Re: The "Lost" Thread: Season 5
I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON ^ I missed you so much, Lost. It's the scary lady who didn't want Desmond to get Penny a ring or whatever! WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN AHHHHHHHHH! Is she Daniel Farrady's mom?! ANA-LUCIA was in a dream! And she said Libby said hi! That made me laugh. Who the hell were holding Sawyer and Juliet hostage? Dharma?! Why is Sun so shifty now? Is she a villain? SO MANY QUESTIONS. What the god damn fuck. I realize I sound crazy now. But I love Lost.

The flaming arrows will go down in history as the moment when this show jumped the shark. What the fuck, indeed.
I have no idea what went on. But I enjoyed myself.

Re: The "Lost" Thread: Season 5
I enjoyed it. The time shifting could get confusing though, although that is the problem when ever you put time travel in a show. The old woman is a key character, I am not sure if she is good or bad. I personally think she is using Ben for her own ends and he is using her, right now I think Ben and Widmore are both evil.

uhhh did you forget the magic glowing wheel in an ice cavern that moves the island I missed the first hour and didn't even realize it until I saw the "Part 1 Part 2" bits in the credits. Rest was decent. Maybe a bit too much Hurley.

Re: The "Lost" Thread: Season 5
The old woman is clearly Farraday's mother, not sure how it all will play out. Locke will certainly be coming back alive, though likely not in pure physical form as one would expect.
Good episode, best show, yadda yadda.

uhhh did you forget the magic glowing wheel in an ice cavern that moves the island Yeah..... God how I hated the finale last season. And god how I hate Hurley. Why can't they kill him off already.

Re: The "Lost" Thread: Season 5
What a trip that was.
Everyone I was watching it with were like "It's hard to think about what I want to think about."
The time travel route that they took opens up ALOTTT of technical questions, so they better have thought it all the way through.
I seemed to have been the only person in the world not too giddy about the new season starting. And maybe for that reason, I wasn't disappointed. I didn't quite love it either. I mean if they seriously take the entire season to get back to the island (which we know it will), then I dunno...
At this point, you know they've planned out everything left in the series so it's just a matter of how well they execute and if viewers are satisfied with it. I have alot of high hopes for season 6. I feel like alot of this season is gonna be build up and laying the final stones before the end game.
Faraday's role is considerably beefed up and I think it's because fans like him alot. I'm also still waiting for some big revelations on Charlotte's part about why she's there. Didn't she say something last season like "What if I told you I was looking for where I was born"??
the OCeanic 6 people are effin boring as hell. Hurley is my least favorite character now. I don't like how he has gone from comedic relief to the all good conscience of the group. I also don't think he acts that well beyond his comedic lines.

lovely
lost just shot itself in teh foot. hasn't anyone learnt that introducing time travel into just about anything is a recipe for disaster?
in lost's defense, other than that one desmond scene which gave the stupidest reason for why he can't be effected, lost is so far walking a fine line on the time travel thing but not falling off. though the arrows when in the next scene, you saw people with proper guns made no sense.
oh lost ..... be careful.

oh lost ..... be careful. Well Lost has been playing with time travel now for the last couple of seasons. Desmond was in two episodes about it. I do like they are going that you can't change the past.

I do like they are going that you can't change the past. Desmond's consiousness was in 2 places and they kept it very limited which was a good thing .. they ended it before things got overly weird but even there, it lead to too many inconsistences. btw, the latest time travel contradicted desmonds. you can't change the past no matter what you do. well apparently, when desmond travelled, he had no recollection of him ever doing what he did. so either what desmond did wasn't pure time travel or well ...

They said Desmond is an exception to the rules. I thought you'd like this as you used to often say that you just wanted things to happen, well things are happening. I found the episode a blast, and the only downside too much Hurley. You'd think if he was wanted and in hiding he'd at least cut his hair. I liked how they had a redshirt wearing a red shirt.

like i said ... i think in lost's defense, they're so far handling it well. but time traveling almost never end will.

I freakin love this show. Last night proved why Lost is easily the best show on TV (with 24 not to far behind). The show is a complete mind fuck and its great. I love how they tie past episodes together. Like the old lady at the end being in Desmond's "time travel" in the previous season. Anyone know the name of that episode b/c I need to see it again.
Also seeing that Dharma guy from the video bump into Faraday was priceless. As was seeing Desmond come out in his "end of the world" suit to greet Faraday.
I love this show!

I think it's "Flashes Before Your Eyes" or "Flashes Before My Eyes" something like that. I thought the woman at the end was that woman from season 3 who seemed to be Ben's superior in the episode that they were gonna execute or brand Juliet. Remember, there was a woman who was interrogating them? Well, it wasn't. And yeah, I like everyone else was speculating she was Faraday's mom which makes me think it's not gonna be that obvious. Plus, Ben was in L.A. and his mom is in Oxford, no? I think his mom is gonna be another big reveal. Also, this may be nothing but my best friend pointed it out... The Hanso Dharma guy... he apparently gives himself a different name in every orientation video from the different stations.

Brilliant mindfuck.
The time travel path is dangeroius, but except for the wheel in the cavern, they handle it very well so far.
