Hmmm... no one updated this yet! I guess Grey's Anatomy has also taken over its water cooler status.
Well, the episode was good. Bree was great and I wonder of they're still going to keep moving the drinking problem along or if that was the end of it. don't you just squirm every time something is bothering Lynette and she just HAS to ask and get to the bottom of it. We don't blame her, it's just so few people actually would have the nerve to do that. But, it's believable for her because it's not the first time and she constantly does it, so it's a character trait and not a means to get some plot rolling.
susan is such a filler this season
although Eddie digging through that desert was priceless!!!
I did not understand the last part or the resolution of Gabrielle's mom's storyline. what exactly happened?

The show is so generic now. A drinking problem? Its almost like they aren't trying anymore.

I watched it last season after being talked into it by a female friend and was impressed by how tightly scripted it was. Last season you really felt in almost every scene that they had thought it out well and it was all part of a bigger plan. This season, from the segments here and there I've seen, it's like you can almost here them saying "blah blah whatever". It's a shame. I can only guess that some of the writers moved on.

That is very true yes. That was my largest complaint in the beginning of the season. The show was originally thought up as only the first season. There was focused and balanced direction with a goal ahead and great execution until the very end. It's obvious the series did not have an end goal and so now they are a bit topsy turvey. It took about 7-8 episodes to get back into the groove.
I don't think it sucks anymore. I'd argue otherwise, but there still seems to be a lack of cohesiveness. There are WAYY too many storylines floating around this season and too many filler plots that last a few episodes. That's what they need to work on. But it has improved tremendously from the first quarter of the season.

They also really need to give the Hatcher character back her dignity. She used to serve as the one normal well adjusted one that the audience could relate to as an anchor among all the weirdness, but now she's just a joke, it's embarassing to see her. Wandering Spleen??

Yeah, all the characters seem to have something going for them except for Susan. The people who used to love her slapstick cuteness ahve probably all migrated to Gabrielle's camp; especially given how Eva Longoria has risen to the challenge this season by demostrating spot-on line delivery and excellent slapstick comedy.

Speaking of slapstick, Susan getting caught by her IV tube for next week's ep. does not look too promising.

Ironically, the only funny moment I can remember from Susan this season was the time she was left weeping in a wedding dress in the middle of the road. It wasn't supposed to be funny, but it just was.

I don't think I found it as funny as Cotton (though I did laugh) but I think I'm in the minority in thinking that wedding dress scene in the middle of the street was among my favorite Housewive scenes ever.
But I think by far the funniest Susan moment this season was when she was chasing Zack in the park.

I don't know why but I'm uber-excited to see Housewives tonight. Hasn't it been like 3 weeks since the last episode?
*waits impatiently*

Andrew is a small evil bastard. The kind of person who can turn on you for no apparant reason
I know Felicia isn't much of a saint either, but at least she has some kind of crazy, wicked edge that lends some fun to the show. Andrew's just jerk who really should be in jail.
Plus, what kind of a moron would squander a doe-eyed Ryan Carnes??? If that guy were into me as much as he's into Andrew I would...well...it's probably too explicit to talk about here, but I can assure that his love wouldn't go to such a waste

^^^ya I know what you mean
Anyway
This episode was fantastic. That last scene was just amazing. If Marcia doesn't get her Emmy this year, ahhh I'll SNAP!!
Susan's storyline for the whole season is filler. It's so pathetic that they have actuallu stretched this spleen thing over what, 5 episodes?
Lynette and Tom's storyline is pretty great. I love it, but I was hoping that bedroom scene would escalate into something more serious. There's been this sort of tension all season long and I hope they're going somehwere with it.
Gabrielle's plot was good too. Although... I didn't like the last part and the illegal or dirty ways by which they're gonna get their baby. I hope there's more to it. The Helen part was seriously ghastly. I actually felt REALLY bad for Gabrielle and Carlos.
I love Andrew and Bree. They have always been my favorite. I just can't figure out what the end game is going to be.
Compared to Season 1, episodes now are not as tightly wound but I can't complain because it's really got me hooked again.
Felicia is pretty wicked and demented. Wonder if the Mike/Paul/Zack srory peaked. IT seems things are gonna take a slow turn in that story department.
Next week's preview with Susan Mike/other boyfriend looks kinda stupid.
WHERE ARE THE APPLEWHITES??

Actually I agree that the Andre-Bree storyline finally seems to be going somewhere, despite being hideously far-fetched. However, I still hope the end-result leads to Andrew being reuntied with his father...if you know what I mean

What they did is remove most of the housewives aspect, the basic concept for the show. The only one who is a housewive now is Gabby and even she is not so much as when the show first started. It would be like if on the Office most of them got fired or if on Earl he went back to being a full time criminal.

I missed the episode, and I don't feel like I missed much. This show is just so generic now, its silly. They need to turn one of the housewives into a villain. I'm thinking Susan needs to go all Terminatrix on her spleen, and while she's at it, the whole non-Cross/Longoria cast...

I don't think it's really that far-fetched.
Bree's and Lynnett's storylines are practically the only ones that have any grounding in reality and thus, they are the most interesting (a t least to me).

Susan with this man isn't interesting, Susan with that new one isn't interesting. Susan with the old, old, ex one isn't interesting. Maybe Susan needs to try a lady...
