I liked The Woman King despite the fact that it was the episode this year I was most fearful of. There were some out of place scenes, the scenes with Roslin and Zarek and the scenes with Six and (OH MY GOSH) HeadBaltar were both excellent but examples of being out of place.
I didn't like how all of the sudden everyone on Galactica was uber racist. This episode was a little out of place for Adama, and the show would have been far richer if it had actually included the deleted scene with Adama threatening Helo with a firing squad if he brings up his treason with the cylon genocide issue again. Tigh didn't surprise me, but Chief did and some of the others. I kind of resent the fact that Helo is the moral compass of the show because I don't really like him for how anti-authority he is. His arguments with Tigh and Sharon and Cottle this episode were great though.
Speaking of Sharon, I'm going to give Grace Park some credit. She's never really struck me as a great actress, but in my opinion, Athena has been extremely well written in the later part of this season, in what limited screentime she gets.
But pretty much everybody got some screen time and got some time to shine. Overall it was a good episode. Two more episodes until we're back to the main arc though. We're kind of in the same territory we were last year with Black Market, Scar, Sacrifice and The Captain's Hand... I only liked 2 out of those 4 (Scar/Captain's Hand), and so far I've liked Taking A Break... and The Woman King so at this point at least we're even with season 2.
Fortunately or Unfortunately, Season 4 won't have these types of episodes.

BUMP.. It's been awhile, but I heard that last night's episode of GALACTICA was a damn good episode.. Anyone see it?? It involved Chief Tyrol challenging Adama and Adama saying they shoot people in the head like Tyrol who go up against him..

that episode was so boring, i was walking around doing things towards the end of it. so i didn't catch one thing.
[spoil]so is starbuck a cylon? i heard some mention of it douring the last few moments but didn't catch if he said you are a cylon or something similar.
either way, i'm happy. i hated star buck and her dying or being a cylon are both good in my books.[/spoil]

Meh, I am waiting for HD rips so only at ninth episode of third season. One good thing if BSG got on NBC, or whatever the station was, there would be HD versions much much sooner available.
Is the show good atleast?

today's episode was awful.
they need to start concentrating on story again. everytime this season they've concentrated on character development, they've fucked up

I liked it. I don't think Kara is dead by the way and she isn't a cylon. I think that storm produced a vortex. To me her ship kind of did the same thing the Deloriean did in Back to the Future (I think that was a tip of the hat to those movies). I think she went to earth. It is her destiny to find earth and she will find a way back to Galactica to lead them to it. This is just my speculation.

Holy Christ!! There's MAJOR SPOILERS for the Finale of Season 3 of GALACTICA which I'm surprised no one around here watches anymore for being the BEST Show on TV, but here it is: HIGHLIGHT AT YOUR OWN RISK:
* The fleet realizes the Cylons are somehow following it to Earth.
* Tigh talks to Six about it, but their conversation (thanks to Six’s Inner Gaius) turns into a fistfight.
* Anastasia Dualla leaves Lee Adama over Lee’s defense of Baltar.
* Apparently a cult has risen in the fleet identifying Baltar as a prophet of some kind.
* Baltar is not prosecuted for his role in the destruction of the 12 colonies due to lack of hard evidence. He will be tried only for his New Caprica actions.
* Kara’s widower is now training beside Seelix as a pilot.
* The fate of Ellen Tigh comes up in Baltar’s trial.
* Lee and Bill Adama each ask the other to excuse themselves from their roles in Baltar’s trial. The argument escalates until Lee quits the colonial military!
* Roslin dreams of the place Baltar and Six visited on Kobol. Hera is there, and Six and Sharon and Baltar and the Final Five. And it turns out Roslin, Sharon and Six were all having the same dream simultaneously.
* On the stand, Roslin admits she’s back to doing Kamala, because her cancer has returned.
* Gaeta lies on the stand. He says Baltar never protested when the Cylons told him to sign execution orders.
* Lee proves himself every inch Joseph Adama’s grandson. There is a not-guilty verdict in Baltar’s trial.
* Saul Tigh, Galen Tyrol, Sam Anders and Tory Foster (Roslin’s aide) start hearing low, distracting music a lot of the others don’t hear. Are they four of the Final Five?? (And the music appears to be – GET THIS - Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtowerâ€Â!!! How!! But!! WHAT!!!!)
* Anders and Tory have a make-out session.
* Adama tells an unhappy Roslin it was his swing vote that freed Baltar.
* Right after the verdict, the Cylons attack! The entire fleet loses power!
* Baltar’s cult whisks him away to safety,
* Tigh, Tyrol, Anders and Foster are all independently driven by the Dylan tune to the same launch tube. All four are horrified to come to the conclusion that they’ve all always been Cylons!
* The lights come on. Everyone is ordered to battle stations. Tigh, Tyrol and Anders scramble to their posts.
* Lee too is back in uniform and notices an unidentified craft on the DRADIS. When he investigates, he finds Kara in her viper. She says she’s been to Earth and can show them the way.
10 p.m. Sunday. SciFi.

One of those spoilers was expected but ya Sundays episode was very interesting. Baltars Lawyer is brilliant, they need to get that man a permanent cast slot.
I was hoping the radio signal would be from Earth thou, and would have been Hitlers Olympic speech just for the hell of it.

BUMP.. Come on.. I can't be the only one who saw the Awesomeness of the Season 3 Finale??? Kara Thrace shows up at the end that was either an imagining in Lee's head or she went through a vortex in the episode titled MAELSTROM.. Baltar is acquitted due to lack of evidence and we see who the final 5 are supposedly as Cylons all along.. Col Tigh as a Cylon would be 1 badass Cylon, eye patch and all.. In any evcent, GALACTICA Resumes in Jan 2008 for Season 4 and a 2 hour movie is planned this Fall to coincide with that..

i saw it
good episode but they really didn't build the season properly to get to this point. it seems like all plot points over the last few episodes have only existed in that episode. they didn't do the good build ups like they used to
but still ... it was very cool though i have 2 problems
whats with the Watchtower!?!?
Kara's back in an awful fashion. not very happy

2 things about the Kara issue: Was Lee the only one who saw her which could've been a dream sequence of sorts and could she be a Cylon unknown to everyone else now that she's gonna lead them to Earth as sort of a trap with the Cylons following right behind, basestars and all??

As I said before Kara went through a wormhole of sorts that led her to earth. She now knows where it is and can led the fleet to it.

i didn't know last night was the finale, and now I'm sad. The best show on tv is off the air until 2008 (besides the movie).
But what a finale it was. All Along The Watchtower!!!! Just amazing way to end. Is Kara the final cylon, or is it someone else like the lying Gaeta.
Baltar is a god amongst his peers.

I don't think Kara is a cylon. I think that storm thing she went into was a wormhole that she went into. For some reason she was chosen to lead them to Earth. Maybe it has something to do with the Lords of Kobol. I am also wondering about the final five cylons, my suspsion is they aren't bad. I think there has to be a good reason why the other 7 didn't know them and there programed made them forget all about them. I think they started thinking humanity needed to be saved and they were shut down because of it. Have no idea how models slipped out though.

I've started thinking more and more that the President is the final Cylon. Her coinky-dink dreams that coincided with both Agatha's and 6's certainly seem to suggest that. Though that might just be a giant red herring.

That would indeed be a twist in the tail (titter).
Nevertheless, don't be a complete and utter twat. The final cylon is clearly... GALACTICA!
