Just watched Episode 5(I missed it on tv, had to download it to see it).
All I have to say is: Wow. Absolutely fantastic. The new girl, Rachel, is PERFECT. The episode featured intensity with emotional factor with the montages we love with great performances all put together in an amazing display.
It was an OTH classic episode. Maybe even better than last weeks, either way they both were tip-top. I find it funny how the first 3 episodes were as disapointing as can be, then they kick back with episodes 4 and 5 being two of the top episodes ever made. Verrryyyyy up and down season so far. But I like it.

Well I myself don't like this season. It is a huge disappointment. It makes me want to sell my Season 2 DVD since with this new season I'm quickly becoming a non-fan.

Well if episode 4 and 5 couldn't even warm you up, maybe it is time to move on. I doubt it can get better.

No they haven't, I've found all of the episodes so far this season to be mediocre. I don't know if it can be saved anymore.

Episode 7 wasn't one of the 'super-episodes' like 4 or 5, but it was still alright I guess. I liked how they gave a bit of backstory and development to both Bevin and Mouth. Bevin has transformed from 1 word every 10 episodes in S1 and S2 to a full-monolouge character with her own arc. On a side note, damn that Chris Keller gets around. Lucas looked like he was going to rip him apart at the end.
"Dan Scott for Erectile Dysfunction."
lol.

Good episode. I hope the WB doesn't do what they did the past two seasons and completely put One Tree Hill of the air from December to the end of January. I don't think it will happen though considering the season started late and the season is 4 episodes long at 26.

I LOVE Rachel/Dannell Harris. One of my favorite 'new characters' they've ever brought on. Not only is she super hot, but she is the most dynamic and most sparking personality on the show. Shes pretty good at the acting too. This girl is going places, once her OTH run is over.

as I was forced to watch this show where I told my friend to come over at 9PM from now on for Lost - sorry but I have too many problems with this show. last update.
- really thought that the show was going to have Dan catching the woman on the ledge mstranding them by taking the ladder and taking some pictures for later use of the woman in their bra and panties.
- more than Lucas look at the end, the guy in bed was even better he was smiling like the Devil.
- guess this will move L to the other girl - there should be no way that he could ever forgive his old girl in that bed.
- and Hallie looked stunning all dressed up.
that's all I remember from the show

Tonights episode was decent enough.
Damn that Dan for becoming mayor
The evil Deb montage reveal was great, even though I could guess it was her about half way through the episode.
I hope Peyton's schitzo consience reappears sometime, except next time hopefully on a storyline we care about.
Lucas and Brooke had whats got to be the cheesiest lines of the entire series in this episode, but it was all good. It was needed enough.
It looks like the show might not see Chris for a while now, that walk-away seemed like a "Goodbye OTH" to me.
Nice to see that Lucas/Peyton might not be dead in the water, as the schitzo second personality of Peyton hinted at it.
Once again the Season 1 artwork and references reappear over and over. Also, the tape in the car was a nice piece of nolstagia.
I hope we get Jake/Nikki back soon, as well as Taylor, and maybe as a shocker Felix or Anna. And I expect Keith to return soon enough, maybe next episode if he was the accomplice on the phone.

Update:
Well, it's not a huge magazine, but it's still good...
Yep, James Lafferty and Bethany Joy Lenz grace the December issue of TeenProm magazine. Personally, I don't like it nearrrlyyly as much as the Teen People cover, but that's impossible to beat anyways. It's still awesome to see the castmembers get some non-Chad publicity. The rest of the pictures:
Heh, you can tell they're kind've bored. They have this plastic instructed grins on their faces, they're acting the same in every picture. Bethany has the huge pasted-on 50s-style smile, while James looks like he wants to die. In the 2nd/4th picture, you can see it easily. I suppose they don't flow with this magazine. More:
For now at least it's something, it's nice to see they're getting out from underneath the Chad bubble. Theres more too, I'll get to posting that next...

It's been confirmed, the new episodes start again on January 11th.
Other news:
-Tyler Hilton is part of the co-hosting group doing the giant NY New Year's countdown, he'll be with Regis Philbin, and some others.
-Sophia Bush is on the cover of Cosmogirl, I might post the picture later.
-Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush are doing an autograph signing with other activities at the Mall of America, and some other malls.

Repeats suck....but hey January 11th is better than having to wait until February like the past 2 seasons.

here is some other news that I saw on IMDB - not sure if it is old news.

Bush Speaks Out About Murray Split
One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush has spoken out about her marriage split from co-star Chad Michael Murray for the first time, confessing she feels "humiliated" by his alleged infidelity. The couple were married for just five months when they split earlier this year amid reports that Murray had cheated on Bush with Paris Hilton. Bush has now poured her heart out in the upcoming issue of teen magazine CosmoGirl, admitting, "I can't say there are no hard feelings... I feel hurt, humiliated and broken hearted." The actress refuses to go into details about the break-up but admits she is shocked at the accuracy of some of the magazine articles written about the reasons for the split.

Yeah, I read the interview on one of the websites a little while go. It's actually not bad for a crappy magazine like CG, she gets rather into it. She talks about her life growing up, high school and how she was a volleyball nut, college, how she got her role on the show, and all of that Murray babble of course.
Some other interesting news/facts: Bevin Prince's fanlisting/website got a big upgrade today, the layout is a little hard on the eyes right now, but I'm sure they'll fix it. The girl who hosts it actually got an exclusive interview with her:
http://members.lycos.co.uk/simplybevin/
Quote: Our Exclusive interview with Bevin Prince =)
This is an EXCLUSIVE Bevin interview, therefore please do not post it anywhere without our permission. Thanks - Simply Bevin Staff (Mainly Courtney)
Courtney: What's your favorite episode of One Tree Hill so far?
Bevin Prince: My favorite episode of One Tree Hill is definitely the boy draft episode! All of the cheerleaders were involved in that one and we had a ball working and playing together. Over the past three years these girls have become some of my best friends and anytime I doubt myself they are always there to push me and remind me of what we are all capable of.
Courtney: If you weren't an actress, what would you want to be?
Bevin Prince: If I was not an actress I think would want to be a dentist! I know it is a little random! A smile is a window into someones heart and it should be something we are all proud of. I would love to help people perserve that!
Courtney: What's your favorite thing to do when you aren't working?
Bevin Prince: When I am not working I love, more than anything, to be with my dog.I love to take her for walks, play "ball" with her at the sound, and nap by the fireplace. She is a three year old labrador retriever and she holds my heart. No matter what kind of day I have she is always there at the door waiting for me with enthusiasm. She is the definition of honest love.
Courtney: What TV shows (Other than One Tree Hill of course) do you like to watch?
Bevin Prince: I love to watch Lost and Grey's Anatomy, I think I cry during both every week! I am a little embarrassed to tell you this but I live for American Idol!
Courtney: What's your favorite thing about your character "Bevin"?
Bevin Prince: My favorite thing about Bevin is her need for fun! She is always looking for a good time and nothing gets her down. Maybe it because she is confused most of the time...ha, but she is always smiling!
Courtney: Favorite color? (We've actually been asked this one A LOT)
Bevin Prince: My favorite color is purple. It is a passionate and strong color; it inspires me.
Courtney: What advice would you give young girls who want to act or pursue an acting career?
Bevin Prince: My mother always told me you will most likely hear 100 no's before you hear one yes...do not give up. Embrace who you are, do not try to fit into a mold, or compromise yourself to get a part. If you are your unique self, people will take notice. Also if you want it, you have to work harder each day, each time you go to an audition and each time you step on set. Most of all love the journey not the destination.
Courtney: What's your favorite sport?
Bevin Prince: My favorite sport is snow skiing! I love the way the cold air feels on my face as I race down a mountain and I love the way my feet feel by the fire at the end of the day!
Courtney: Who is your favorite singer/band?
Bevin Prince: My favorite band is Coldplay! Sophia took Lee Norris and I to a show in Raleigh for our birthdays and it was the most beautiful and honest live show I have ever seen!
Staff: How has acting affected your life?
Bevin Prince: Acting has given me a way to surface the emotions I have hidden deep inside me! It has made me a stronger and more confident person. People will tell you, "you are not pretty enough" or "good enough" and I used to believe it. I learned to not worry about what everyone else thinks but to just enjoy what I do, give it all I have, and be proud of myself.
A very big thank you to Bevin Prince for answering these questions for us. Please take the time to visit Bevin's website.
Lost, Grey's Anatomy, and American Idol. She's not that different from us.
She's getting such a nice actress-push this year, I'm beginning to like her more than anyone on the show. The fanlisting actually has 500 members, from 14(!) different countries. Not a bad number at all.

Finally back to new episodes tonight. Description:
"Brave New World"
Lucas and Peyton take a road trip together to find Ellie. While out of town, Lucas reconnects with a friend from his past. Brooke, Haley and Mouth successfully launch the Clothes Over Bro's website, only to find that demand far exceeds supply. Deb reveals to Nathan that she tried to kill Dan.
Doesn't sound like the greatest episode, but there's been surprises before. And by the way, the new girl(his friend he meets) looks like this:
Not sure if she'll stick around for a while, or she'll just be a one episode thing. I'd bet on the latter, because they've already got their "New character" hands full with the Bevin expansion, Rachel, Ellie, etc.

Well, I was right. The episode was slightly sub-par. It was kind've slow, and ultimatly pointless. Nothing was added to the overall storyline, at all really. I was right in that the black girl Faith looks like she won't last more than 1 episode, the clothing line is still somewhat not out yet, Peyton and Ellie are still bickering, etc. None of it moved forward. It sort've served as a recap episode, from the long montage clip at the beginning to tons and tons of flashbacks/recycled scenes throughout. Also, most of it was just one-on-one talking sessions between different pairs of people.
I still liked/loved it of course, but IMO having a slow moving/recap episode like this is not a good way to spike the ratings after a long break.
Some more thoughts:
-Barbara Alyn Woods is a TERRIBLE actress. I guess I sort've knew that before, but she really proved to being the worst on the show in this episode. She could not handle the confession/overly dramatic scenes, at all. James Lafferty puts her to shame, and he's barely even a real actor!
-Haley looked very good in this episode, more than Sophia Bush I would say. Bethany Joy Lenz also did an extremely fine job with acting skills in this one. Not that she wasn't before, but she's really demolishing Bush/Lafferty/Michael-Murray in that department more and more now, as each episode goes by, she widens the gap more on them. Only Burton is ability-wise above her now, though things are getting rather tight and close.
-Peyton and Lucas in the old cadillac had some real good shots, it was really nostalgic of the original S1 days.
-Bevin continues to get more development, every single episode. I thought her 5-6 sibling kids were charming, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them pop up a bit more. I find it funny that we pretty much know now more about her home-life and family than we do about ultra-character Brooke's. Now all she needs is her own storyline...

Bethany Joy Lenz is now Bethany Joy Galeotti.
She tied the knot with some Michael Galeotti these past couple days.
Apparantly they even changed the name for the opening credits in last night's episode, I didn't even notice. It'll take some getting used to, I kind've like the old name better. Galeotti is kind've a crappy last-name, it's too long and too Italian.
Maybe she'll get divorced/annulled, and everything will go back to normal, and then I can marry her...yessssss

Been listening to "Peyton's Podcasts"
Burton absolutely nails it. I mean as good as an actress she is in the show, that doesn't come close to comparing to this. She envelopes herself in the character so much, it's scary. Sounds like a real person to the 101% extent. I honestly don't know if it's scripted, or if it's improv on her part. I'd bet on it being improv, because absolutely no actress can read lines like that.
But there's also clues everywhere, so Mark Schwann might've had something to do with this. She bashes Brooke in almost every one, insulting her music taste and calling her too open and shit. She puts affection for Lucas and Jake, and talks about the mom Ellie thing. Most of it has nothing to do with the show though, it's her rambling about disco music, people fighting in the world and stuff, as well as one episode wishing Merry Christmas and all.
Anyways, if she's reading lines, she deserves like a mini podcast Oscar or something. Because it's insane how real it sounds.

I hope One Tree Hill isn' canceled. If it does get canceled it better have a good series finale. The Peyton's Podcasts are pretty good. Hilarie Burton is very good.

Just heard some news...
1) Apparantly Mark Schwann is ending Season 3 with major cliffhangers. He's trying to remain as optimistic as he can, telling himself that the show will live on. I support that ideal, but if it does truly bite the dust this year...wow. Without knowing any answers to some series-long questions, it would nag at my soul. Like for example if they never got Lucas + Peyton together, if they just end it the series in the middle of the school year like that...god. I guess it'd kind've be poetic, as we never see them reach their destination, but still. If we do get cancelled, I hope Mark writes a book eclipsing Season 4 or something, just anything to fill that hole in my brain.
2) He also said this: "Our ratings are down in terms of households," Mark admits. "But in terms of the demo that I believe the CW really cares about, we're as strong as anybody, and I really think our chances [for another year] are good."
We're definitly not dead yet!
and one more...
3) March 3rd is the date Mark wants to start his letter campaign. I'll be sending one in. The internet base is buzzing mad, so there should be quite a push. I'd bet that the CW's mailboxes will be flooding with a decent amount in input.
