 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
Hotel was all about visual extravaganza. Story was practically non existent. Things seemed to happen just to conform to whatever visual idea they wanted to show. This at least has a story. Though it's way too generic. They're doing The Witch set in today's world basically, just with the lost colony excuse.

LOVE the twist. Last night's episode was amazing. The pig scene in the car scared the shit out of me.

 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
I thought the "twist" was absolutely retarded. Why would you go back there after you barely escaped the first time? Makes NO sense.

 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
That's a stupid reason to go back and risk your life. Because then you can be in the same room as him? Stupid logic.
Otherwise, this episode scared the crap out of me.

 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
This season is a mess. A quite fun one at times, though, and I am intrigued to see more of the real Butcher. It is a shame no one nixed the idea of the usually terrific Sarah Paulson doing, to my ear, a dreadful British accent.

 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
Last night's episode was fucking insanity! Oh my god! This season is fantastic, I agree. Best since "Coven" and easily the scariest overall. Last night's episode made my skin crawl.

 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
That burning alive scene has to be the most disturbing thing on the show's history.
This is officially my fave season. Unless.... the finale shits on it.

 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
Unsatisfying snooze of an ending. This season seriously descended into drivel after a promising, even eerie start. So many interesting avenues and characters and textures went underutilized amid a second half full of torture porn and self-satisfied social and media commentary. And everyone involved was clearly far too enamored of the mid-season twist.
And, again, what an unseemly smear on Sarah Paulson's recently sterling reputation. Her "oh-my-God!" posh-British affectations were dreadful.

 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
The twist should have been only for the last episode, maybe last two tops. Dragging Three Days in Hell out for five episodes (four I guess, plus that shit finale) was a bad idea. Killing everyone off was misguided. Telling us everyone would get killed off was misguided as fuck. I just don't think these people know how to properly develop a horror story.
The arrows from the sky in the finale was cool though.

 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
I thought the ending was pretty damn weak and a bit shit to be honest. Also the repetitiveness of people coming back and filming their own show there got really annoying. This should've been a 6 episode season.

 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
The finale felt so thrown together at the last minute. I honestly didn't care about the trial or murder. No one did. That's not what attracted anyone to the season. Then the second half of the finale was just the same stuff repeated.
Actually, I don't remember much of anything of the finale. Terrible ending.

 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
I finished the season yesterday. The ninth episode should have been the finale. The actual finale felt so pointless and the return of Lana Winters was wasted.
Overall I liked the season a lot though. Very creepy.

 Re: "American Horror Story: Roanoke"
If they found a better way to manage My Roanoke Nightmare and leave the twist and Three Days in Hell to two episodes at the most, it would have been great.
