I'm so happy about TGW's acting noms, but it was totally snubbed in the best drama series. It's easily better than half of those. I'm also happy about Veep.

I'm rooting for "So Did The Fat Lady"/anything Louie, and Futurama, and Matt Bomer.

Outstanding Drama Series
"Breaking Bad" (AMC)
"Downton Abbey" (PBS)
"Game of Thrones" (HBO)
"House of Cards" (Netflix)
"Mad Men" (AMC)
"True Detective" (HBO)

All signs point to a two-way race but they couldn't possibly ignore BB's epic final season, can they?

Outstanding Comedy Series
"The Big Bang Theory" (CBS)
"Louie" (FX)
"Modern Family" (ABC)
"Orange is the New Black" (Netflix)
"Silicon Valley" (HBO)
"Veep" (HBO)

The Alt is Veep. If Modern Family wins, it's only to tie a meaningless record.

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series
Bryan Cranston, "Breaking Bad" (AMC)
Jeff Daniels, "The Newsroom" (HBO)
Jon Hamm, "Mad Men" (AMC)
Woody Harrelson, "True Detective" (HBO)
Matthew McConaughey, "True Detective" (HBO)
Kevin Spacey, "House of Cards" (Netflix)

McConaughey wins, but if the Emmys shut out TD completely, it's Cranston's.

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series
Lizzy Caplan, "Masters of Sex" (Showtime)
Claire Danes, "Homeland" (Showtime)
Michelle Dockery, "Downton Abbey" (PBS)
Julianna Margulies, "The Good Wife" (CBS)
Kerry Washington, "Scandal" (ABC)
Robin Wright, "House of Cards" (Netflix)

No real favorite here. Kerry is popular and that should play well for her.

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series
Louis C.K., "Louie" (FX)
Don Cheadle, "House of Lies" (Showtime)
Ricky Gervais, "Derek" (Netflix)
Matt LeBlanc, "Episodes" (Showtime)
William H. Macy, "Shameless" (Showtime)
Jim Parsons, "The Big Bang Theory" (CBS)

I haven't the foggiest, but if they're in a good mood, C.K. for sure. If not, another typical Parsons win.

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series
Lena Dunham, "Girls" (HBO)
Edie Falco, "Nurse Jackie" (Showtime)
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, "Veep" (HBO)
Melissa McCarthy, "Mike & Molly" (CBS)
Amy Poehler, "Parks and Recreation" (NBC)
Taylor Schilling, "Orange is the New Black" (Netflix)

No one comes close. Three-peating it.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series
Jim Carter, "Downton Abbey" (PBS)
Josh Charles, "The Good Wife" (CBS)
Peter Dinklage, "Game of Thrones" (HBO)
Mandy Patinkin, "Homeland" (Showtime)
Aaron Paul, "Breaking Bad" (AMC)
Jon Voight, "Ray Donovan" (Showtime)

Anyone else is a crime.

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series
Christine Baranski, "The Good Wife" (CBS)
Joanne Froggatt, "Downton Abbey" (PBS)
Anna Gunn, "Breaking Bad" (AMC)
Lena Headey, "Game of Thrones" (HBO)
Christina Hendricks, "Mad Men" (AMC)
Maggie Smith, "Downton Abbey" (PBS)

Ditto, but I'm less sure of Gunn's chances.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
Fred Armisen, "Portlandia" (IFC)
Andre Braugher, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (Fox)
Ty Burrell, "Modern Family" (ABC)
Adam Driver, "Girls" (HBO)
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, "Modern Family" (ABC)
Tony Hale, "Veep" (HBO)

Big question mark. I feel they'll at least remember Modern Family's glory days by rewarding Burrell or Ferguson, but I really have no clue. Tough one.

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series
Mayim Bialik, "The Big Bang Theory" (CBS)
Julie Bowen, "Modern Family" (ABC)
Anna Chlumsky, "Veep" (HBO)
Allison Janney, "Mom" (CBS)
Kate McKinnon, "Saturday Night Live" (NBC)
Kate Mulgrew, "Orange is the New Black" (Netflix)

Hope so. Alt is Janney.

Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series
"Boardwalk Empire" (HBO) ("Farewell Daddy Blues)
"Breaking Bad" (AMC) ("Felina")
"Downton Abbey" (PBS) ("Episode 1")
"Game of Thrones" (HBO) ("The Watchers on the Wall")
"House of Cards" (Netflix) ("Episode 14")
"True Detective" (HBO) ("Who Goes There")

Deserves it.

Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series
"Breaking Bad" (AMC) ("Felina")
"Breaking Bad" (AMC) ("Ozymandias")
"Game of Thrones" (HBO) ("The Children")
"House of Cards" (Netflix) ("Chapter 14")
"True Detective" (HBO) ("The Secret Fate of All Life")

Deserves it more.

Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series
"Episodes" (Showtime) ("Episode 309")
"Glee" (Fox) ("100")
"Louie" (FX) ("Elevator, Part 6")
"Modern Family" (ABC) ("Vegas")
"Orange is the New Black" (Netflix) ("Lesbian Request Denied")
"Silicon Valley" (HBO) ("Minimum Viable Product")

I guess.

Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series
"Episodes" (Showtime) ("Episode 305")
"Louie" (FX) ("So Did the Fat Lady")
"Orange is the New Black" (Netflix) ("I Wasn't Ready")
"Silicon Valley" (HBO) ("Optimal Tip-To-Tip Efficiency")
"Veep" (HBO) ("Special Relationship")

Why not?

The biggest snub is Rian Johnson for Ozymandias.

Vera Farmiga was robbed, her season 2 performance was even better.

'Arrow' not being recognized for oustanding stunt coordination is a joke. It's clearly the best produced show on network tv.

I knew Stephen Amell would get overlooked - they don't have the fucking guts.

It is a shame Boardwalk Empire only received a single nomination. Jeffrey Wright definitely deserved recognition.
