Yeah, it was Shannon's dad, Adam. Jack has seen many relatives of Shannon die now.

I've seen this and I don't believe it. The writers created Desmond over the break, so it would be impossible that they'd already had a logo made up that's directly about him in the 3rd episode. I could understand near the end of the season, but I think this is just an obscure coincidence.

LOL. The second comment raised that was covered in my long post of the season opener discussing all the different tid-bits, clues, clarifications, and teories set in motion by the first episode which no on has seemed to have looked over.

There were too many potential spoilers there for my taste

You know who I think is underrated as a castaway: Shannon
Think about it. She starts off as the ditzy spoiled blonde bitch, who can't get by on her own and depended on her father's/Boone's money. I think it sets her up as the perfect character to develop and change throughout the series into something much much more than what she is now. Like, I'm predicting by the end of the series she might end up being like the spiritual saviour of them all.

A site in the same field as OceanicFlight815.com etc
That's why I linked to it...it's more in keeping with the faux-ARG they set up with the Oceanic website and then the "forums" that branched from there. It's too bad nothing ever came of the fake "official" page at oceanicairlines.com or whatever the second one was...and xorco.com and all that...

I always had faith in Shannon and thought she had the most potential or among those with the greatest potential to be amazing characters. Unfortunately killing off Boone limited some of her potential, though maybe by not that much. It seems the writers don't really know or haven't come up with a grand scheme for her. Giving her responsibility of the dog this season seems to be getting rid of the responsibility to make a bigger arc so soon in the season and we might have to wait a while longer to see a second Shannon flashback, one of the only characters with a single episode for him/her.
So, yes... I agree how underestimated Shannon is as a character.

I think Boone will stay play a part later in the series. He'll be in all her flashbacks, and I think he'll possibly be seen with the island(like Jack's dad) or something. Or maybe he didn't really die, or he did and he'll come back as a super-being. Who knows.

Not really, it's just fan spectulation. Damn good fan spectulation, that is. Anyone could've come up with it if they gave it the time and effort.

YEah, I read that speculation before, at IMDB and it seems pretty valid to me too.

Spoilers (about episodes' content, very light):
The 6th episode will be about Shannon and Ian Somerhalder is indeed returning, which is great news that says he has no harsh feelings.

I'd like to believe this, but it's probably not true. Here's why:
http://imdb.com/name/nm0301370/ (Look at his most recent TV guest appearances)

That guy in your link, he's definitely one of the others but I don't think he's the one in that picture in Positive Jon's post.

I've seen M.C. Gainey in Con Air and Anchorman, so I'm almost positive that it's him.
