Tuesday was pretty stand out in season 4 but it doesn't compare to the pivotal events in these two episodes.
And if Before the Flood is the S4 finale, you already know I don't hold that episode in as high a regard as the other finales to say the least
Is your internet or network still down?

ohmygod. My internet is back up and I saw the episodes today. i swear i ejaculated multiple times. Out of my eyes that is.
I cried! Okay, let the spoilers run free now!
[spoil]
I KNEW Irina was evil!!!! But I like how she's always been this dimensional villan. I love her so much.
Sloane i actually have started to kind of like. Took them two seasons to make me like him, but I do like him now wheras I loathed him for being evil before [but always liked him as a character]
I thought Jack was great too, especially in S.O.S when he shot the CIA director.
The birth was some seriously upsetting shit! I don't know why I cry like a baby at this show all the friggin time.
The final "revelation" was pretty immense. It explains why the episode has such a high regard, women viewers of alias really loved Vaughn. But it was seriously overall the best two hours the show has had since Phase One.
Jennifer Garner better get that Emmy. Best actress on television right now by a long shot. Her performance in Maternal Instinct was incredible. They need to submit that episode for her.
Overall Alias' endgame begins to become apparent. They will certainly have more in store soon.
P.S whats with Tom Grace's character's seedy religious club thing!?
P.P.S - Amy Acker is the best villain this show has had since Anna Espinsoa and Irina Derevko. Anna is back next week again, YAY!

Great two-hour episode. I'm hoping to see Garner get an Emmy this year, seeing as how it's the show's last hurrah.

Not totally. AICN review of MI3 said it was basically Alias with Cruise playing Garner. So that's 2 more hours of it for you.

Hmmm... who I thought was Merin Dungie (gah, can never remember how to spell her name!) in the original preview could be Gina Torres. Do you know if Francy will be back?

Tonight's ep was kinda hot. Great to see the team in action during the night club scene. AND, Amy and Gina, together again.
I was a bit lost since I hadnt watched in a few weeks. What's the Foxy 5 Force, room of white men, Horizon, Vaughn is in hiding?

Another great episode.
Even if the episode was not amazing in and of itself just having the old characters back makes improves the quality even though that doesn't make sense. but of course, you know they are planting the seeds for the end-game so you know it's a worthwhile episode and not just good because of the return of the old characters.
I thought it was the return of Vaughn though and we didn't see him in this episode.
And I rewatched the ending of the 2 hour return before tonight's episode and picked up on something pretty damn significant that I didn't catch the first time around. And this episode flat out supported my thoughts.
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!!!
SPOILERS!!SPOILERS!!SPOILERS!!SPOILERS!!SPOILERS!!SPOILERS!!SPOILERS!!
What I was just talking about was that Sydney knows Vaughn is alive. In the 2 hour return, after just giving birth and on the plane back home with her dad, Sydney looks at her dad and say, "Dad..." and kinda makes a gesture with her head. And Jack responds with, "I'll take care of it." And we immediately switch to the scene in which Vaughn finds out he has a daughter. So, what could possibly be the reason they have to keep him in hiding and that she can't see him at all?
Will was great as always and that last bit in the park (saying all that stuff to Sydney) was great. It needed to be said after all these years. I hope he doesn't disappear again and makes at least one more appearance before the show ends.
Anna Espenosa was also great. But I guess that's the last we see of her or at least the actress. I am now getting the feeling that initially introducing Anna Espenosa was not a random character but that it's something about her and no one else that can do whatever they're going to do with Syd's dna and stuff. I also now believe that the double helix gene therapy thing back in season 2 was introduced for the endgame as well (or I hope at least).
The pieces are coming together but it's happening too fast
I wish the entire Season 5 was used to flesh this finale out, but oh well, I'll take what I can get and every episode from now looks to be as or more explosive than the one before it!

Hmmm.. last night's episode dropped to 6.5 million ad in 4th place
Invasion did almost 1 million viewers better while the LOST recap did just under 12 million.
I wonder how Alias will fare with a new LOST next week. I hope it at least bumps back up to 7.5 million.
It feels weird not really caring too much about the Alias ratings for once.

I find it kind of relieving, like after Sarah Michelle Gellar said S7 was the last of BtVS. Ratings never really mattered with BtVS, as it was never high up there (even for WB/UPN), but it was still nice to know that the show would finish out and that whatever the ratings were when they were released on wednesday morning were irrelevant. Alias has 4 more airings and it is basically immune to the whole ratings game now, yay!
In regards to last night's ep,
[spoil]It was so nice seeing Will again. It felt like he was just back again and that he hadn't been out of the loop for 2 years. He and Syd just clicked right back to where they were, and i hope that when it is all said and done that Will can be part of Syd's life again, like on a daily basis. Amy Acker's line about how she thinks she and Anna will get along was really amusing, what with the whole Joss background they share. Drew Goddard is such a great writer, and i am so looking forward to him saving Lost next season. Sloane has Nadia's cure, but somehow i don't think he just injects her with something and all is well. I smell complications...
I loved Rachel's "Who's Rambaldi?". It really reminded of way back in S4 of BtVS when Faith wakes up from her coma and everyone is talking for the whole scene about what to do, etc and then right at the very end Riley chimes in with a "Who's Faith?". There were so many things that reminded me of BtVS, and as this was Drew Goddard i doubt there were accidental. There were also many callbacks to past Alias eps, which is also pure Drew Goddard. When Anna kissed the window i was like "Hey!!! She kissed the window, she hasn't kissed a window in a long while!" I also loved how Will is going to marry that girl he asked out from 2 yrs ago. Little things like that are the reason i love Drew Goddard.
Those babysitters were fantastic, and their case witht he baby stuff was wonderful. I keep coming back to Will, but how can i not? The way that Will was generally not really that worried and never really thought he would die and had complete faith in Sydney was nice. Also him asking her to be his best man had echoes of Xander/Willow. Next week looks cool, 2 Sydneys! [/spoil]

Malcom, you're dead on with the BtVS comparisons. I really enjoyed the episode. Drew Goddard = quality and I can only expect great things from Lost Season III.

I really don't like it when people compare Buffy to Alias. I mean, sure Alias inherited lots of Buffy fans, but Buffy and Alias have been different animals all along. They have similarities, but the similarities end in the execution. I liked Buffy for very different reasons, I certainly found its writing far less profound than that on Alias. Certainly the blend of Buffy and Alias staples is working very well for these episodes.
They both really nail the Femme Fatale.
On the latest episode
[spoil] Woah, Anna is amazing I love her character so much.
Will and Syd had lots of cute moments and the stuff with Syds daughter was done really well.
Im really glad to see them bring Rambaldi back into the loop. The rambaldi storyline is what Alias has always been based upon. At the end of last season ABC told them to move away from it. But since they got notification of cancellation, they went back with it. I really think its a great way to go out because they've got so much freedom to employ old arcs and characters and really go crazy with the complex stuff.
Sometimes with Alias you felt like it spent half of the show saying things for first time viewers. I remember a scene in season 4 when Sloane basically explained his entire situation to Jack even thou Jack was, of course, perfectly aware. I think things like that really strike you as annoying because I already know all that stuff, and so did the majority of the watching audience.
Anyway. The Sydney Clone thing is awesome. Now Anna is totally going to do all the bad shit that Sydney was supposed to do.
Seriously Anna is Sydneys arch nemesis, who better to play the woman who Sydney will have to take down!? I also believe Olin will have a BIG part in the finale. It's all going on!!!!!
In other news, the realisation that Alias is less than a month away from conclusion is really starting to set in. I honestly, and I mean this 100% truly, do not know How I am going to cope without it. I'll be a lesser man [/spoil]
