Re: True Blood (HBO) Season 1
Last night's episode was fantastic. It handled the subject matter of the death of a loved one very realistically and many scenes were quite effective - mainly the moment with Sookie eating the pie. I loved Tara and her scenes with her mother. The sequence where Sookie and Bill can finally see each other was also fantastic, I loved the way it was filmed and the chemistry between Paquin and Moyer is great. And the ending was actually pretty chilling.

Re: True Blood (HBO) Season 1
The constant teasing with Sam is getting annoying. Just show us what he is. Also with them bringing the demons into the stories I sure hope that Tara's demon will somehow manifest. More mythology and fantasy is always nice.
I like the show, but it seems like it's jumping around the stories with no firm grip. What happened to the ominous Vampire League that was foreshadowed as a sinister organization? The police does seem like an incompetent bunch of retards but they made no progress with three murders. Not one weird or interesting fact that connects them (nothing was stated but the grandmother probably had some vampire sex considering she didn't mind them at all)?

See it, you stupid kyunt. She was the fat, faux-lesbo. She was also Marlena on Cloverfield.

Re: True Blood (HBO) Season 1
Tonight's episode was FANTASTIC! The final scene where Bill turned Jessica was one of the creepiest and most unsettling things I've seen on TV this year. And there were a ton of other cliffhangers as well. I can't wait for next week!

Last episode was truly great. So much happened. True Blood is definitely THE new show of the season (for now).

Re: True Blood (HBO) Season 1
Tonight's episode was fantastic! Jessica was absolutely hilarious as a vampire, and the scene at the pie shop was also quite funny. But I couldn't believe some of the other things that happened. Tara's mom is an incredibly annoying character - I couldn't believe she abandoned Tara at the prison. And in addition, the woman that bailed her out is incredibly creepy. And I was shocked with what happened to Amy, and felt bad when Jason thought he had done it and took the blame. And the killer was essentially revealed tonight, I somewhat expected it but it was still a bit of a surprise.
Next week's season finale looks absolutely brilliant! I can't wait! It sucks that this season is ending though - I'm so hooked on this series.

Re: True Blood (HBO) Season 1
I was a bit dissapointed by the penultimate episode of this season. I felt like there wasn't a real build up for the final episode where everything was supposed to come together (especially considering the whole season was basically a huge build up). They made the killer pretty obvious, so the last revelation didn't come as a shock.
At first the new vampire was fun, but they went too far with it. I kinda hoped both Eric and Bill would get annoyed by her and kill her together. It would at least made an interesting dynamic between the vampire sherriff and Bill.
But the thing I'm most interested is WTF is up with the girl and the huge pig? Besides Tara's mention there wasn't anything about that.

The latest report had HBO saying it's on track to becoming their biggest show ever ratings-wise, even more than "The Sopranos."
SO pumped for the season finale tonight!

Re: True Blood (HBO) Season 1
Season finale was incredible. I loved the buildup with Rene after he was found out, and the whole sequence where Sookie discovered the truth was one of the most intense things I've seen on television all year. I loved Bill and Sam both coming to her rescue as well. Maryann is incredibly creepy and I'm really interested in learning about her connection with Sam, as well as her intentions for Tara. And the ending was shocking and left viewers with a huge cliffhanger. I hope Lafayette isn't dead.
I can't believe this won't be on the air again until summer. That's too long of a wait!

Re: True Blood (HBO) Season 1
I didn't like the first episode so I stopped tuning in. Until this weekend...
I had a TruBlood marathon on Saturday and Sunday. It defintely picked up quite a lot with great twists and just awesome stuff. I hope it gets a little darker next season. The murderer turned out to be kind of lame, but the episode was still good.
i wish Robert Pattison was the vampire in the show though.

Re: True Blood (HBO) Season 1
I watched the final 3 episodes this morning.
Noooo, not Lafayette. I'm guessing the congressman dude killed him, though were supposed to think it was Bill.
I loved Sam telling Sookie that Werewolves and even worse are real.
And then Michelle Forbes shows up and she appears to be that even worse. God I love that woman!
Bill burning then coming back was bit meh but what did I expect, for him to die?
Oh and I'm not sure I like the born again storyline for Jason.

Re: True Blood (HBO) Season 1
I love this show to pieces. I didn't want it to end. Some shows you like, but don't mind when the season finale approaches and passes. But not with True Blood. I wanted it to keep going for at least another month.
And man, the actress that plays Tara looked silly screaming at the very end. She looked like she was acting, painfully. Anna Paquin wrote the fucking book on screaming. She's had enough practice this season.

Re: True Blood (HBO) Season 1
I liked the finale a lot. They handled the killer thing pretty well. I thought they made a mistake by revealing him in the last week's episode, but I was wrong.
I don't like the Jason storyline either. I'm hoping he's just acting he's into the Sun thing because he wants to destroy them. Jason acting all stupid and blind again next season would be a rehash of this season. Hasn't he learned anything with Amy and the vamp?
Both Tara and Sookie looked silly screaming in the last scene - but I thought it worked great as True Blood often is pretty campy by itself. Though it has that serious camp look that pulls so well.
And I thought the setup for the next season was much better than the pilot setup for this one. Considering I wasn't awed with the pilot and how the show considerably picked up the quality and pace with second episode, I have high expectations for season two.

Nice article on TB: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27821649/Quote: The series will return for its second season next summer, and HBO is looking to build anticipation by releasing a DVD of the first season before that  unusually early for the network.

Re: True Blood (HBO) Season 1
they are definitely handling True Blood well. If the quality remains, it can be the next big network hit.
