As for season 4 being split in half, we should be so lucky. Thanks to the strike, it might not even get finished at all.

Way late...but just continued to watch season 3. Before hiatus, have seen first 8 episodes (Hero the last). And while that *escape* from New Caprica was something, rest was pretty much trash. Still better than next episodes though. Seen next four, 9-12, and if BSG writters are part of that WGA strike, you just can't support it. Well, 24 S6, Lost S2 and S3, Jericho, Heroes, they all help there too. ;)

Utterly dissapointed with season 3. Some things and finale teased well for season 4, but overwhelming number of episodes were just bad.

It's frustrating that these series tease the frak out of you in first season with its greatness, and then turn to shit.

Unfinished Business (episode 8) was one of the highlights of the show (yes, human relationships are important, to bring a little warmth to all the bleakness and to point out what is at stake should humanity lose). So no, while season 3 had a few episodes which were weaker (The Woman King comes to mind), it was still some of the best TV had to offer.

That was FANTASTIC and totally wet my whistle for Season 4 in March.. I totally, TOTALLY dug the old Cylon models and are far superior looking than the Hybrid model of Cylon.. I thought the story through Kendra Shaw's eyes as the XO Of the Pegasus was gripping and not once did this movie cause me to lose focus and be bored.. Now I hear this is coming out on DVD like next week, perhaps in an "Extended Cut".. Any truth to this??

when the show turned into a soap opera about who was screwing who, no it was not the best tv had to offer

A grossly exaggeration. It wasn't really that much soap. In fact, i can only remember 2 episodes with a high portion of soap, Unfinished Business (good) and Taking a Break From All Your Worries (not so good).

the simple fact was that almost the whole second half of the season were stand alone episodes that did not push the story forward. and i think it's pretty obvious most of the general public agreed considering the collapse in the ratings

The ratings were steadily declining from the first episode on. And again you're exaggerating, 4 out of 10 episodes from the 2nd half could be classified as not moving the story forward.

Was S3 the season they moved BSG to Sunday nights and away from the SG1, SGA, BSG Friday line up?

Yes. If i recall correctly they moved it to sunday starting with the 2nd half of season 3.

My honest believe is that the show never trully had a chance. The majority simply ignores it since it's on sci-fi channel and for geeks it's too bleak and serious, they prefer tongue-in-cheek shallow stuff like Stargate, stuff that got sci-fi its bad reputation.

yes the show that set the scifi record with like a 3.5 in the miniseries, and then fell to a 1.3 by season 3 was just a misunderstanding by the audience and not due to the quality going to shit. Seasons 1 and 2 are probably the best seasons of any scifi show. but the downward trend in the ratings reflect that the fans thought the show just started to go to shit.

One, just one, there are many, of my big gripes about this season is the fact that they introduced "gods will", not really sure how to call it. I mean, all those coincidences that now don't have to be explained. As they themselves mentioned, about the temple and timing they all got there, about Chief sensing where the temple is, about being right there when nova hit - and they just figured out about nova when cylons arrived? Come on, you were two weeks there already. About 6 damn cylons being on Galactica before the attack? What are the chances? Well, they are chosen. Meh.

The miniseries ended with 3.8, season 1 started with 2.6. I guess a lot didn't like the miniseries either. The audience argument is weak, i could give you countless examples of good movies or shows that didn't do well, the majority is stupid, or let's say, doesn't share my taste.

Razor is interesting to see just for two things, old cylons, and the "Kara Thrace will lead the mankind to its end" thing. That was quite interesting - no theories here? Nothing else though. We see how quickly Cain becomes psycho, see some tries by the writters to put a positive spin on all the ordeal of Pegasus crew, see Lee, cino, being an idiot pretty much whole movie. I mean, why the hell would you have Shaw as a xo in the first place? Surely you knew what she has done?

Patton wanted to used old Nazi officers after World War 2 to combat Communism. Some people can block things out, and thats how ill assume Lee Adama was working here.

An 8 minute recap of the show S1-3, parts were amusing.

BUMP THIS BABY UP!!! It's almost here.. Sci-Fi Channel's BEST Show is coming back next friday for it's Final season and how can any Sci-Fi fan not be excited about this??? So who's going to be the Final Cylon?? It'd be great if it were Dirk Benedict who played the original Starbuck in the TV Series, sort of a wink-wink like they did casting Richard Hatch(the original Apollo) who's awesome..

Post Re: HOLY FRAK!!! GALACTICA SEASON 4 FOR APRIL 4TH, 2008
I'd love to see Dirk Benedict come back to the show, but I think I know who the final cylon is.

Image

Why do I think this?

Spoiler: show
As others mentioned, Leoben in the first season said "Adama is a Cylon" to Roslin. Dualla is an Adama.

A spoiler for Season 4 is that all the Cylons (including the final one) are in the Rag Tag Fleet.

Ron Moore said in a recent interview that Starbuck, Adama, Lee, Roslin and Baltar are NOT cylons.

Helo can't be a cylon. Cally can't be a cylon. So basically this leaves Dualla, Gaeta, or someone like Zarek.
