And yeah, this just had to be posted.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Bill Hader is the most talented person they have on the show right now.

Re: Fall '08 host schedule for SNL?
I have just discovered Casey Wilson (the new cast member) is a 1998 graduate of T.C. Williams High School, which is extremely close to here. You may also remember it as the high school portrayed in Remember the Titans.
Anyway...fun!

[youtube2]http://youtube.com/watch?v=bAWyVhVFGTE[/youtube2] Yep. I'd say the skit is more good than brilliant though, Armison's Chigurh was really pathetic and dragged the whole thing down, (along with the guy in the glasses at the end.) I think I could do a better Bardem impression than that, I mean really. Awful. I think he's the next guy they should dump.

Re: Fall '08 host schedule for SNL?
Just watching the Tina Fey episode. Pretty good so far! I think this is the most Tina Fey has appeared outside of Weekend Update. And not just in one episode. In all of her six or seven years on the show!
Tonight, Ellen Page hosts. YAY!
Next week, Amy Adams hosts. Yay again!
In two weeks, Jonah Hill's long lost hosting gig (he was scheduled for a November episode, and for obvious reasons, it didn't happen) will happen. Umm... I still think he's okay. Not great, but can't be any worse than, say, LeBron James or some other sports figure.

Re: Fall '08 host schedule for SNL?
Daniel Day-Lewis should share his Oscar with Bill Hader.
Fred Armisen did indeed suck as Bardem, but of the entire cast, he looked most like him, so. Since it wasn't the lead part in the sketch, I was fine with it.

Yeah, SNL really is on a roll with hosts. Add Steve Carell and Shia LaBeouf at the end of the season (or so I've heard) and it's a pretty solid post-strike schedule. I don't even mind Jonah Hill all that much.

This is my first time watching SNL since 2004. And it absolutely sucked until that hilarious Boleyn Girls skit. And now it's unfunny again.

This isn't funny...at all. What the hell was Ellen Page thinking? She drops out of a Sam Raimi film but agrees to do SNL, which has sucked for years.

That was the worst attempt at comedy I've ever seen. Ellen Page is awful, but you can't blame her. The writing is terrible.

Korrgan wrote: This is my first time watching SNL since 2004. And it absolutely sucked until that hilarious Boleyn Girls skit. And now it's unfunny again. I agree almost completely agree. Only caveat is that nothing at all was funny. That show is fucking awful. I remember why I don't watch network comedy anymore. Weekend Update is a sorry excuse for a Daily Show/Colbert ripoff at this point. Both Poehler and Meyers look utterly bored with it. And the former looks like a smug bitch with an "I'm too good for SNL" look. Which she isn't. She's pretty much always been terrible, and she's the worst part of every movie she's in. Time for this and and Simpsons (the other utterly horrible should-have-ended-10-years-ago show) to go away already.
