Claire is having her baby during the season finale. As to which male castaway will die, my money is on Jack.

I really doubt they will kill off Jack.
I have my money on Boone.
I mean think which characters have had 2 or more backstory episodes and they are more in focus.
So far Shannon and Boone have only had one.
Hurley has had 1 but that's cuz it was late in the season and plus, he's the comic relief.
I don't think they'll get rid of Shannon cuz she's starting that romance with Sayid, which obviously seen is taking a LONG time to develop.
Boone and Charlie really have NO relevance or importance on the show, but Boone does play a bit of a bigger role and that's why axing him would be a bit better than axing the even more useless Charlie.
Personally, I like both Boone and Charlie. Or at least I used to. Since the last 2 episodes they have both been getting annoyong and less relevant.
My favorite characters are Locke, Claire, and Sun.

SPOILER IN WHITE
Apparently Locke is responsible for the death of the male castaway.

I don't see a triangle personally. Sawyer and Sayid had mild flirtations with Kate but she's pretty clearly more interested in Jack.

She may be more interested in Jack (which might I add they have downplayed or just ignored for now) but she is DEFINITELY attracted to Sawyer as well.

Hey guys, anyone get weirded out by the cradle bit? I mean, wasn't her dream with her in the woods, Locke talks to her in the exact same lighting, and then there was some cradle that had the blood in it?

Here are some more details regarding the DVD set of Season 1 to be released on Sept. 6, including box art. I have to say I'm not blown away, I would of liked just the title: "Lost" and the season number on the box. Also, what's with the silver? I like the look of the title screen on the show, a nice black box would have been fantastic.
Still not going to deter me from getting it the day of release.

UPDATED!! LOST Hiatus Cut Short!! New Episodes Air March 30 & April 6!! I am – Hercules!!
This is two weeks earlier than previously thought. Here’s how things shape up going into May sweeps: 1.19 March 30. Deus Ex Machina. Locke makes hatch progress. 1.20 April 06. Do No Harm. Jack helps with labor pains. 1.21 April 20. The Greater Good. Sayid-centric. 1.22 April 27. Born to Run. Kate-centric.
UPDATE!! The Hollywood reporter just posted its story on the Museum of Television & Radio's Saturday "Lost" event, and one of the few new things revealed? The series finale will combine 1.23 and a 90-minute 1.24 to take up 2.5 hours of one May Wednesday night. Another of the things I don't think I knew prior to this weekend: Jorge Garcia (Hurley) was the first cast. I also didn't know Garcia was a comedian. Read more of the Reporter's story here.

WOW. I hope they do show it the first week of May. That's awesome 2.5 hours of LOST!
But what on earth can they find to fill in an extra 1/2 hour?
I say from 8:00-8:30 show a 1/2 hour long recap of the entire season leading up to the finale.
Imagine the ratings the finale will get, ABC should get around 20 million viewers the whole night through!

New corrected info. Not a 2.5 hour finale.

SPOILERS IN WHITE
Sayid will set out to kill one of the main characters. Someone who wronged him in the past. JJ confirmed that a cast member will be killed off. Also, I'm hearing that we will soon find out who knocked Sayid over the head back in the days of those transceiver shenanigans. Another clue to who dies: He's kinda sexy. I'm told [the death] will be the finale. The finale is a two-parter, and the second part is 90 minutes long, with the last half-hour virtually commercial free.
"By season's end... the raft that some castaways have been building will have set sail..
Boone becomes concerned when Locke suffers physical problems while they try to find a way into the mysterious hatch. Meanwhile, Jack is reluctant to help when Sawyer starts to experience excruciating headaches, and Michael and Jin struggle to communicate while working together on the raft.
Claire goes into labor while a helpless Charlie goes into panic mode. Meanwhile Locke is missing, Jack tends to a wounded survivor and Sayid presents Shannon with a romantic surprise.

Bye Bye Sawyer.

Don't rule out Hurley. That man's a hunk of deep-fried, burning love.
At least we know it's a he. My guess would be Boone. Locke'll kill him shortly after they open the hatch...

*spoilers*
Yeah, I think Boone is getting killed off. He brings nothing to the show, and Shannon is more interesting anyway.

But, Boone is too easy to kill off. And plus, JJ said it was hard killing this person off. I don't see how it could be hard to kill off Boone.

If it was up to me, I'd kill off Boone. But Loyal's source says that it's someone kind of sexy. I would think that means Jack, Sayid or Sawyer.

Sayid, maybe. But Jack and Sawyer are outright sex-bombs - not just "kinda sexy".
Boone's attractive in a Beverly Hills 90210 kinda way. He fits the kinda sexy criteria perfectly.
I'd bet my left nipple that Sawyer makes it to the second season.

I finally got to see the first episode and I am instantly hooked on this show. Trying to get a hold of episode 2 now.
