 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
http://winteriscoming.net/2014/05/23/ch ... w-details/Here are some of the leaked characters for next season Prince Trystane Martell – Trystane, the handsome fiance of Princess Myrcella, is being aged up to 18. Areo Hotah - Doran’s personal bodyguard will appear throughout the season, assisting the prince with his duties. The show is particularly looking for a black actor to fill the role.
The Sand Snakes, Oberyn Martell’s bastard daughters (with ages ranging 18-25): Obara Sand – The eldest and most athletic Sand Snake will be having a major fight scene with a series regular character- not one who crosses her path in the books. This is an interesting change. Nymeria Sand – Nymeria is described as “mixed race,” with her father being the fairer Oberyn and her mother being darker skinned. The second oldest of these Sand Snakes, she’s beautiful, emotional and very strong. Tyene Sand - The youngest of the Sand Snakes that we meet uses her wits and seductive powers, and is less of a physical fighter than the other Sand Snakes. She is just as deadly as her sisters, however, but her weapon is poison.
High Sparrow - The books’ pious head of a religious movement will be appearing in several episodes in season 5. Septa Unella – The show is looking for a character actress to play the imposing and unrelenting septa who spends a lot of time with a major series character next year. Maggy the Frog- A fortune teller in A Feast for Crows, she’ll be in one episode next year. Lollys Stokeworth – Just last week in “Mockingbird,” Bronn announced his intention to marry Lollys, whom Tyrion considers “dimwitted.” It looks like the sellsword will still be around next year. Yezzan - A sleazy Meereenese slave owner. The Waif – The strange child from the books that Arya encounters will likely be played by an older actress, one in her later teens, and we understand the show is specifically looking for a woman of East Asian descent for the part. After seeing the cast the most noticeable ones missing from the earlier chapters of Dance with Dragons/Feast of Crows are Ariane, Quentin Martell and Wyman Fucking Manderly

edit* That's just a casting list and wouldn't include characters that had already been cast, right? The ones you mentioned are pretty important and I bet they already had actors in mind for them. edit 2* Same with Griff, Aegon, the Greyjoys, etc...

I am sure the greyjoys and Aegon will show up, but it is possible they don't to spoil certain things yet. It did say these are just some of the new characters

Holy shit. As a non-reader of the novels, I found the ending of the most recent episode to be among the series' most surprising moments.

Holy crap indeed. What an ending.
You'd think with both of them dying, that equals a draw though.

Well that's what you get for not finishing a fight when you can. Looks like next week will be all Castle Black.

You were wondering how they were gonna spice up the next season. WELL THERE YOU GO.
I don't expect to see Sansa for the rest of the year though. Same with the Boltons.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
The show just developed Sansa further in an episode than Martin has done in two books.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
My wife had to cover her eyes during the ending to the fight scene. That didn't help though because the sound was worse...
I really liked Oberyn in the TV show more than the book, so even though the end was coming I was still sad to see it.
So is next week really going to be just the battle at the Wall? An entire episode?

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
Yup, next week's episode will be devoted to the Battle of Castle Black similar to Black Water for season 2.The last episode they would need to cover a lot including Jon Snow's promotion to Lord Commander, Arya abandons Sandor, Tyrion's escape from King's Landing, and Lady Stoneheart

David wrote: Holy shit. As a non-reader of the novels, I found the ending of the most recent episode to be among the series' most surprising moments. They did a much better job of building up TV Oberyn than in the books IMO. He's only in Storm of Swords for like 3 or 4 chapters, in the wake of the Red and Purple Weddings. I liked his character, but never had time to become attached before the Mountain That Rides crushes his head. In the show, the writers and Pedro Pascal did wonders with Oberyn. So well that they managed to convince all the Unsullied that he would finally be the one to bring justice to the Lannisters. This, new Sansa and all the others changes they've made this year back up my optimism that the show will be just fine without the books. Shit it might even be more efficient at telling this part of the story. I'm now expecting Dany to get usurped midway through next season instead of at the end. Drogon will return in episode 6 and make BBQ Hizdahr. And welcome back Ciaran Hinds! Caesar will hopefully be back in this next episode, though its weird they didn't show him in the previews.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
Yeah that was brutal. It was a great episode, though, especially the Littlefinger-Sansa scenes. They got rid of Jorah earlier than I thought, but I think that is because of how much they have to cover. Next week should be great. I am looking forward to the battle at the Wall.

Definitely a shocking ending. Most gruesome death by far, and that's saying something.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
This season is proving that the show will get stronger and stronger as it takes liberties with the source material and/or surpasses it. I love what they did with Sansa. Brilliant.
Next season should really improve on Feast/Dance.

Are they even going to do that epilogue scene? They would have had a scene by now with Thoras of Myr and Beric Dondarian.

Just based on what the show has done so far. They used Hot Pie to speed up her meeting with the Brotherhood.
