A two-season renewal is too much and reminds me of Glee's premature 2-season renewal. Community has been revived by Yahoo! Network for a sixth season of 13 episodes! #sixseasonsandamovie!

The timing of Hieroglyph's fate is particularly surprising as Reilly's replacement has yet to be named.
Only the first episode had been filmed on Hieroglyph before writers began breaking stories for the rest of the season. Filming on the remaining 12 episodes were expected to start later this year. Hieroglyph was expected to premiere on Fox in early 2015.
Last fall, Fox gave the action-adventure fantasy drama a hefty 13-episode order as part of its move to bypass the traditional pilot season, bringing on Being Human executive producer Anna Fricke via an overall deal to serve as showrunner. _________________1. I wonder if Fox will try to bring 24 back for the spring for another 12 episode arc? I think the show is better than what it was the previous 3 seasons, and making it only 12 episodes helps a alot. I think they could get it filmed in time.

That's definitely not true. I just read yesterday that the Greta Gerwig pilot was dead but the concept was being redeveloped for next pilot season. This happens all the time though and never actually comes to fruition.
