Season premiere was GREAT! I loved Megan Mullally as the adoption agent, and the ending with the soap opera was hilarious. I'm so happy this show is back

Much better than last week. I was laughing out loud when Michael kept going on and on in the conference room.

Prob the weakest episode of the season so far, but still pretty great. I was kinda disappointed they didn't address who actually robbed the Office or why insurance was discussed before they had that big event. It now seems like Holly is fired for sure, with even Michael going down too.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
for some reason, I have a feeling there is something big we don't know about Holly.
Why did Jan tell Michael not to date her? Besides being oddly jealous, I always thought there was more to her request.
And last night when they asked Michael's boss if he knew they were dating, his response, to me, made it seem like his shock was went a little further than just for office romance. Could Holly have some other history in the company or some history with the boss?

I'm surprised Michael or Jan didn't get more punishment when they became public.

That said, probably not going to be that much of a big deal, as Michael mostly does something inappropiate every week that probably should get him fired in the real world.

Hmm... I thought it was alright. It could have been stronger, especially since for sure they're gonna get a larger than normal turnout due to Tina Fey's popularity now. Megan Mullally was great!

Actually, isn't Amy Ryan leaving soon? I thought she had a short term contract. Also, the name of the next episode is Employee Transfer so something could be up.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
Tonight's episode was not funny, like at all.
I don't think it was a bad episode, it's just that The Office hasn't really been funny lately.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
There were a few funny moments to me, like Darryl desperately trying to call someone in the car, but overall I thought it was pretty bad, and the brothers seemed miscast.

The Halloween bit at the beginning was pretty great. 3 people as the Joker, lol.

I have no idea why they just didn't go with the whole halloween thing for the whole episode. That woulda been great. And Pam was so cute as Charlie Chaplin!!! I think in general, the three main stories - Jim/Pam, Michael's love life, and Dwight/Angela - are getting VERY tired. They need to give the other characters huge arcs.

I enjoyed it as there was lots of funny parts...... Michael's got alittle boring but was it to get rid of Holly > is Holly still on the show??? The Joker bit was cool - like Kevin's grade-school face that he worked on since 4 AM and the Cornell bit was funny - gotta love Dwight.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
I seriously think I was laughing throughout the entirety of "30 Rock"'s latest episode. It was brilliant and one of the best episodes ever.
Oh yeah, and "30 Rock" being superior to "The Office" is old news. It's been that way for quite some time now.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
30 Rock has in general been better than the office in the last year but last night's 30 rock was pretty boring to me (Oprah, zzzzzz) while the office was much funnier than last week. The office episode was directed by Stephen Merchant and there was a small part with Harry from Mad Men.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
The Office seemed to go a bit old school that episode and parody some things that might actually happen in an office, the way the series used to be.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
One thing I'd never thought I'd say about The Office: The Pam/Jim relationship is starting to get boring. The ending to the episode just pissed me off. And also having Pam out of the office just isn't working. The show doesn't feel the same without her there, although this week's episode was okay with the world's smallest bluetooth. It was cute and you could easily buy them doing that. The rest of the episode was pretty damn good though. The Dwight/Angela/Andy triangle needs to come to an end soon though. It's taking away time from the other character's on the show. Where the hell was Stanley this week? I did like the secondary story with Dwight and Jim. It was good seeing those two team up.
As for 30 Rock I thought it was good this week. Just good though. The Oprah storyline and the payoff was kind of lame. The best scene out of the entire hour block though was the one in Snack's avatar. I've watched that brief five second snippet about 10 times on Hulu and it's hilarious each time.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
I still love the Office. Sure, it's not rolling-on-the-floor-with-extreme-laughter funny all the time but I like that it takes time to make the characters people. Everyone in the office is their own person and I enjoy watching them. They don't feel like they're just around to say funny/dumb things for the sake of humor (mostly) but actually learn and change as people.
I hope Oscar and Andy's friendship continues. While I wouldn't be bummed if they outed Andy and that's what ends his and Angela's engagement (like rumors suggest) it'd be preferable if it could be something else. Can't Andy and Oscar just be friends? It is possible to be friends with a gay person and actually not be gay yourself.
Michael's still reeling from Holly, which is good. I was hoping he wouldn't just be over her once she was gone. It feels a little weird with Jan not around anymore, in whatever capacity, though.
As to the Jam stuff, I'm always a fan. I like their relationship isn't overflowing with melodrama and misunderstandings and all that cliche bullshit. They're just a couple in love trying to make it work, and that's that. I wonder what happens with the art storyline now that Pam's back (WOO!) in Scranton.
So, I watched 30 Rock. I've seen all of S1 and none of S2, and I'm just not a fan. I think I'd like it A LOT better if Tracy Morgan and Jack McBrayer were gone. Morgan's character is just...not funny to me. He's like someone's dumbass friend who hangs around and says stupid things and you're not sure if he's mildly retarded or just that dumb. Either way: not funny. Jack McBrayer as Kevin is just always the same. I don't think I was ever--ever--a fan of the vaguely femme, sissy man-child character type and this one is no exception. "Ha, look, it's funny because he's child-like and not all there in the head"...? Jane Krakowski's character also seems to be of the dumb-as-fuck kind, and three dipshits is way too many.
I do enjoy the writer's room stuff, Tina Fey as Liz, Baldwin as Jack, and...I think that's it. There's too much of hit/miss ratio with the jokes for me.

I thought tonight episode of 30 Rock was GREAT. Jennifer Aniston was really good. I smell an Emmy! Well, at least a nod.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
I watched my first full episode of 30 Rock last night, mostly because of Jennifer Aniston.
It was decently funny, although not hilarious or anything (I'd probably need to have watched the show from the start). I did think JA was fab, though.

 Re: The Office S5, 30 Rock S3
The Office wasn't too fantastic last nite. Kinda disappointed. They're doing good things character-wise... just I don't know. It's at its best when it's a simple parody of life in a small business.
