 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
I'm sure Dorne will feature next year but not nearly to the extent it does in the book. Benioff and Weiss know those chapters slow everything down.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
There wasn't enough of Dorne to really slow things down, beyond Martin's insistent need to be the wordiest ever. New locations, some spirited characters, just the kind of things to add some extra spice to the show.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
Dorne has a fierce woman that likes to use sex as a weapon. It's going to be on the show a lot and there will be boobs. The problem with the chapters is that they use other characters POVs. If all those chapters had taken place from Arianne's POV it would have been fine. Same with Asha in the Iron Islands. Actually a men/women character split would have been a lot better thematically than the location split. All you have really have to do is switch Dany with Jaime.

Dorne was boring. Too many brown people doing many brown things.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
The chapters were just slow. I think they can change some things, condense others, and make a pretty good storyline out of Dorne.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
Feast and Dance should never have been split. I like the Dorne and Iron Island chapters actually. It's the wasted Brienne, Dany and Tyrion chapters that were a bore. (Dany's last chapters were good, Tyrion's middle chapters were ok too.
Still this is where the show will elevate itself over the books - make something mor coherent and interesting out of books 4 & 5 while trimming the fat.
Dorne will certainly feature.

Gamaur wrote: That may have been the best episode I've seen. Amazingly directed, brutal and satisfying. If this season can maintain that kind of energy the show has definitely gone to the next level. Yeah agree with this. The show steps up to another level. Every scene was top notch. Technically and visually a step above all other episodes. GRRM's writing is much much better than in the S3 Ep. he wrote. The show has a certain swagger now and has the material this season to kick ass for the rest of the season.

Really good episode. Not on par with last week, of course, but still really good. The interaction between Tywin and Oberyn was great!

Not really the most exciting episode but it would make a great emmy submission tape for Charles Dance

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
This is the first time that book readers feel like Unsullied ... and its awesome! The Other King (or whatever) was obviously awesome. Equally awesome is Bran finally getting something to do. We don't have to wait two years for his story to pick up! Yay TV! Those mutinous fucks need to die though. Killing babies and raping women is one thing, but locking up Ghost and maiming Hodor? Fuck you! For the first time ever the North has the most interesting storyline.
And Ser Pounce returns! Fiercest warrior in the Kingsguard.

I liked the changes especially seeing the Land of Always winter. I did like it they confirmed a theory that the kidnapped babies were turned into White Walkers.

Another brilliant episode. Loved the ending!
And also loved the Jaime Brienne scenes.

Now it is going to be the adventures of Podrick and Brienne. He is already calling her Ser by accident.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
Pretty sweet episode, some deviations from the book that were handled well.
And the boom comes down! I wonder how many people caught what Lysa was saying to Littlefinger...

Lysa is still creepy as ever. I really enjoyed the battle at Craster's keep, especially Jon Snow killing Karl. Jon was pretty badass in that episode.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
It looks like since Locke is killed by Hodor, he won't be the placeholder for Bowen Marsh for what happens at Dance With Dragons.
Although not much has happened to move the story forward save for the whole Eyrie story, I loved the action sequence at the craster's keep.

Hopefully Lysa is killed by the end of the season.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
How can you wish Lysa to die?
She's easily the most fucked up person in all of the GoT universe, And a cunt, she isn't Cercei levels of cunt, but she is one. That makes her so fun to watch.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
Lysa is just obsessed over Littlefinger, and really he is just controlling her for the most part. The last two episodes further show how awesome a master manipulator he is.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 4
You need to keep an eye on Sansa, she's also learning how to play the game, Petyr knows how important she really is and once she realizes how important she is to Petyr's plan, shit's gonna get interesting.
