I think next week will be the first non-elimination round, which bodes well for Meredith & Gretchen. I hate Ray and Deana to no limit. First, he's extremely degrading to Deana, but he's also rude and obnoxious. Deana isn't really mean, but I don't like her constant whining. I still strongly dislike Rob...he's just too, I dunno...Bostony or something. He really irks me. Amber's okay, though. Also, Uchenna & Joyce picked the boat, but ended up doing the island. Isn't that a penalty?

I guess not, the driver apparently steered them towards the other one, so it probably didn't matter as long as you got a clue.

I loved it when Rob and Amber were able to catch up and make that plane, not for any great love of that team but just because I knew it would enrage the other teams. I hate how they dwell on the fact that Rob and Amber are in the race and doing well. The first thought out of Lynn and Alex's mouths tonight were something about beating Rob and Amber. I'm glad their boat malfunctioned and they ended up finishing 5th. I really don't like them.

Almost as much as I don't like Ray and Deana, who really annoyed me with their gotta beat the old people spiel. I liked how Ray was all indignant about being at the bottom of pack because 'thats not where they belong' well their placement would tend to prove otherwise. Also loved his words of encouragement to Deana with the horse, that team is just full of disfunction.

Ron and Kelly didn't bother me that much tonight, he kept his military talk to a minimum and she seemed to do the tasks with efficiency, so there wasn't much for me to hate. Kind of sad to see Patrick and Susan leave as they had their moments of funny bickering.

Love
1. Rob and Amber (And I didn't like you all that much on ASS)
2. Uchenna and Joyce

Like
3. Brian and Greg (inching closer to the top bracket)
4. Meredith and Gretchen (Mostly for Meredith, but Gretchen didn't bug tonight)
5. Ron and Kelly (Why are they on the race as a couple? They don't seem to act that way)

Hate
6. Ray and Deana
7. Lynn and Alex

My order from favourite to least favourite:

1. Rob & Amber
2. Meredith & Gretchen
3. Brian & Greg
4. Uchenna & Joyce
5. Ron & Kelly
6. Ray & Deana
7. Lynn & Alex

Rob & Amber, in my opinion, are easily one of the coolest teams ever. They are always on top of their game and completely supportive of eachother, and they remain calm and cool. They're awesome.

Meredith & Gretchen are close behind, because I love rooting for the older folks, and because I think they are hilarious. A funny, healthy couple. Best of luck to them!

Brian and Greg are strong and together as a team. They're just likeable.

Everyone else is just sort of "meh" for me, and I have already expressed that Lynn and Alex utterly annoy me to no limits.

Next week looks intense based on the preview. A fall, blood, car crash...yikes.

PEACE, Mike ;)

Okay, I think I remember some other teams trying one, then deciding to do the other.

They're really weird that way, it's almost as if they met an hour before the race started or something. It doesn't seem like they even know each other, as Miss Alli has said.

I read somewhere that initially he was with another partner, but the CBS people didn't like her so he had to get another, and thus the blissful merger of Ron and Kelly.

From what I've read he was her escort to some beauty pageant (I think it was the year after she won) and that's where this beautiful relationship coalesced. There doesn't seem to be much of a relationship at all. It's only mildly better than the endless couples that are found by scouts, and who didn't really apply to the race in the first place.

I watched this show for the first time ever tonight... A good show, but the constant switching of the camera angles every 2 seconds made me sick after a bit. Is it always like that?

Well, yes. It's a fast-paced show. Actually, if the camera angles were all slow then it would be boring to watch. It's not something like Survivor when people are always sitting. You're moving, moving, moving always on The Amazing Race.

Eh, I must just be getting old. You kids and your fast shifting camera angles these days. Back in my day we didn't even have cameras. We had a little thing called an imagination and we had to walk 23 miles in the snow just to use it... :old:

Heh, the fast camera angles are also trademark Jerry Bruckheimer, who is executive producer of the show.

I'm happy they went home. They sucked and had no skills.

What can you say about Rob and Amber, they took a 4 HOUR penalty and ended up in 1ST PLACE. That's great. Strongest TAR team ever!!!

Excuse my vulgar language but those two queens need to go home. They bother me unlike any other team in history. They deserve to lose.

Joyce is a better person than I, when my horse went nuts in New Zealand, I said enough of this shit and went bungy jumping instead.

I thought Patrick was a whiny brat, but I liked Susan. Too bad her son is so rude to her.

Yes, Lynn and Alex bite the big one (no, not a double entendre, heh) as much as Romber rock.

I love Joyce! The fact that she didn't complain at all after twice being thrown from a horse was awesome.

I was a bit iffy on hating Lynn and Alex on here, but they REALLY need to shut the hell up about Rob and Amber. If Lynn and Alex are so damn good, they wouldn't even need to worry about Rob and Amber, but guess what? They're in 5th this time. Isn't that 3 out of 4 legs that Lynn and Alex were behind Rob and Amber? Seems to me if they were all that, they'd be first, ahead of Rob and Amber.

Rob and Amber rock more that anybody on reality TV (IMO, of course). They're fun to watch, they're competitive (but not TERRIBLY arrogant either... okay, Rob can be, but it's not so blatantly obvious like Lynn and Alex were, before Rob and Amber boarded the plane), they're funny, and like Mike said, they look very much happy and in love. I haven't seen them fight at all. Glad to see them take a 4 hour penalty, and STILL get 1st place in the end.

Uchenna and Joyce are pretty likeable. Meredith and Gretchen are fun to watch, because look at 'em! Based on their personalities, you would expect them to be gone already. They're true underdogs. Brian and Greg... meh, they're okay. Nothing that stands out as good or bad. Ray and Deana... they're okay, too. I'm sick of his "suggestions" all the time. If he thought he could do it, why didn't he? Ron and Kelly... like everyone said, Ron just needs to stop comparing EVERYTHING to being a prisoner in Iraq, being in Iraq, or just being in the military. I can compare a lot to being a student in school. I DON'T... so, why must he feel the need to compare everything to being in the military? We get it. Good riddance to Susan (she was okay, but mainly because she didn't say much, her son was more vocal all the time, and was annoying) and Patrick. Clearly, it was not the one day that they sucked, they were pretty much behind the whole time.

Teams, in order of Preference:
1. Rob and Amber (obviously)
2. Uchenna and Joyce
3. Meredith and Gretchen
4. Brian and Greg
5. Ron and Kelly
6. Ray and Deana
7. Lynn and Alex

I know some of you guys saw me and AgentX discussing TWoP (Television Without Pity). Well, I finally registered there and posted in The Amazing Race forum under the name Libs107.

Check this out:

http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com ... 59&st=2295

If you look, you can see me ask Hera (of Gus & Hera from last season) a question in a thread for that type of thing. Guess what, she actually *answered me*. How cool is that?

Mary Jean (of Don & Mary Jean, also of last season) also posts quite a lot there. I saw that Chip (yes, of Season 5 winners Chip & Kim) post the other day, and I believe I also saw a post from Aaron (of Harpy & Aaron, yet again of last season). Past racers such as Team Guido often answer questions.

I just find that so cool.

Blah my two favorite teams got eliminated back to back. That leaves Unchenna & Joyce as the only team I'm REALLY rooting for.

YAY Rob you're not the most annoying contestant anymore. That title goes to Ron.

Just goes to show you men with 3-lettered names beginning in R-o are the most ANNOYING peeople int he world. Damn bastards.

What was wrong with Debbie and Bianca? They argued with each other, but...really who wouldn't? I actually respect those who do more than the ones who don't (though some do take it wayyyy too far). If you're gonna be a contestant on a tv show like this you WILL get frustrated at times. I think it's healthier to let it out every once in a while...than not.

More importantly, WHo is ALEXANDRA?

I thought Debbie and Bianca (particularly Debbie) were yappy bitches. Especially in the first episode.

They were. I wanted to punch the one, but I forget which is was. "Oh, my mother is Spanish and I'm like fluent. We're gonna kick everyone's asses...yadayadayada...oh I can't do this, its too hard. I'm fluent in Spanish and we're in Argentia, why aren't we doing better?"

ok this week again supports my theory that cbr has rigged the game. Rob and Amber just happend to find the ranch and then the plane just happened to be held just for them. Please this is getting stupid.

I wouldn't say "it's" getting stupid as much as people are getting themselves too worked up.

It's. Not. Rigged.
