Yay! Good episode.

Calista Flockhart was outstanding in this episode. She looked beautiful, as well.

I love that Rebecca has become really close to Sarah and Kitty in the past couple of episodes.

Nora and Danny Glover? .....Hmm.

As I said above, I'm glad that Ken Olin showing up probably means they're giving Holly her own storyline that's not connected to dropping in randomly to comment on the whereabouts of the Walkers. It's about time.

Lena and Tommy still suck.

Is there no new episode until January, probably? Gah.

Umm, I just had a thought. Does anyone else think it's possible that Ken Olin/David is supposed to be Rebecca's father and they're going to un-sister her? That would...shake things up, to say the least. It would also probably lead to a weird Justin-Rebecca romance, which I don't even want to think about if Rebecca really is a Walker.

Ya. I always liked Holly, even when she causes shit she was still sensible. It's nice to see her have her own storyline.

Rob Lowe seriously needs to lay of the self tanner, he looks like a carrot.

Good episode all and all, nice to see Rebecca getting along with Sarah and Kitty, for once.

I thought he looked normal and non-orange in this episode compared to some of the previous ones.

oh yeah... if they break up Kevin and Scotty AGAIN, I will bust a snap. That storyline finally started having some legitimacy. They better not screw it up.

At least Holly knew how to keep her man.

And why is tommy so weird about Lena?? Is he in love with her? Was that ever established??

Thought it was a great episode.

I'm guessing that this scandal thing is going to undo McCallister's campaign. Or something, eventually. Just can't see them really turning one of their principal characters into the President of the United States. And Calista as first lady.

This was a Calista Emmy episode, by the way.

Uh oh, guys...

http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry ... /800030094

Quote:

Jon Robin Baitz has left the show he created, Brothers & Sisters, after repeatedly bumping up against differently thinking ABC decision-makers. "These little rumors floated about for months," Baitz says in a blog at TheHuffingtonPost.com, making reference to a "cutesy blindish item" posted to TVGuide.com's own Ausiello Report.

What brought about this breakup between successful show and its sire? As shared in a separate posting, Baitz — who last season blogged for TVGuide.com — cites pressure to steer B&S away from older-skewing characters and dramatic stories and toward the younger set and soapier tales. Now, the always-candid writer says, "I can... only watch as the demographic demands that have turned America into an ageist and youth-obsessed nation drives the storylines younger and younger, whiter and whiter, and with less and less reflection of the real America. I will never again have to do a notes call wherein the fear and seasickness of the creative execs always prevail over taking a risk, resulting more often than not in muddy and flattening or treacly sweet compromises..."

He's still going to be working on the show as both an executive producer and a writer, so I'm not too worried.

Good episode last night.

I found it almost refreshing that they didn't go about revealing the Lena/Tommy/Julia thing as melodramatically as they could have. I mean, in a more generic soap, Julia would've been an innocent victim, etc.

That wasn't the last new one, was it?

No, there are two left, but they are being held off until February.

I thought the episode was great.

Meh, I still thought it was a bit soapy. Julia just so happened to also be cheating, so they're even - an easy out for that story line. And how it all came out at the dinner table. And the whole Justin still sleeping with Lena thing...

It had some good moments (I still like the presidential stuff), but I thought it was just an OK episode overall.

It just made me realize I miss the show.

I thought it was great. I don't know why we might expect more than what we got... I mean, B&S is becoming infamous for its dinner table and big family reveal scenes so I was fine with it. REALLY glad they didn't make Julia the innocent one. It would be interesting to have Julia actually be in a love affair with the guy she slept with and make it harder to patch up the marriage .

I love Rachel Griffiths.

i just watched it. very good episode despite being Tommy/Julia centric. this is probably the first time since the series started that they aren't a waste a space.

I gotta say I really like the Scotty/Kevin relationship. The scene where they are having dinner Jason was kinda cute.

I don't like the creepy guy/Sarah relationship very much.

I liked the fact that Rebecca finally yelled at somebody. Justin is still very boring.

Oh, and the scene at the end looked like Rebecca and Justin were going to kiss. what an awkward scene.

I'm extremely nervous that the introduction of Ken Olin a few episodes back is going to lead to some "Is Rebecca really a Walker?!" storyline and an extremely icky, awkward storyline between Justin and Rebecca. I really, really hope I'm wrong.

Yay! Good episode tonight.

Tommy and his zzzzzzzzzzzz storylines never appeared to drag down the show.

Tonight's episode was pretty fun and funny. One of the best in awhile. But Sarah's singing was so obviously fake that it was painful to witness. It would have been better if they really had her do the singing. It would have seemed more real. It wouldn't matter if she weren't perfect. Lauren Graham did singing on Gilmore Girls and while she didn't sound like a professional she was still great because she was supposed to sound like a regular person singing. Kevin did his singing.

I love Sarah though. She was great on tonight's episode.

Matthew Rhys is a really cute sour puss.

Great lip-syncing from Rachel Griffiths.

I thought it was an average episode. I want another family dinner.

wow, at Keith Mars.

I just watched the last 2 episodes back to back. I just love this show. It seriously puts a smile on my face for a full hour.

I LOVE Rachel Griffiths. She has made her way to my all time favorites list.

And I can't believe how progressive this show has been in normalizing a character. I mean wow. I just hope it's not overkill with Sal's storyline. If they were gonna do another, they should have done a lesbian to even it out. Then again, almost all the writers are men... lol

I do like Ken Olin on the show (though apparently, that was the end of his arc) but I really don't want him to end up being the Rebecca's father. And WHAT was up with that scene at the end with Rebecca and looking at her mom's pictures on the computer? Did she find something??

One of the few things that I really dislike about the show though is how unrealistic a character/person Robert McCallister is. I mean, come on. No do-gooder of that level ever makes it that far in politics. And I'm sorry, if you have an openly gay brother, you DO NOT have any shot of securing the Republican nomination. Sorry, it's just not how it works.

How many of you think he'll actually win the election if nominated? I think there is zero chance of that happening, but I'm wondering if I'm in a minority with that opinion. Would they actually make him President? I think that would so uninteresting not to mention, it would propel the show in a different direction. I'm guessing they might want to take advantage of the actual election and sort of parallel the storyline to work into November sweeps with Robert losing the election.

Also, they are starting to have so many solo sub-plots that we're not seeing all the characters in every episode. :(

There's no way he'll win. That'd affect Kitty's plotlines for the rest of the show's run. Plus, I think seeing how he'd go in life after losing would be a really interesting storyline compared to a White House one.

When that character happens to be Tommy, I don't think we should be sad.

The best episodes feature large amounts of screen time for Nora, Kitty, Sarah, Kevin, Rebecca, Holly, and Saul, I've noticed.

It was last week's show in which I noticed it. Kitty was BARELY in it. She probably had less than 5 minutes I think.

Best episodes for me revolve around Sarah/Kevin/Kitty banter as well as a juicy Holly subplot.
