i think the final cylon is roslin and i think the original 5 cylons created humans and sent them to the 13 colonies. They then helped create the culture that were human beings. So i guess they could be considered gods.

BTW, Galactica rumor now is that the show will get 22 Episodes but that will be it (oh and the two hour movie in Q4 2007).
Thoughts:
* Apparently RDM said in one of the previous podcasts that one of the abandoned concepts for Kobol's Last Gleaming Pt. 2, other than the Dirk Benedict thing was that Gaius Baltar would have heard a Hendrix song and recognized it as "something he remembered".
* The song felt like a pretty big deal. Thematically it works, but I believe there is some reason for choosing a rock song. Perhaps it will be like Galactica 1972 when they get to Earth. To me, it points to them not arriving in the distant past (the distant future? a possibility).
* I did hate the performance of the song. The vocals sucked, the music was okay. I didn't mind the whole vocal montage (it had never been done before on that show as long as I can remember).
* Starbuck is all Gandalf the White. Even her Viper looked new. But it looks like she's not a hallucination. I don't think she was the fifth. It all has something to do with "The Farm". I think she brought the pro-human Cylon cavalry... I think Starbuck helped them shut down the ships so that she could introduce them without them jumping away. I think the other Cylons that they shook off are going to catch up to them, and I think we're going to see Cylons vs. Cylons in Season 4.
* I completely believe that Tigh, Tyrol, Tory and Anders are all Cylons. David Eick said in an interview that we would have to "re-evaluate what it means to be a cylon." I don't think he's necessarily talking about hybrids and psycho things, but in the idea that maybe these Cylons aren't evil like the others and are more protective of humanity.
* I'm kind of torn on the trial. I really liked the trial in Crossroads Pt. 1 but here it was basically Lee on the stand. Now, part of the point of the speech was "we are making it all up as we go as we need to!" and even the prosecutor was like "this trial is a farce" so I can forgive it but I still don't know if that was the best way to pay off the Baltar drama. It served Lee more than Gaius.
* I did like the speech that Lee gave though. It kind of referenced something that the fans have been talking about for awhile and kind of fit in with the theme of what Papadama was going through this year. The idea that they've been very lenient of behavior because they have no choice
* I don't know if I like Baltar being spirited away by Teen Girl Squad.
* I did like when Lee threw down his tie and was like FUCK THIS SHIT I WANT ME A VIPER.
* Although the song didn't bother me, the montage of them repeating the lyrics in the ship was kind of dumb. I don't mind them all saying "there must be some kind of way out of here", but I hated when it moved to Tigh and he was all like "said the joker to the theif".
* the Earth pullback was awesome in so many ways I could write a paper on it.

BTW, I totally don't think the Starbuck is a Cylon, although I think she maybe went through the same process to be ressurected. So like... she didn't start as a Cylon.
I don't think Roslin is either. No Adama or Lee.
I'll actually go out and say that the Fifth Cylon won't be anybody we have seen thus far.
I still say they'll get Dirk Benedict

By the way, this isn't a rumor anymore. There is 22 episodes in Season 4 and the movie.
But this will likely be the end of it all.

That is cool, I don't mind them ending it now. I think they might run into the ground if they continue it too long. Also I agree with you about the cylons, I don't think these last five are evil. Not sure who the final one will be, it will either be someone we haven't seen or its Roslyn. I also now think the five cylons are the lords of Kobol, but that is just speculation on my part.

i'm fine with 4 being the last season. No offense but after about episode 7, this season was plain unbearable.

Well there is only so much they can keep stretching the show. They had a lot of filler episodes this season that is for sure.

I just think there's too much for it to be Roslin. It can't be the Adamas, because Lee and Bill are part of a family with generations of history and connective tissue. Tigh is a little easier to believe as a Cylon, it's all a matter of when he became part of Bill's life.
Roslin was suffering from cancer and nearly died. That's not really a Cylon trait, plus she was saved by Cylon blood. She definately has a Cylon connection, just as Athena has the opposite connection to being a Human, but I truely believe that the series needs to move closer towards a "we're not all that different, we could work together here", because in all fairness, if the Cylons decided to kill Galactica and the Fleet, it wouldn't be hard. They are just holding back because of the Earth info, Hera, etc.
Thedigitalbits.com is reporting that the 2 hour movie will be about the Pegasus, and how it escaped.

I disagree. I think Season 3 was waaaaaaaaaaaay better than Season 2. Except for maybe "Torn", "The Woman King" and maybe "A Day in the Life". Even those episodes weren't bad although I think them all in a row like that was a bad thing. And I did like "Hero" although I don't like how the episode really didn't mean anything and now Bulldog is like GONE.
I think I loved the way that the entire season had the stink of New Caprica about it. True that the season finale was more exciting than "WTF" like Season 2, and the mid-season cliffhanger was not as fantastic as "Pegasus", but this season had things like...
"Occupation/Precipice" through "Collaborators", and I'm almost afraid that the show can never ever get this good again. These 4/5 episodes were just... fantastic.
I really liked the damaged-Starbuck and damaged-Tigh storylines, so the love quadrangle (which in total maybe took up 60 minutes of screen time) was fantastic and I thought not overly done (nobody agrees with me on this). I don't have a problem with Dualla or Cally though so...
Baltar was amazing in almost every scene this year. The two torture scenes, especially "Taking A Break From All Your Worries" and in "A Measure of Salvation".
The Season focused a lot more on Earth, which was pretty much dropped after "Home Part 2" in Season 2.
True, next year could use more Roslin and Six and even Adama, and the Cylon ship should have been better realized (damn TV show budget) but I think it said what it needed to say.

Bravo!! I totally applaud Dirk Benedict being the 5th Cylon OR Maybe an Imperious Leader of sorts that the Cylons answer to like they had in the Old GALACTICA Series in the 70's?? Now that would be totally cool to not only have him but you have Richard Hatch as well.. The Earth pull back shot was pretty thought provoking with so many questions that need to be solved.. Moore did say that the show would end without a Cliffhanger and involve Earth.. As long as the episode involving Earth doesn't even resemble the lame GALACTICA 1980 Series that lasted like 2 weeks, I'll be happy..

Yowsers, excellent finale althou the thought of having to wait till next year for answers is infuriating.
The earth pullback was absolutely amazing, and the fact that North America looks in good nick means I can discount Earth being a nuclear scarred wasteland when they get there. (My apocalypse loving brain entertained the possibility.)
How the hell will they explain using All along the Watchtower thou (outside of it being a random radio transmission from Earth) because otherwise it will make no sense...................unless Earth is populated by Cylons which would be a ballsy decision.
Anderoo's posts summed up a lot of my other views as well.

When they hear that song, it must be set in Present Day Earth when they hear that transmission which when they arrive, it will be the Present Day 2008 and not GALACTICA Timeline.. Now THAT would be cool having GALACTICA and the Cylons arriving in the Present, now, as we see things with the War and all....

Jay your an idiot, season 3 was excellent.
Glad to see its beginning in November as opposed to January. The wait won't be as painful.

Jay, Jay, Jay... I like ya. But you're so very, very wrong. There hasn't been a duff season of Galactica yet.
I'm also very pleased it's ending this next season. It already feels like it's near a conclusion. Like someone somewhere said (on another site, I think), having this end point will give them the focus to really give it the send off it deserves.
Best TV series ever.

I was fairly indifferent to it for the whole of the first season. I started to like it a lot during the second. By the end of the third season I fell completely in love with it. It's not the kind of show you should expect to love after just a couple of episodes. It rewards people who stick with it. But the rewards are far greater than any other show I've ever seen. It's a remarkable, remarkable piece of work.
