Um, the pilot specifically says that Robin is not the Mother.

I'm not feeling this season so far. :/

3 episodes in, I can't get behind how much they are drawing out " I love Robin more than you." They've ruined Ted. His character was so behind their relationship in season 5 and season 7. They are unnecessarily going for drama, when they should be going for the laughs. That is why Seinfeld and even friends remains supreme comedies. I hope every week isn't "Oh no, maybe we shouldn't get married, and then resolve it each week." And cutting the group apart is the major flaw.

And it looks like the other worst character of the show Patrice, will be back tonight.


Oh, PS, they did a whole episode where Robin can't have children. However, I still think there is a possible big reveal, and I've said this before.

Robin and Ted get married in the end, but they all meet the woman, who becomes the surrogate for their children. And that's how it the story came about. It's about all the ways it fell into place to meet their birth mother. Lawyered!

Have a little faith in the writers, man.

I mean the 200th episode (which will air in the spring) is called "How Your Mother Met Me" and I wouldn't be surprised if it's told from Miloti's perspective.

Plus, just go back to the first episode where Ted says Robin isn't the mother.

The surrogate theory doesn't make sense. The episode with Rachel Bilson where you see the mother's room/ the conversation between Lily and the mother...the writers are trying to make the two as compatible as possible. Wouldn't make any sense to make them "perfect" for each other, only to pull the rug. Seems low just for the sake of a plot twist.

It's perfectly in line with other shows that have shitty finales.

Finales in general are never too satisfying, especially for comedies. Even decent ones like Friends, Fresh Prince, The Cosby Show, are not known for being the best episode in the series. They're also usually light on laughs because they go for more dramatic and goodbyes, too many reunions, often times coming off as cheesy.

My point is, I know it's not going to be the surrogate thing. I'm just saying don't get overly excited for an amazing finale. I don't think one has ever existed.

Oh I would be completely unsurprised by a darker twist i.e. mother/barney dying so ted and robin get together (ted's speech to the mom last season would be a very fitting eulogy). Just wanted to point out the silliness of the surrogate theory.

Also, Friends finale was awesome. Don't hate. Cosby sucked because it was literally one flashback. Seinfeld didn't seem very fitting. Lost finale just sucked.

You saying this literally 8 days after what most peope consider one of the most amazing finales ever.

Solid episode last night. Robin's fantasy about what she would do when Lily left was hilarious

Lily annoyed me last night. But I loved Robin not being able to make normal friends.

Okish episode. Robin not having any friends who are girls will probably come back when she meets and befriends the mother. Ted/Barney storyline was handled pretty poorly. Marshall not being at the wedding doesn't really make sense at all-aside from delaying the judge reveal to Lily. Also, PATRICE.

Yeah I kinda want Marshall back with the rest of the gang already.

And more appearances from The Mother, stat!

But I loved the acknowledgment that Robin doesn't have girlfriends, Lily's possessive behavior of her at the end, and Patrice coming back lol. The Ted/Barney stuff felt a little more...glossed over...than it probably should have, but what can you do.

Still really liking this season.

Probably the best use of Marshall so far this season with him still being away from the group.

Worst episode of the season by far. No character/storyline progression or laughs at all really. At least next week looks better
