I won't be seeing the actual concert live so I will definitely go see this. Should be fun. Good idea, IMO. May actually give the show even more attention and give it a ratings increase when it returns in September.

The concert last year was actually supposed to be GREAT. I heard nothing but rave reviews. I see this doing well, and it's a very smart move from a business standpoint.

I guess they should milk it as much as they can while they can. I'd love if they did a live TV show though.

I'm worried this won't even open here since we only have one 3D screen and FD5 opens the same day.

It's a cute clip, but I don't watch GLEE anymore. That girl is the frontrunner to play Nina in the IN THE HEIGHTS movie though, so maybe her being in it will make Mike actually watch it.

Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
Excited for tonight's episode. Hope it goes up in the ratings. Though wasn't Glee down towards the end of last season too? Even on CW now shows are down quite a bit. I think it has to do with the weather being nice again and the planning of proms and graduations. These shows are probably TiVo'd quite a bit, and they certainly do well on iTunes.

They were mostly in the 5's because of the Idol lead-in. It's first non-Idol fueled show (since the first season aired up until the summer season) dipped to a high-3 while the finale scored a 4.7 in the demo.

Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
This was a great episode. Wish I could have seen the ending. The last two minutes were interrupted by a stupid storm warning. It cut in when Kurt told Dave now was his chance to come out and it's still on. So pissed I didn't get to see what happened.

Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
All that you missed was Dave saying he couldn't and running away, and then Blaine stepping in to dance with Kurt.
Anyways, I agree - it was another great episode. It's interesting that while last season the final few episodes were the weakest, ever since this has come back from hiatus its been on fire creatively. I loved the scenes between Kurt/Dave, especially the apology. Also, I LOVE Santana. She has become my favorite character on the entire series in just a handful of episodes. She is outshining almost everyone. Also appreciated how, for the second week in a row, most of the musical numbers were not over the top and were semi-grounded in reality. I knew about the prom king and prom queen reveal from the highly publicized spoiler leaks, but it was still sad and well-handled.

Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
The only thing that needed to be on fire this year were a lot of Glee scripts. I hate how songs have become what I dread the most in TV shows today - backdrops for a bunch of scenes where people look at each other, slow-mo scenes of wind brushing someones hair... The whole Friday number was pointless. Totally wasted 3 minutes of perfectly good story time. That goes for the most of songs in this latest episode.
The whole Kurt Queen thing was predictable (especially when Dave was voted the king) and I was hoping that his name won't pop but still... Glee went there. Also I agree with Kurt's dad and Blaine. Kurt's totally pushing it. Dude. You're a gay kid wearing a dress to the prom. Leave kilts for Scottish people, shall we?
The only good part was Britanny not falling for Artie's bad apology (maybe it's the writer's point that the most brainless person in Glee has the smartest decisions?).
Also why is Jessie back? Talk about unnecessary comebacks.
Ugh.

Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
The prom episode wasn't as good as Rumours but was still pretty enjoyable. I had heard a spoiler about Kurt becoming prom queen and it seemed absolutely ridiculous, but it actually worked in context.
Quinn slapping Rachel was so overhyped in the ads, though. lol
The music in this one was not especially good, though. We all know how much I love Rolling in the Deep, but the version last night totally did not work. And this is coming from a huge fan of both Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff's voices.
Also, it was really strange for Friday to appear and not be mocked or satirized in any capacity.

Re: "Glee" Thread - Sept 9 as scheduled!
Yeah, I was disappointed with "Rolling in the Deep." Thought it was going to be something approaching epic, but it totally failed. I didn't read any spoilers about the prom king/queen reveal so I found it surprising. Even when Dave was announced prom king I had no idea who would be prom queen . Anyway, I felt really bad for Kurt. That was sad. But about wearing a kilt, I have to agree with Kurt's father and Blaine. People should be able to be as different as they want to be, but the sad fact is it makes some people uncomfortable and him going to prom dressed like that was asking for trouble. I think you should try and blend in as much as possible. Plus, he should have considered Blaine's feelings in the matter. If I were Blaine I'd have been embarrassed to go with a guy in what amounts to a skirt . Thanks for filling me in on what I missed Thom.

I just hope the funeral isn't Dave's. He has been set up as a gay who due to society cannot come to terms with himself, so he kills himself. I like him as he is a more interesting gay character than copy/paste type that Kurt is.

He's the most likely candidate, IMO. I'd rather it wasn't him, but I don't know who else it could be.

I'm hoping Will's wife gets hit by a car. Or Jessie. Glee really has a nagging habit of bringing back annoying characters.

He's one of the only most interesting character on the show....killing him would be so predictable and would ruin their chances at developing him further.

They wouldn't kill off Kurt's father would they? He did have a heart attack early in the season.
