This wasn't a good episode to start the time slot change. No change in location, no chance for the trailing teams to catch up, no challenging tasks, I was nearly bored out of my mind watching it last night. They could have at least made it a non-elim leg since it was such a lame leg, or thrown in a Fast Forward to give us a tiny bit of drama and have someone other than the alpha male teams get #1 & 2. And with my favorite teams now all gone (and I had 3 favorites this time! and they're all gone already), I don't know who to root for. I like the hippies & the frats, but their dominance of the race is dull tv, and I like rooting for the underdog. But the underdog teams suck the big one. Fran/Barry are whiny & arrogant, MoJo are vapid & plastic, Ray/Yolanda are cute but boring as hell, and Lake/Michelle are spastic & highstrung. Who am I supposed to like? I think I might actually start rooting for Lake/Michelle now, believe it or not. and the show desperately needs to run into a bunching point that catches all the teams up. The hippies & frats have gotten a free, easy ride for way too long now, it's getting ridiculous.

Dave and Lori were by far the weakest team anyways though, so it's good we're getting down to the good teams only.

Next week will be non-elimanation for sure.

Last night's leg was insanely dull.

Now that most of my favorite teams (Wanda & Desiree, Dave & Lori) are gone, the only team I actually actively like that's left is Ray & Yolanda.

In Order of How I Like Them
Ray & Yolanda: Cute, nice, funny people
MoJo: Decent most of the time, but Monica can get a tad too tantrum-y
Lake & Michelle: If they tried to make Lake the Jonathan/Colin of this season, they failed. He's fairly irritating, but comes across more as some goofy guy than a jerk.
Fran & Barry: Whine, whine, whine (I liked Meredith & Gretchen more than them)
BJ & Tyler: HOLY FREAKING CRAP, TURN IT DOWN ABOUT 3,000,000 NOTCHES
Eric & Jeremy: Still tools

I'm for Ray & Yolanda and BJ & Tyler all the way. Ray & Yolanda are the nicest and most self-aware and BJ &Tyler are just hilarious.

I'm starting to root more strongly for Monica and Joseph over BJ and Tyler. I don't hate BJ and Tyler like Miss Libs, but I'm getting tired of The Hippies and The Meatheads trading places every week, alternating between first and second. Enough already.

this is actually my least favourite TAR season (not counting family edition). It's all in the casting, reality shows live and die by it.

Well, that was certainly much better than last week's episode. Although Eric & Jeremy (grr) still had insanely good luck, it was nice to see Ray & Yolanda and MoJo pull ahead and BJ & Tyler sink to second-to-last (ha!).

I didn't mind Lake & Michelle, though. Michelle seems like a reasonable women and Lake was a pretty decent guy in the end.

CBS really should have made this the time slot change episode, it was much better than last week's dull leg. It would have also given them more time to promote the time slot change, instead of just 5 or 6 days.

I was very surprised this wasn't a non-elimination leg, we only have 5 teams left and what 5 or 6 episodes? Maybe they'll do another double leg like they did earlier in the season, I always preferred those to non-elims. Lake/Michelle were a bit much this episode (still not the Jonathan/Ray they want us to think Lake is though), but I still thought they were an ok team. I actually think every team is basically "ok" at this point, I don't know who to root for...maybe I'll go for Fran/Barry winning it all just because it would be a landmark in TAR history for the old fogey team to win. They still whine too much but at least now they're pretty competent.

The producers should either do away with the Fast Forward entirely or bring it back for every single leg like they did the first four seasons. I'd rather them do the latter. It's pointless to have two Fast Forwards on the whole race, because whoever gets the clue first is most likely going to go for it since there's only two of them. Before it was about giving the lower-rung teams one last chance at staying in the game and involved quite a bit of strategy, but now it's more about increasing the lead of the #1 team. Oh well, at least the hippies finally had a crappy leg.

And did my eyes deceive or did the previews show Ray/Yolanda becoming somewhat interesting next episode!?

Is that Joseph a motivational speaker? Because I really think he could have a career ahead of him in it.

Not sorry that Lake and Michelle are gone, they were at episode 1 levels of bickering, lots of "stupid" and "dang it" being thrown about. Fran and Barry brought the funny this episode, with her graceful dismount from the Bungee area and his backing into a tree.

Still hoping for a Monica & Joseph or Ray & Yolanda victory.

Yay, they're slowly eliminating teams I don't really like (Dave and Lori, Lake and Michelle). If Eric and Jeremy were booted next week, I'd be in for an awesome final four.

Still pulling for Monica and Joseph. Glad to see their second place finish.

That was hilarious. She basically looked constipated as she scream-groaned all the way down.

Nice to see Monica and Joseph get 2nd again. Happy for Fran and Barry too.

Non-elimination is okay. I woulda been pissed of Eric and Jeremy were saved by it.

Of course, the one week where I really would've loved an elimination, there wasn't one. Oh, well.

Nice to see the irritating assclown teams come in last.

I still am annoyed by Fran & Barry, but I do have to admit I'm impressed by how they've been performing. I wonder if they'll get farther than Meredith & Gretchen did.

Been thinking about it. I think they just might make it into the top three, with MoJo and the Hippies. I think Ray and Yolanda are going to be gone in the next two (three if there's another non-elim.), and the Meatheads will make another mistake or two and get ousted. If MoJo, The Oldies, and the Hippies were the top three, I'd be very happy. This is more wishful thinking than common sense.

If driving from point A to point B continues to be a major factor in the legs I can see Fran and Barry continue to do well, that's where they excel.

I didn't mind Eric and Jeremy this leg, nor BJ. It's Tyler who I have the bigger problem with. That roadblock looked harsh.

Ray and Yolanda, I think they are slowly getting frustrated to the point where a major error/meltdown is coming from them and Monica and Joseph don't look too far behind, switching detours again? This late in the race? I'm glad it worked out for them, but I think mentally they'll take a hit from coming in second when first was in their grasp.

If previews are usually just a tease, then Monica and Joseph should be safe next week, since it showed them getting lost. I hope it's just a small kind of lost, and not a game-ending kind of lost.

I'm sooo glad BJ & Tyler aren't eliminated. They're the only reason now that I'm watching this season. Their impression of Lake, LOL. I used to like Ray & Yolanda, but Ray seems like a jerk now, wouldn't even apologize though he was being filmed in front of America. Yolanda is nice though. Old people are OK, other 2 teams I could care less about.

Seriously. Is it just me? I must be the only one who wants to squash BJ & Tyler. They bug soooooooo much.

They overdo it a lot, but I don't have any problems with them.

Okay, they overdo it by about a million percent.

I've recorded the last few episodes, but I finally caught up yesterday, except for this Tuesday's, which I didn't watch yet since I heard it was non-elimination.

I don't know, I think this season has been thoroughly uninteresting. No really likable teams, hardly any team interaction. Even the team I like the least, BJ and Tyler, I wouldn't be too broken up about winning.

Surprised no one commented.

It's stupid that anyone left money for the Hippies. Eric and Jeremy were right for once. It's a game with five teams left (1 in 5 shot at a million dollars), and two teams offer to help the Hippies so they're not eliminated.

Umm, what?

MoJo was right for not leaving anything, although they seemed to only do it because they didn't want to help. They're like Romber Jr. Not a second Romber, because they don't compare, but a Jr. version. I'm glad to see them doing well, despite the Meatheads coming in first place AGAIN.

So long, Fran and Barry. Maybe they shouldn't have left the Hippies any money. Their $100 cost them $1 million. Good riddance.

I assume that all the Yield talk means the Hippies will end up yielding MoJo when the time comes. Sucky.

Will the non-elim. round air this week? Or will there be one for the final three during the 2-hour finale?

Wait, season finale (two hours) airs May 17th.

Which would likely mean...

May 3rd (this week) is non-elim.
May 10th eliminates 4th Place team.
May 17th, Hour 1: Non-elim.
May 17th, Hour 2: Final Hour.

Is there generally three non-elim rounds? If so, then I think that schedule is correct.
