awesome 30 Rock. Jenna was hilarious. As weird as it may sound, I think she is kinda underused on the show.
The Rural Juror from season 1 was easily one of the funniest bits/arcs I have seen on TV this decade.

Great episode. My personal favourite lines:
Tracy: "And my remake of An Affair to Remember - A Blaffair to Rememblack" (or something to that effect)
Liz Lemon: "Could you transfer me to the Italian ambassador? I like-a to make-a da prank phone call"

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
From Yahoo.... 30 Rock and The Office Get Early Pickups
It doesn't take a rocket scientist or Dwight Schrute to figure out which two NBC comedies must stick around for at least another season: The Office and 30 Rock.
And so, in a move that's surprising to no one but still totally awesome, NBC has made an early announcement (four months before usual) to renew The Office and 30 Rock for the 2009-2010 season.
